At least 2 killed in central New Mexico wildfires, federal emergency declared

A federal emergency has been declared in central New Mexico as deadly wildfires burn around 1,400 structures. Now, heavy storms have caused flash flooding, adding water rescues to the emergency response.

First it's "Smokey Bear" not Smokey THE Bear. Secondly, he's actually buried in that area. He's buried in Capitan, New Mexico.

Jesus. It's the same thing every summer. Western states like California, nothing new there, And other Western states subjected to wildfires, what's the point of living in these areas? And what can be done to combat this? My prayers to the families of the 2 victims.
