I was at that 16-7 game. Thought the game was over in the 4th inning and even if we lost it was nice to see David homer in his first AB back. I remember Yo' hitting the last one lol
It's Crazy because in 1986 my dad said he had a present for me and it was the 1986 world series game I was so happy we sat not to far from Mets Dugout when the Mets won the World Series It was the happiest day of my life to get to go to a game with my dad he Drove Taxi's day and night to get those tickets last thing I said to my dad before he past away in 88 was Met for Life I haven't been to another game since I watch from Home I am 50+ years old and There will never be Another team for me MFL! Thanks Met's.

I’m from Louisiana and taking a trip to New York for the first time this may. I’m going to go see the Mets play for my first mlb game while I’m there. Super excited

Two of the best days of my life. I also went to Game 5 of the 2015 WS, but we don’t talk about that.
Game 1 of that 88 series I saw that game live. My father let me watch the game in his master bedroom. The series was promising after that incalculable win but we know the rest. Mets were finished after that 88 series for a very long time. And we are still recovering. I'm not even counting the Piazza and David Wright teams because they were never really expected to win and dominate but those Strawberry teams could hurt you from both sides of the ball! Nothing was going to be expected less then a world series win and that we did! RIP Carter "Kid" Ralph Kiner Bob Murphy and George Thomas Seaver! LGM 2022!
Most of these clips were from various years 2015-2019. The made the playoffs in 2015-2016. 2017-2018 were dud years. 2019 they would’ve easily won the eastern division had Diaz not blown so many games

Game 6 in 1986 will haunt me for the rest of my life! Earlier in the year, I had a horrendous motor accident, which almost took my life. I was mostly revovered by the World Series. But game 6 looked bad for my Mets, and I turned the game off, just so I could not see them lose. I went to bed, feeling the better team lost. But later that night, I was woken up! It was my mom, who literally kicked me to wake up! I looked up and saw the goofy face she had on. I said.....no way the Mets didn't win that game..... She told me yes, they did win....and if you saw it, you would never believe it!!! I am glad that I never saw it because I would have surely had a heart attack!!! It was just like in 1990, when Scott Norwood missed his field goal wide left for the New York Giants to win the Super Bowl!
