The look you gave when she went on about fire 😂 a year is probably what you need to mentally recover. Seriously though, your hair is gorgeous. Hope you feel better soon. 💜
Looking fabulous Miss Amanda and get better soon , a remidy that has worked for my family in generations , boil some ginger , anise , cinamen , clove, and a naturally flavored tea of your choice , I like lady/ earl grey or an orangey tea and if you already have a tea of that type even better
Hi Seesters! I just wantd to say a huge thank you for helping me "reconnect" with my curly hair. I was going through a severe "I hate my curls" stage and was almost going to get a keratin treatment to straighten my hair...then I discovered your videos! Now I know how to wash, prep, style and seal my hair properly, why I was getting more frizz than form, and so many other useful tips. Plus, I love the dynamics between you both (reminds me of my seester and me - I'm like Amanda - a bit more chill and serious - and she's like Mel - a little cray cray in a good way.) After straightening my hair for 20 years while I lived in Japan, covid "forced" me to embrace my natural hair again, and your videos have helped me love them again. Thanks so much! Texture Tuesday is now one of the higlights of my You Tube feed :)
I did k18 for 6 washes back in June and then once a week every since…I absolutely love it. I was using olaplex for years and for me I feel k18 worked better for my hair. I don’t dye but have residual damage from bad products in 2019 I’m still trying to heal the ends with and also everyday wear and tear damage….k18 is fantastic!
How is your whole family gorgeous? You're so good at explaining and teaching in details! Her cut is amazing! Can you do a detailed cut on how you did her hair so I can take it to someone to do it for me? I looove it!
You know, I have been highlighting my own hair in this same style (as well as only using a lvl 20 developer) for about 20 yrs. I have been told so many times this is not how you should highlight hair, that you need foils, you need the heat, but then told that my hair looks great, by stylists. I never stopped doing it this way, because I liked the results. NIce to know the hair stylists community finally caught up.. TWENTY YEARS LATER. Sigh....
i would love to see an updated curly to straight or straight back to curly tutorial on Amanda so we can see what her new highlights look like on straight hair!
I've been using the K18 mask for years now and it has saved my hair after some questionable bleach sessions. Still trying to convince my stylist to by the professional versions.
I kept looking at the back of Mell's hairstyle in the reflection of the shower door and it is absolutely gorgeous! I'd love to see a tutorial on how to create that look!
Every time I watch a seester transformation video I want to dye my hair! Btw I recently bought the tangle teezer detangling brush and the ah hair cream and they’re FANTASTIC
I just started using K18! What a timely video. ☺️ So far I have two wash days in with the product (just the at home leave in) and it may be too soon to tell, but I do feel like my coils are springy-er! Since I only wash once a week it will take me a bit to see the final results of using it. Im still excited to see what will happen!
Same here, just did my 2nd treatment yesterday! The at home version is the same formulation as the salon version so you know, the pros just get a bigger bottle and a better price 🤓
I just saw your old hair journey video and am obsessed with that first haircut you gave yourself all those years ago! Especially the first photo. Please make a tutorial it looks so cute!
i did this on my hair myslef. with bleach and i lifted to the exact shade of brown i wanted. subtle but there. and mind you i got rlly dark hair but a toner wasnt needed. i got the perfect shade. but what i may do if i want them redder is go in with a red toner. but the brown on black base is giving
Happy Texture Tuesday!! Love how Amanda's hair came out!! I've also been dying to try k18!! Guess I'll be buying it now!! Much love and happiness!! Xoxo!! 😘
Yes! The one I’ve been waiting for. I’ve been holding onto bleach and shades eq stuff wondering if I should or not. I think I willl give it a try after seeing this! Love it.
I LOVE AMANDA VIDEOS ❤️❤️❤️❤️ she has a very close hair to mine so I'm glad Mell allows us to see her amazing skills on both short and long hair ❣️ thanksss 💕💕💕
Perfect timing, I've been debating trying to highlight my own hair for a while. Looks great, would love to see how it looks on straight hair. My hair is loose wavy, so I'm not sure which method would be best for me.
Can you share the toner shades you used? Btw, when you did her hair for the wedding I screen shot so I could show my stylist because Amanda’s hair was gorgeous. It was color goals for us brunettes!! Thanks.
K18 and Olaplex have a place in a hair care regime since they benefit the hair in different ways. I just started using K18, so I’ll see how it goes. I also still use Olaplex.
Looking FABOLOUS like always happy texture tuesday everyone, lovd ya seesters , these color videos have been extra interesting for me recently since i plan to get color for the first time February next year so i’ve been researching a lot , unfortunately I don’t have a curl specialist accesible to me but I did manage to get an appointment with a good reputable stylist but im not sure if they know how to color curls so i Might be sharing last year’s video as inspo for what i want or even this one
I love your headband Mell.... You and Amanda have beautiful curls... I want my curly hair to be beautiful again..... Amanda's hair turned out georgous... I love how my gray/ silver hair looks on me and I am loving it.... I can't wait to see those videos 😊😊😊❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
If you use the mist, you’d want to use a generous amount prior to any chemical service. And the mask is what you’d want to use less of because a little goes a long way. The results from this treatment are also permanent and do not wash out like Olaplex and other bond builders/ conditioning treatments. Hope that helps :)
Mel, can you and your seester make a video explaining how to refresh your curls on non-wash days?😊I’m trying to start embracing my curls! Luv ur videos! 💜
Omg stop... Mel you look freakin' ADORABLE!! Your hair with its sweet little fly away beebopper CURLS bouncing around your face... SO CUTE!! (love the top and hair style /band combo... AH!!) 🥰
Hey Mell and Amanda! Thanks for the great videos we appreciate the hard work you put into them❤️. I was wondering though if there is a difference (from damage perspective) between getting your whole head bleached blonde vs blonde highlights when having curly hair? I know that there are a lot of other factors like how light im going, before and after care, products...etc. lets say that everything is the same and were starting with a healthy curly hair(not virgin)
Can you get an icy blonde highlight with the pintura technique? Or would they look too chunky? I had them done before and I felt they were too warm toned for my skin tone. Amanda’s hair looks amazing!! 😍
Depends on your Natural starting level, if your natural hair is level 6 or darker it can look Chunky due to the difference in tones. Icy blond results are best achieved using foils in Natural darker levels.
Bought it and will try it. Maybe the most visible results are on straight and very damaged hair..for my curly hair I hope it will tame frizz on top of the head and make it little less dry.
Pintura in Portuguese means painting, so I don't find it a fancy name. It's a pretty straight forward meaning because you are painting some strands of hair for the desire effect.
I'm also curlier on my right! Especially as the days go on after wash day ... The left side starts to fall while the right tightens up sometimes. It makes my length look uneven by day 5 sometimes
Another wonderful video! I was wondering if you could review the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus line. It is what I’m currently using and I would love your informational advice because I see that it might be to heavy to my finer, thinner curly hair as I’m trying to get it more voluminous. Ty! (I’ve also heard ab Herbal Essence but I know nothing ab that 😩)
Can you post of video your hair comes out lighter than you wanted it to be? Went to a hairdresser, expensive, and didn’t come out like I wanted 😭. Tips, tricks, toner?
You seesters are so beautiful and fun to watch. Going to ask my stylist if she can do this for me and share this video with her. Thank you so much! BTW, my hair LOVES the K18. I still condition before I use it even though it says not to. I’m such a rebel. :)
@@aleksandralempart8305 I'm going to try it as directed again but put a leave in conditioner on after. My hair was WAY too dry without conditioner, but the K18 was still effective. I'm sure it will be more so this way :)
I love her hair. Will this work with henna? I've started to miss my natural strawberry blonde hair color (I didn't do anything, it just faded over the years), and I'm thinking of using henna to bring it back.
The curl smith and k18 are proteïne treatments. Olaplex not, but they all say bond repair… K18 has a “special” proteine patenten, curl smith uses regular proteines.
I love your videos! I wish that I could find someone in my area that would do Pintura on my curls. They tell me that they offer the service but in the end do foil highlights every time. Maybe because I have fine, thinner curls? Would love your professional opinion!!
I have a medium length curly hair that is very much like Amanda’s.. I have gotten purple and blue highlights before and I get them once every year.. any tips on what products to use that won’t strip color but maintain the curls? I can also never know what to tel the hairstylist about what haircut I want lol… would love to know your professional thoughts… also I love your videos!!!
Let’s try a reframe: Hi @Amanda__Guido, you look great all the time, with or without makeup! I hope you continue living your life however you want and do what you think is best!
I would kill to have a sister that can cut and dye my hair so beautifully like this. Amanda is blessed! Love the transformation :)
I love when u do my hair once a year❤️

The color is gorgeous and very flattering with your skin tone.
Beautiful 😍 hair and lady
How are you liking the K18??
As a hairdresser and curl owner myself, this was very educational and awesome. Love love love Curly color education. Subscribed.
4:18 the moment Amanda, again, questions Mell’s sanity & this life choice. 😂 This was so fun to learn about. Hope you’re feeling better soon, Amanda.

😆 Amanda face when Mel was mixing it up….too Cute!! Love ya both!!! ☺️🙌🏼❤️🙏🏽
She had no idea what I was going and was scared the whole time LOL
Lolol 😆 She will learn to trust the process some day…☺️ Her hair comes out Fabulous every time you do your Magic 🤗🪄❤️
This looks so good. Love my weekly seester fix. Amanda looks a little scared, and Mell just charges in.
How is your whole family gorgeous? You're so good at explaining and teaching in details! Her cut is amazing! Can you do a detailed cut on how you did her hair so I can take it to someone to do it for me? I looove it!
Two videos in one week! We are blessed ❤❤
Happy texture tuesday everyone 🎉🎉✨
Wow I can't get over how gorgeous Amanda's hair looks!!
Happy Texture Tuesday to my favourite seesters! Love how Amanda's hair turned out!! Can't wait to watch the genius at work ❤️❤️
Love ya Lynz!! Thanks for watching ❤️❤️
Her hair came out amazing!! I’m going to send this video to my friend/hair stylist see if she try’s this method on me.

I just booked my first highlights today! This video is so useful, I might ask them to do pintura instead of foils. Love your videos :)
Can't choose Amandas hair just looks amazing no matter what. Warmth is equally pretty.
That's a Pride and Prejudice worthy updo Mel 😍
Love texture Tuesday's and love seester videos! Your hair looks fabulous and healthy, I hope that my hair lady knows how to do this!
I kept looking at the back of Mell's hairstyle in the reflection of the shower door and it is absolutely gorgeous! I'd love to see a tutorial on how to create that look!

Which cream?
Love this video! Would you be able to do a video on how to do pintura highlights on yourself from home? 💛

LOVE THIS VIDEO! Please can you make a video where you do pintura highlights on yourself? Please and thank you! ❤️
Omg you both are gorgeous 💞 Amanda is a lucky girl having a sis that keeps her curls on fleek 😍😍

Love this transformation!! Also wish I had a stylist seester to do my hair 😊🙃
Love you guys! Your relationship literally reminds me of mine and my sister’s relationship. 😂
It's so good to see Mell doing her thang! You belong behind the chair lady! Such a pro! Amanda's hair looks great! Love it!❤❤
I LOVE AMANDA VIDEOS ❤️❤️❤️❤️ she has a very close hair to mine so I'm glad Mell allows us to see her amazing skills on both short and long hair ❣️ thanksss 💕💕💕
Omg I just did color very similar to this! Amanda’s hair has always been my inspiration🤩🤩
Amanda looks amazing!!! I love how you had your hair today too!! Love you two!
Could you please tell us which colors did you use as a toner?
Perfect timing, I've been debating trying to highlight my own hair for a while. Looks great, would love to see how it looks on straight hair. My hair is loose wavy, so I'm not sure which method would be best for me.
curls are absolutely stunning and love love the color!!!!

I'd love to know the toner used as well.
I am always in awe of Amanda's hair. I know we should not covet but .... my goodness!
Wow What color is the toner? beautiful!
Looks lovely, Amanda! My left side of hair is thinner and looser than my right side as well...
That is such a beautiful color!!! So vibrant 😍

Looks great! Can you share what you used for toner please? I love Amanda's color! Awesome job :)
Seesters you did it again! I love this video! Very educational and Amanda's hair is looking gorgeous 👏🏻🤩.

Oh, I saw Amanda's freshly colored hair on holidays gifts video 🤣🤣💖💖 I was a little bit sad, that it went past the camera :) now I'm happy, thanks😍😍😘😘

Great video. I cracked with Amanda's face expressions when you were talking about the oxidizer. 🤣🤣🥰🥰
Omg Amanda’s is gorgeous!!
What was your toner formula?
I’m obsessed.
Always love your videos. So much cool information! ❤️❤️
Pintura in Portuguese means painting, so I don't find it a fancy name. It's a pretty straight forward meaning because you are painting some strands of hair for the desire effect.
Italian and Spanish too.

Mell where is your gorgeous headband from in the very beginning of the video??
Wow does Amanda have incredibly beautiful hair. The masked side looks flatter though. Maybe that’s just the camera angle? Gorgeous though.
Absolutely beautiful ❤️
It's the way Amanda was looking at Mel when she was mixing the lightner. She was looking at her like she has already lost her mind. 🤣😂🤣😂
Love watching you work your magic Mell ❤ wish you could do my hairs.
For those of us who are wavy or blow out our hair sometimes, how does pintura look straightened?
Stay tuned to see 😍
Good question. Also what does it look like in a ponytail.
What toner was used for this look!? And how long was the lightener in?
I wanna know too!
Ditto, curious to know what toner was used !
I love these videos so much. They make me miss my sister!!! I wish I could see her more often, and have her do my hair lol!
Amazing haircut, better seester :)
I am the 1st to like the video, love you seesters

I love this look! I'm too chicken to dye my hair though. The "curl specialist" I saw to cut my hair messed it up.
You seesters are so beautiful and fun to watch. Going to ask my stylist if she can do this for me and share this video with her. Thank you so much! BTW, my hair LOVES the K18. I still condition before I use it even though it says not to. I’m such a rebel. :)

Mel you look amazing love the hairstyle t
Her hair looks great. How did it take 6 hours? Wouldn't the bleach make her hair go white in that time?
Lovvveeee!!!!! Mel can you please do a video of you cutting Amanda’s hair please?
Love Texture tuesday!! 💖
Love your hair amanda! Is the k18 an alternative to the curlsmith bond salve or olaplex 3?

I love your videos! I wish that I could find someone in my area that would do Pintura on my curls. They tell me that they offer the service but in the end do foil highlights every time. Maybe because I have fine, thinner curls? Would love your professional opinion!!

It looks great red. Not sure.if I like the blonde highlights better. Either way.
Hi,Amanda you look so much better without makeup and way much younger!!!🥰
You should try go without makeup a few times....😊
The colour looks nice!!👌🏻
