Dude this looks awesome! I like the wood trim on my LX470 but it’s in good condition but regardless Yours looks great! I’d definitely do the rest of the dash trim. Looking forward to seeing the results.
Wow, that looks fantastic! I personally like the black better than the wood trim on certain colors of 470s & LC. The corner of my wood trim on my LC wore out this summer, which provides me the incentive to do this project.
The first thing I did when I got my LC was to git rid of the wood garbage. I used iOS head to get the glue off. I did paint mine the original silver cover though. Yes, get rid of all the wood, but paint with a flat black. Piano black is terrible!
It looks beautiful! I like all your video's if you have time will you please do a video on replacing a landcruiser drivers side exterior door handle cheers
Got the REMIN 31pc kit from CARID FOR $212. I ordered medium burl but i can't decide if I like the newer lighter shades better. Platinumburl is more like the LX470.
Very nice, it looks so much better than before! A worthy DIY for sure! Should you do the same to the infotainment area...? I would say yes, but that just opens up the rabbit hole of also removing any other wood trim you might have on the vents or door cards depending on your level of "everything must match!". 😁 The extra-extra mile would be doing a little tape work and playing with some areas gloss and others textured/matte in high scratch or sun reflectivity locations. Not needed, but could save some annoyance down the road. (ie: center section matte and outside surround where the vents are in gloss)
Job well done, very nice, definitely do the rest, looks classy and finished when done.
Well that looks amazing. Good job. Mine looks pretty terrible as well but I just can't be bothered. Nice job though!
Brah that came out cherry! Looks OME . Yes do it all
DANG! Looks great! Well done sir.
You are brave. It came out great. Hope you left the homage to wood grain around the radio, but either way no wrong. Looks great!!

I have the LX too, but you're right. This looks great!
God damn that transformation 0:04 😲 I need to do this too.

My new wood kit comes in the mail today! Gotta remove all of that old crappy wood.
Which one did you get?

Removing that old stuff is a chore. Must be that super 3M adhesive tape. Really tough to get off. Gonna try the Goo Gone next.
Beautiful
Yes do the same with the other trim part!

Well done!
Piano black is pretty but is a dust magnet
I've got black from factory, I'd want a matt finish to match the rest of the car.
Thanks for the vid buddy
Nice work. Where did you get the shifter cover (PRND2L)?
What grit did you use?
600 for the bare plastic, 1500 for primer and color sand
Nice! You have to get the "Center Gear Shift Console Cubby" (You're using the block off plate) Only $15.00. Handy little cubby
Where do you order that from?
Hubba hubba
Now its time to clean your motor.
I'd buy a new wood kit for $200. Nice job on the paint work but it is going to scuff quickly.
That's hot love me saying panko black
