I appreciate your review! I love my Q Acoustics 3050i speakers. I purchased them some time ago for the same price as these. The bass has great depth, and the mids and highs sound wonderful, just as you mentioned. Initially, I considered getting the 3020i, but I found the larger 3050i with minor cosmetic damage-just a few scratches on one of the units. Since I plan to keep these speakers for many years, this didn’t bother me at all, especially If they are underneath just one speaker and out of sight. Even in a medium-sized room, the 3050i performs well as a two-way speaker, but it truly shines in larger spaces, revealing even more detail in the depth of sound. While they don’t offer the same level of image separation as my much older Monitor Audio GS10 speakers, they are much easier to listen to. I find them comparable to the older Monitor Audio Bronze range, which I could listen to all day. I can thank reviews such as yours for buying my speakers and I can tell the audience this review is in the money .
Great review as usual. Those speakers all look so awesome. Speaker designers not only go for sound quality but they know that beautiful designs draw buyers in. I don't care if they're the the best speakers in the universe, if they're ugly I don't want them. LOL BTW Kudos on the production value of your videos.
Thank you! This video, was a tough one to edit because it was all footage off my older Canon m50 which was always unsharp and the colors were muddy. All of my new ones are on the fx30 which is so much easier to use!
Enjoyed video, ive thought about buying a set of Q acoustic bookshelf speakers a while back, but SVS ultra bookshelf original series went on sale and were not gonna be on production line anymore. I got the 2nd to last one in a Ohio warehouse from SVS & paid $768 tax & all & they were originally $1100. So i pulled the trigger & got them in gloss black. I still really think about buying a set of Q acoustics still. I bet that paired with the Cambridge gear sounds marvelous. Great video, & thanks for the information on these beautiful speakers
I really like the look of the 606 S3. Especially the oak version. Question: is there a tone difference between the speakers when you had them all hooked up with the Cinema 70 and the Rotel amp when watching movies or listening to immersive music?
@@0102studio thank you for the speedy reply. I clicked the thumbs up button and subscribed to your channel. Please keep making great content. Pax et Bonum.
@ oh nice yes - please accept my apologies, you have the Bowers sub, very nice! I don’t know much about home theatre stuff tbh, but bought a REL T5X sub for my 707s3! So how would you compare your 607 with sub vs the 606s?
@ 606 and it’s equivalents over the years have always been special - I upgraded from a pair of DM601s which I love and be keeping. You can pair them with anything! I had my DM601s with a NAD C352. I thought I would try something different this time around, so bougnt AudioLab amp&cd 8300 series plus the 707s3. This combo works well so far, the separation is great and the tweeter is fine! I added the sub just to give it all a little more body! We’ll see! I will always have a soft spot for the 606s (and their equivalents)!
First class review. You don't get caught up in technical details, unlike so many of your fellow TH-camrs . Well done 👏
Thanks Paul!

I think you made the right purchase. I was bowled over by the 3050 when I heard them too!

You’re welcome! I hope to get some SVS in house soon, I love their products!

I didn’t notice one. Though it may have been something I mentally chose to ignore.
What is, or will be, the Q Acoustic 3020i replacement?
There’s a revamped 3000 series on the way. New midbass drivers

@ thanks so much for the support! Hopefully the new 3000 series finds its way over here for a review!
Just wondering have you tried the Bowers with a sub?
You should watch the video!

@ oh, well its depends, I prefer the larger 606s for my taste in music and scale. Not all of this is achievable by just adding a sub.

@@LDN_BOX I think you have a great set up. Don't second guess yourself, just enjoy it!
