- Mega Jay Retro Unboxes and reviews the Soul of Chogokin GX-19 Getter Liger Collectible die cast toy by Ban Dai Toys. Released in December of 2003, these collectable toys feature die cast and plastic parts. Ball Joints for multiple pose possibilities, and multiple accessories.
This is one of Jay's favourite Cartoon and Anime Series growing up, and he discusses the Toy almost 30 years later. This is an extensive review of the Getter Liger aka Star Arrow figure which was featured on the Starvengers TV series of the 1980s and the 1970s Getter robo series in Japan.

I first saw Star Arrow when I was about 6. He was a Shogun Warrior and he showed up with a lot of Micronauts for Christmas. It was @#$%ing magical. At the time, I didn't get that the robots had pilots. or that Arrow was only one part of a 3 combo robot Force Five took it to a whole new level. These characters are part of my childhood.
Ah the Shogun Warriors! Mazinger Z aka Tranzor Z was one of those too! I think Star Dragon was also available! You had an amazing Childhood Hamelt! Just like many of us in the 80s!
Same I remember when they took it off Network tv, then cable was new I'd run home every day after school and they would show it on Showtime or what was Showtime back then!

He's my favorite from the series. Sadly, they didn't spotlight him enough.
Thanks for watching my video JH Boob, Star Arrow was my brother's favourite. He was a fan favourite, I also had a soft spot for Poseidon, but my personal favourite will always be Star Dragon.
I do love the fact that Series takes Star Arrow when Paladin was captured for a short time. I was hoping she'd be able to take over for longer like Princess Allura in Voltron.

I always thought Star Arrow was the coolest of the 3 robots and wish it was used more. Arrow Speeeeeeeeeed!
I love this series. The one thing I wish they had done with the SOC Getter Robo G, was to have the mid section have a ball joint connector. So the upper torso could rotate forward and back etc. But other than that it's awesome (mind you I don't think most of the SOC's have that mid section rockers). Man I have to take mine out of the box and put it on display soon! Great review
Ab crunch!!!! Yes that would be great! but I think all of the very early SOC GX's from like 1 - 27 didn't have ab crunch abilities. I'd LOVE to see your collection dude! post on my facebook page haha!

@@megajayretro hope all is well, Jay. Yes. When I 1st started collecting these I never really liked the design of the getters. The only 2 designs besides g1 devolution is the gx 18 19 + 20 and the Fewture ones. Those would come to about 1500 for all 3 but the absolutely are works of art
