No season will ever be more emotional than 2015. Went from never being more embarrassed to be a Mets fan at the trade deadline to never being prouder by the end of the season.
I remember crying when Flores hit that walkoff. That changed our season
Flores hit a walk off in 2014 it didn’t change their season Flores hit a walk off in may if 2015 it didn’t change their season Flores hit a bunch of walk offs in 2018 and 2017 and team finished in 4th CESPEDES changed their season

@@Frenite He is talking about the game from August during their hot streak. They were down 6-3 going into the bottom of the ninth, Fraizer hits a 3 run homerun tying it, and Conforto hit in the winning run.
That should have taken the spot of the Harvey game tbh

Wrong teams didn’t take Mets seriously so once Mets took a lead teams started to focus and exposed the Mets

He meant so much to the city. I was emotional with Jeters last game, as well as Arods last game

I keep up with the Mets as much as I do with the Yankees, but I consider myself a Yankee fan.

Steven Matz first game should be honorable mention...his grandfather still gives me goosebumps
I remember that... He hit well that game, too; never had the talent or Syndergaard or deGrom, but he is a hard worker and (I think) has potential
I was at that game. It was a double header because of a suspended game and it went from the 7th to 14th inning and then Matz lit it up pitching and hitting after giving up a lead off homer to start the game

jeesh! Wasn't he something? At one point its like I expected a no hitter to happen sooner rather than later and I definitely thought he'd go on to be one of if not the best pitcher in the game while leading us to multiple world series and a title or two by now. But nope.
Thanks to Mike Baxter who probably shortened his career to make an incredible catch
Santana's career was shortened by this game as well.
Santana and Baxter both sacrificed their left shoulders and the remainder of their careers to make Mets history together, and I think that's beautiful.
I dispute the Santana claim (see above), but yeah. Mike from Whitestone got bit by wall almost as badly as Ron Jones, way back when.
Flores HR is #1. What he went through and what it meant for the team at that time. Mets hit rock bottom before that with blown game to San Deigo. It was the spark game that lead the Mets to the WS.
No-Han. That game looking back feels like the Last Mission for a loyal soldier. He was determined to go out there and get it done.

Honorable mention: to the game David Wright came back from the DL and his first AB he hits a long shot into the upper deck in Philly sometime in the 2017 season I think!!!
August 24, 2015. The Mets go on to hit a club-record 8 HRs in pounding the Phils.
And an honorable mention to "Jacob DeGrom souvenir Hair-Hat Night", September 17, 2016. Not just for the awesome giveaway, or because I got my first foul ball ever (off Brian Dozier, 3rd pitch of the game), but because that was Granderson's switch-hit HRs in extra innings, tying in the bottom of the 11th, winning in the bottom of the 12th. Second-best win of that whole run, behind only the Reyes/Cabrera game against the Phils.

I was at the WIlmer Flores walk off game and it was special I will never forget it.
Santana put his heart out for that no hitter and I'll aways respect him and love for him, bc he was never the same after that. Great pitcher
As great a phenomenon as 2013 Matt Harvey was, it seems sacrilegious to put that game ahead of all the 2015 games.

That 2015 team was special, man. The chemistry, the pitching, the post season heroics of Daniel Murphy, all of it. Shame they fell apart so hard at the last hurdle. There will never be another Mets team like this again.

I will also say one of the best games I seen was on espn when we hosted the Nats at Citi and we swept them in 3 games and Duda, granderson and Murphy hit back to back to back home runs. Wild game.

Henrik lundqvist Carmelo Anthony jeter Wright ...also that was a meaningless game in an aweful 2013 season
@@hallsyhockey774 in the years I mentioned, Harvey started in the All Star Game at Citi Field, became a fan and city favorite, being called the dark night, came back as a stellar ace in 2015 after tommy john, and helped get the Mets to the world series.
Henrik in those years, while he was a great goaltender for the rangers, he was nowhere on the level as impactful as Harvey, to his city.
While Wright was the captain of the Mets, and had always been an amazing person and players, in those 3 years, it was Harvey who because that _guy_ for the Mets, and New York.
Jeter retired in 2014, so he was absent for one of the years I mentioned anyways, and his play had been declining in those years mentioned as well. For Harvey, he was hitting his peak in those years.
The only real comparable player to Harvey in those years has to be Carmelo. From the All Star appearences to the scoring title in I forget what year, while being from New York, he was the only one really close to Harvey in that period.
