That was the most simplest easiest and well thought out video about a gun. Very helpful. Perfectly descriptive in five minutes long thank you.

There should be more TH-cam review on this firearm. I love this firearm.

FN owes you, because I've changed my mind to wanting to purchase this pistol. Even on their website, they fail to mention that FN 509 sights will work on this gun. The blacked out sights were a deal killer for me. You are the first person I've heard mention sight compatibility. Thank you!

Just bought one this week, put about 300 rounds through right away before I took it home. Really really soft shooter, really really good looking. Good single action trigger, I’d say between a 1911 and sig single action which is pretty good being a pivoting trigger. IT IS NOT A HIGH POWER, and it wasn’t meant to be, and I’m fine with that. It ran totally reliable, which is what I expected. Only two “gripes” for lack of a better word. One, it’s heavy, really heavy, which has its merits, but maybe not so much as a carry gun. Two, the casting on the frame is a little crude, wish they would have smoothed it out before finishing it but it’s a solid piece. If you’re looking for a browning high power this is not the gun for you. If you’re looking for a high quality soft shooting reliable piece with a light nod to its origins you won’t be disappointed.

One in stainless steel would be my pick. Great quality firearm.

The magazine disconnect was a hold over from the original requirement by the French for their military trials of the 1930's, but the French never adopted the pistol. It also made the trigger feel squishy and rough, not to mention a magazine disconnect is just one more thing to malfunction. To be safe, you should NEVER trust safeties of any kind.

Just bought one on July 5th, the gun shoot extremely well, the hand grip is great n feels natural especially I’ve got smaller hands. I paid $1100, but disappointed regarding the Quality Control. Already shot 200 rds, first: one of the magazines follower broke down on my second trip to the shooting range n the slide wasn’t locking on the last rd but the magazine kept working, second: the second set grip brown color came both sides for the right side, apparently the guy who was stocking the box wasn’t paying attention, third: I already had scratch on the slide n I believe the coating should have been better, contacted FN Customer Service n they were awesome by emailing n taking care of the grips n requested to send back the two mags came with the handgun for inspection n they send me three mags instead, still waiting to respond regarding the scratch and I believe the coating was done poorly n possibly poor material, fourth: the guide rod is made from plastic not metal too. It’s my first FN to own, I love the gun n I understand these are minor issues but for the price FN can do better.

@@Gamenofun regarding the grips, the new FN has different design n comes with one screw on the side, there’re not any grips available yet on the FN Estore too, regarding the external ejector, it comes loose little bit up/down n right/left , when I spoke with FN Customer Service, he said,” it is manufactured like that because it is pined in not glued like 1911 n so far it’s working fine after I shot 200 rds, didn’t feel it’s worse just the same.

@@Gamenofun I bought the FN 509 Trijicon night iron sights too and should get them tomorrow, I believe that will be a great upgrade too but FN should have done better job putting night sights ready out of the box like others big companies doing these days.
I love the simplicity of taking down the new FN high power not like the 1911 n that’s one of the positives

If they were trying to update the gun for more modern standards then why not put a pic rail on the frame and maybe also make it optics ready. I'll buy the new High Power once FN at least put rails on it. To me without a pic rail, it's just a $1,200 range toy.

There are so many things wrong about this gun, it's embarrasing.
