Can you race with a RTR RC Truck? Team Associated Pro2 SC10 First Race

  • Last season - I raced in 4WD SCT with my Losi DB Pro buggy. It is a 4WD SCT chassis...with a really heavy body and light bar on it. :)
This season, I am moving to 2WD SCT...and doing it as cheaply as possible!
While others are racing full-blown race vehicles from Tekno, Team Associated, and Losi....I decided to get the Team Associated Pro2 SC10. A plastic chassis, basic brushless SCT that comes in just over $300.
Can this truck actually compete with vehicles with much higher price tags? I am here to test it out!

Whish they'd do a spec class using these sc10 instead of the slash.. the sc10 is sooo much better for it. Slash is nothing but a wide chassis stampede with a fancy body.

@@RoadsideRC Stock RTR 2wd Slash still comes with the high CG chassis, and there is no comparing that to the Pro2. Pro2 is light years better. But even the LCG chassis conversion for the Slash, the Pro2 is going to be better. Lighter, and better suspension geometry, and generally better design. I say that as someone who spent a long time trying to make a 2wd Slash run with the rest of the 13.5 SCTs.

I think RPM makes the best upgrade parts for when the stock parts brake. Other than that it's all about tuning(tires, shock oil/springs, gears, & maybe a quicker servo) & that just takes time getting to know your driving style. Most important thing is keep it fun. Good luck have fun and keep up the great content.

The pro sc10 is just a b4 t4 race chassis. The sc10 was a race truck before it was a rtr lol. U are just driving a old race truck with rtr shocks and electrics unlike a slash that was never a race truck. And that's how spec slash came about. There not good enough to compete at a pro level except against there selfs lol

@RoadsideRC second is first loser. If your not first your last 🤣. I run a slash in a dirt oval sc street stock class it does ok at a club level but you go to a big race amd good luck. The tunability is not there compared to the others unless you have all aftermarket stuff and at that point you might as will get a race kit.

I'm not sure where you live but hear in Eastern North Carolina 2wd and 4wd SCT racing happens just about every weekend. In the summer it's outdoor tracks and winter it's still some outdoor tracks but mostly indoor tracks.
Where I live there are 6 nice Hobby Shops with AWESOME tracks with in a 100 mile radius and one of the nicest and most popular is just 20 minutes away. Sure hope you can find a place to race them because it is so much fun. ✌🏼
