Trivia: The Starvengers opening theme is the opening of Getter Robo, off-vocal.
Which means you can "WAKAI INOCHI WA MAKKA NI KOETE" while it's airing.
"The Flame of Youth" yes yes! The immortal Isao Sasaki at his best! The instrumental version is still closest so my heart though!

Monday Danguard Ace Tuesday Staceketeers Wednesday Starvengers Thursday Grandizer, and Friday Gaiking.
Grandizer was the baddest of them all. It was basically based on American Westerns, Shane in particular. Grandizer was the only one that could move fluidly without looking like a clunking robot.

Also, you switched it up-- Tuesday was Starvengers/Getter Robo G, Wednesday was Spaceketeers. I only remember because Spaceketeers was my least favorite (not that it was bad, I just liked Gaiking, Grandizer, Starvengers, and Dangard Ace more because Stompy Robots and Spaceketeers didn't have any).
Yeah I was walking through a hobby shop back in '06. I walked down an aisle and saw them out of the corner of my eye. I bought all 3! Still love them.

Dude, THANK YOU. Your channel gets me all nostalgic. You know about Force Five! I was under the impression that was a Scarborough, Toronto thing only! Yes, I know they're special ... I loved the characters back in the late 70's when they were still Shogun Warriors. They aren't going anywhere until I'm dead.

I made my first trip to Japan in October, if you look hard enough through all the toy shops around the Tokyo area you'll actually find the whole Chogokin line from Bandai. My first day in Tokyo I found the saucer set for Grendizer, a Menzinger Z, yes I bought both for @ $300.00 US total. The Grendizer robot itself was hard to find, had to order off Ebay for $150.00 US as I had limited time. Also in my search I saw a Dengar Ace, many different Menzingers, Gaikings including the Dragon ship itself. If you can find the means for a trip to Tokyo do it, you won't regret it. Also be prepared to buy an extra suitcase to haul everything back home.
Chipspicer you have NO IDEA how jealous I am of you!!! I will go to the promised land of the Rising Sun one day! For now I can only collect what I can via e-Bay and re-sellers here in the west (being hosed on prices sucks!!!) but I still love what my meager collection has given me! I just ordered Star Dragon.. after seeing your collection at the end.. I'm going to have to get the complete set.. just wonderful.. for some long I thought maybe I was the only kid that LOVED that cartoon back in the day.. I am happy to see if was not..

I bought all three in April of 2006 (yes, I remember). They're perfect.
Absolutely the BEST! I'm not a fan of the newer "transforming" versions, as they get a little dumb in trying to explain how the Getters transform. But its still among my favourite anime's of all time. Thanks for watching @momtonat consider subscribing to my channel. I've got more videos coming! 😀

Ebay is probably your best bet, do a search for "Getter Dragon SOC" or "Getter Dragon Soul of Chogokin" There are a few on Amazon, but they're way over priced.
