This video describes into detail and shows the aftercare of day ONE and day TWO. I am not a professional and this isn't the only way to take care of a tattoo, there are many ways. All of my tattoos have healed perfectly using these steps and methods, so for me this procedure works amazing and i hope it helps all of you. I've had two tattoos for 10 years just bold linework, im now 75% through my 1/8 sleeve of much better work then I previously had and it made me realize how good yours really is. I think the only other tatts I've seen i like this much is Paul Booths stuff

My artist and a couple of others I have researched have spoken negatively against aquaphor, saying it’s too much like Vaseline and does not let the tattoo breath. I got my tattoo yesterday and am currently and using lubriderm. Do you think I should stick with it? Or give aquaphor a try?
I think it’s still really good to use and have used it a lot. You just have to use VERY LITTLE!! I’ve started to use other products & testing them out. Hustle butter is really good, sanibalm and also another product called healaxis

i just got a 444 tattoo on my wrist kinda on the side going up and it’s been two days and it still hurts like rug burn kind of and it’s not red or anything but when i wash it or touch it it hurts really bad, i use aquaphor too and i noticed blood or ink kinda spreading around the tattoo where the excess aquaphor was and i was wondering if that was normal
I've always been told to use the cocoa butter that comes in the little round container.
Aquaphore is SO good. I use the spray on my pieces bc fuuuuck rubbing it on day 1 or 2
So Day 1 we only wash it once? Or do we do the morning, afternoon, night as well? Should we shower before or after we clean? I'm scheduled to get a tattoo in a few weeks. Your videos are informative. My question is, should I start out with Hustle Butter in the first 5 days of aftercare? Or should I use Aquaphor within the first 5 days? Guess what I'm trying to convey is which one is used initially, then secondary for daily moisture? Your feedback is appreciated ✨️
Aquaphor is a moisturising and healing ointment so I would start off with that. Then move on to Hustle Butter later which seems like a general moisturised. :) Your artist will also have instructions for you and you can ask them all your questions.
I wouldn’t switch from one healing ointment to another just because both are skittle heavy on the skin no matter how thin you go! I’d choose one of those (both are great) then switch over to a moisturizer that’s unscented
So on day 1 how many times to do you usually wash and apply ointment?

Got a very detailed forearm tattoo yesterday and just woke up and washed it. I was freaked out a bit bc this morning there was a lot of black come off it which didn’t happen either of the 2 times that I washed it yesterday. There’s parts of the tattoo that still looks shiny/feels slimy. Is it normal to still have the slimy parts the next day? Have literally washed this tattoo 3 times since getting it and it’s still just slimy in areas. So does that mean I’m still oozing plasma? *this is only my 2nd tattoo and my first big one. The other was just a small quote and the artist had put saniderm on it so I didn’t have to do much aftercare*
You’re fine some people’s body’s are Different. Your tattoo is totally fine, just continue to keep washing it
On day 0 of getting a new tat should I watch 3x and mosturize 3x or just wash 1x with no mosturize?
I just did a half sleeve 3.5 hours, my artist said I shouldn't wet it at all, and I'm confused now because I saw your first video afew hours afew you had already washed yours, so I washed mine too😂 it is kind of burning but I did not apply any ointment I'm leaving it to dry throughout the night
My artist who is pretty good said change wrap once when i get home and 4 times next day and not to use moisturizer until the 3rd day then use aveno once a day does that aound right im on the 2nd day and the wraps annoying af to changs ifs a half sleeve that goes to my chest we just did the line work
I put aquaphor on the first day, I have an allergy to saniderm and all that stuff so I don’t have any other option but to not use any protection leaving the tattoo shop and going to sleep etc. do you think it was a bad idea to put aquaphor on the first night instead of letting it dry out?

I got a tattoo in pretty much the same spot. Expect My left shoulder, down to my elbow, to about halfway around my tricep, and halfway around my bicep. My bicep section is so swollen and has a pretty gnarley bruise. Any advice?
Bruising is normal and will go away!! Keep up with aftercare as usual

I used to use Bepentham but was told not to.
That I’ve had acouple people tell me they’re using and I looked it up and said not to use. Coconut oil is something you can use

Hi there mate, just got my sleeve done, we don't have aquaphor in Australia so I was using a brand named DR pickles tattoo balm, I found that to very thick and hard to evenly apply on the tattoo, so my question is can I use aveeno baby from day 1 onwards? I am washing it 3 times a day with an antibacterial tattoo wash I have also. Thanks champion.
I’d say try your best to use a healing ointment. That’s fine if you don’t have aquaphor, there are many alternatives. After acouple days you can then switch to the aveeno 👊🏼
Justin my man! what do you do day 1 for covering a lower half sleeve ? Work as a mechanic, Just long sleeves and keep the wash and lube mid day ?
So personally I would recommend Saniderm because It acts as a second barrier but if you do not have that than I do recommend wearing plastic for the first couple days when working along with the long sleeve and then every couple hours make sure that you were washing it and keeping it clean and definitely make sure that you are not putting your hand down any areas that may scratch because it may scar the skin and ruin the tattoo

3x a day that might be over kill.. the plastic is no longer needed after 24 hrs. Maybe while you sleep if it's still really sensitive.
Should I wear syran wrap/cling film while I sleep on day 0 and what’re I sleep on day 1. Some people have said bandage it for the first 3 days but idk.
Naw I’d only have the wrap on for the first night. After that sleep with it off to get air. Just make sure you’re sleeping in clean bed sheets
Im so nervous now, my artist instructed me as soon as i got home remove the wrap, wash, dry and apply aquaphor immediately and not to rewrap. And to repeat these steps 2-3 times a day for the remaining days, im on day 4 and starting yesterday i stopped using aquaphor and switched to lubiderm. My tattoo looks alot darker and a bit wrinkly but no peeling or very noticeable scabbing.
I was told to remove the wrap in an hour and to wash + moisturize 3x a day 😂 I could've left it at that but decided to look online and see what others are doing...so much conflicting information is making me nervous lol How are you sleeping with your tattoo? Do you wrap it?
Yeah that’s pretty much how I do it too. I put the plastic back on for the first day and night because you’ll find clothing and the bedding will stick to it also acts as another barrier. And as for sleeping just try your best to not sleep on it

My tattoo artist said that i should not use water in tattoo for first 7 days. Only apply healing cream 3 times a day. Is this right method?

How did I get rid of the pimples , I'm on day 1 of my first tattoo I didn't know you was supposed to wait a few minutes after washing to put ointment on it so now there's pimples already and i accidentally put to much ointment on it listening to other ppl🤦🏽♀️ I don't know what to do I need help 😢

Yeah that’s exactly what to do. But I Wouldn’t use moisturizer for the first 4 days. Use healing ointment. Then after that switch over
