So here's the truth: most companies don't want to give you something for free.

There are definitely free website builders but they often put limitations on free websites that are designed to get you to upgrade.
This video is a rapid tour of the top free website builders. I tell which ones are great and which ones probably aren't worth your time.
Square online is my highest recommendation- it has plenty of features and a small ad.
Webflow has a learning curve but is an outstanding custom design tool. They include a small ad on free websites.
Carrd has a really, really small ad on free websites and is for one page websites.
Google Sites has a small ad and lets you connect a custom domain name. Unfortunately it lacks style customization.
Webnode is great but it has a bandwidth limitation.
Ucraft, Strikingly, Wordpress.com, GoDaddy and Wix all have large ads- too large for me to recommend.

I might give square a good try. Could you review Weebly? It is made by square and uses the square login, but the app just crashes crashes crashes. Maybe it can get fixed later on.

@@MatttAt no totally sure, but there is an element limit with the free version, so you'd need to upgrade in order to continue adding elements(to create pages)

Something for new people watching this video: In Google sites you can now make your own themes and change basically everything from text sizes, fonts, colors etc. etc. it's really good :)

Almost all offer domain names and email- but none will offer that on a free plan. Hope that helps!

Please make a video on any online web builder ( if available) where one can design his / her static website for free, download it for free and host it where ever he /she want.
I don't think you can. Most website builders don't let you export code on their free plan. So you can upgrade to a plan that has code export, cancel it, and done.

Enrolling is not as easy as I expected, nor was support. It seemed I was not able to enroll my domain on free site, and was not able to find any method of customer support on the site. What happened?

So... This week I met the IM Creator, I found it a little boring to edit, but it's pretty cool!
Although google sites seems bad there you did miss some features and google sites does actually support text sections offering a custom html import also means that even tho they don’t have you can use a desktop page creator and then upload the site.

I agree with a lot of builders on your list. I've used Webflow, Carrd, Wix, and Ucraft in the past.
My favorites are definitely Webflow, Carrd and Wix. It really depends on the specific usecase. Some smaller personal projects are completely fine on Carrd. If more is needed, I either chose EditorX (Wix) or Webflow. For blogging I normally add BlogHandy to any of those builders since it's easier for my content writers to use than any of the website builder's native blogging features.
The Weebly builder is so much better than Square and they've basically stopped supporting the original Weebly users. Oh, and they *say* there's phone support but there really isn't anymore. Good luck trying to get to your webpage editor, everything is focused on payments to the detriment of actual web building. I'm watching this video to help choose a new platform. Don't waste your time and Square. And before you say, "but the card dongle and POS system makes everything so easy, all in one place"... Watch reviews on their business practices. They've taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from small businesses.
Square online sucks, you need to enter your SSN, legal name, phone, and other things
Square locked me out of my own healing crystal store BECAUSE THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN IT! They've done that to some other Tarot readers I know as well. It was a good looking and functioning website but I lost all my work. Will never go back to them.

Four top priorities for me...
Easy-going about content, easy to use, excellent customer service - does such a page/website builder combined with hosting even exist?
Priority II...
A servers in USA as well as in Asia, monthly subscription to test; any price within reason (under $45 USD per month). Free can be and usually is very expensive, i.e. poor value
What website builder is similar to Google in terms of simplicity of use (my designated feature needs are very minimal), easiness to migration out if I get serious and get someone to build me a website which I transfer to a Managed Word Press host, and *customer service*.
Here are my comparitive experience so far...
1. Blogger/Blogspot (2007): very easy to us (could learn by playing with it), good enough. But Google has some very strict, and apparently not universally applied content restrictions. I need a service that is 'as long as you aren't breaking the law of our jurisdiction (including no copyright infringement), and attracted DoS attacks, we truly don't care what you write'. Google took down both my blogs. I seek a very robust First-Amendment web host, because it'[s no longer neo-nazi and porn sites that get closed by Big Tech. F Can't write about this, can't write about that. I find it way too 'woke', and I am not even conservative. My values are basically those of the 1970s and 1980s.
2. Squarespace (2023): Did not like it, too complicated visually and the customer service I did not test. Moderate-priced - I did not continue beyond the trial because it appeared to be too image-oriented. I want something that helps create something more like a magazine for serious readers.
3. Visual Composer (current) on a Managed Word press web host: excellent tech support but waaaay too complicated. Moderately-priced but too many features and the interface tis beginner finds visually confusing and therefore distracting
So, where is the 'sweet spot'?
