Land Cruiser 100 series Wood Trim Removal

Here is my 1st mod or should I say 1st un-mod, mod! Removing the wood trim in the 100 series Land Cruiser for anyone looking to do the same or just wondering what it looks like without it.

I still think the wood trim looks good too. If mine wasn’t so tarnished in spots I wouldn’t have messed with it. 06 is a good year with the (VVT-i) added horsepower. Hang on to her!

Caution!! Great Idea and video! but NO ALCOHOL!! It will remove or disolve the dark gray paint and smear it over the silver paint on the console bezel. It did it on mine when I tried it to ease the removal. The bezel area was the hardest so that was when I decided to use alcohol. So it permanently stained it.😒😒

Thanks for this video. I have a 97 4runner with wood trim. It's in much worse condition than yours so good to know I can remove it. Yours looks much more modern now 👍👍

Looks so much better! I'm planning on doing mine, however I think I'll wait until the summer as it ain't that hot here in the UK at the moment. Mines a 2003 LC Amazon 100 HDJ btw...great video thanks.

You bet! Definitely wait till a hot summer day is probably best. Or next best would be use a heat gun, hair dryer, turn the heat on high and let it run for bit is another option. Good luck

@@pickettbuilt2686 Damn! It looks like mine is solid plastic wood trim and not simply covered over! I removed the door switch trim and it's that colour all the way through. Mine is a 2003 LC 100HDJ. Complete trim change required!
