How did you get on? Thanks for watching! I haven't done much recently but fitted some heated grips last night on a friends bike so will upload that, also fitted a complete exhaust system on a friends bike so just in the middle of editing that! Thanks again!
Really appreciate the vid! Just changed out my plugs with the help of this vid, along with completely removing the intake flapper as well as deleting the PAIR valves and covering em up with block off plates. Why does it seem like there's such few installation vids for SC57 bikes? There's thousands for the 600s!
Just did all this (and more) as I have a slightly damp valve cover so need to replace the gasket, that lower airbox panel needed to come right out to get the valve cover off, it only just squeezed out from the front right hand side, honestly thought the forks were gonna have to come off !!! Proper shit design if you ask me, ah well, at least it's November and I can take my time, got a few other jobs to sort out while it's in bits.. cheers.

Great video. However, your spark plugs, particularly the second, looks like if it has engine oil on it. I have a very similar situation on two of my cylinders while the other two are completely dry and tidy. First I was thinking of ripping my engine apart to change valve stem seals, or worse look for piston/rings/cylinder issues. However, after seeing a number of Fireblade spark plug change videos with oily spark plugs this seems to be such common issue that I start to wonder if these high reeving engines always will have a certain amount of valve stem seal leak? Have you ever had any performance issues or indicators of oil leak problems?
Yeah man. Old plugs look good (colour wise) gap is out though, but as expected. I'd leave the factory gap as it'll increase over time. Bike sounds like it's over fuelling to me
Nice one mate. Left the gap as it was for that reason, same wave length there 👍 Yeah, it is over fuelling a bit, needs a dyno set up. Cheers for the comment mate appreciate it. Ideal.
Damn!! I had no clue that it was going to be this big of a pain in the ass to do something as simple as change the damn plugs.... I was thinking it would be a quick, easy, in-and-out job... This is going to suck. Wish me luck, that I don't lose any of those 900 bolts... please!
I just got new fairings for my 2004 Cbr I got everything on but I’m stuck with the side fairings there 2 black rubber ish plastic bits that I can not figure out where they go can someone please help me
2005.. they may have decided to build the frame with spark plug servicing in mind in later years 😂 Go for it anyway, grab a beer and a manual and crack on ;-)
Check the connector BEHIND the guague cluster.. it may be lose. Otherwise check the clutch swith on the handlebar... and then there is a wire that goes to the NSS in front of the kick stand.. it may be lose

The best video about changing spark plugs. I have CBR1000RR 2007 and changing spark plugs is same horor.
Thank you very much, very helpful going through the same pain myself 😂
How did you get on?

My thoughts exactly Dylan. Thanks for the comment. I'm glad it helped you out. 👍⚙️🔧
I followed this video yesterday and it worked out perfect, even without the Perlenbacher👍😂,thanks
Ha Ha that's mint, thanks for the comment dude.
The spark plug tool in the stock under seat toolkit makes access a lot easier to plug no.1.
Thank you. Your video helped me 😊
Well done m8
Will change my plugs now instead of being lazy and taking it to dealer !!
Cheers Alun. Glad you enjoyed it. Take your time you will be grand ⚙️🔧🏚️🔥
Great vid, changed mine yesterday with the help of this
Thanks Aaron. I haven't posted in a while but more to follow soon!

Cant thank you enough for posting this. So helpful, again thank you and safe roads.
Awesome Paul, no problem at all glad you enjoyed it
Brother there is no need to disasemble all this stuff. Just remove the radiator bolts and it is easy to access the plugs.
Don't be silly.
Really useful video, thanks for posting
No problem, and thanks for watching!

Go for it. It's the worst model for the job. Take your time and pour a beer or two.. ha ha. Enjoy.
@@ShedTorque46 should I do anything else while having it all apart? (Velocity stacks, or ???
I didn't, but if you have a new set go for it. Being as though it's all apart. I took all mine apart and just give it all a damn good cleaning.
I just got new fairings for my 2004 Cbr I got everything on but I’m stuck with the side fairings there 2 black rubber ish plastic bits that I can not figure out where they go can someone please help me
Sure they are not the centre pieces that go behind the front wheel?
Please tell me witch socket size for spark plug
Thx
Thanks....looked so long for a Vid
No problem at all. Haven't done a video for a while been so busy. New videos on the way though. 🔧⚙️
Gros boulot, merci.
What year is this bike? I have a 2014 cbr1000rr SP was wondering if mine will be this difficult? Thanks!

How did those spark plugs work for you? They have them local but they aren't owm which i have to order thinking about using these instead
Absolutely fine. Noticeable improvement for me.
Are the plugs 16mm? Going into this battle tomorrow and have to borrow some tools...
Hey mate, yes standard mate. How did you get on? Thanks for watching.
Resorted to violence and cried a little 😄 With the help from you it was eventually pulled off. Those coils gave me a good workout though…
Cheers 🍺
@@Skidaddle_36 awesome, well done
Any video on the neutral safety switch ?
Sorry. That bike has gone now. Im trying the cb1000r - you having issues?
@@ShedTorque46 Yeah Neutral light goes out sometimes can't find it to troubleshoot it thanks for the reply

And a German beer 😅👌
What was the music about, very annoying a lot better with the commentary, but still a good video, I'm going to give it a go.
Sorry George. I love a bit of music ha ha. Let me know how you get on.
@@ShedTorque46 I will, a lot of work to change spark plugs.
