I’m looking at both the MBZ EQE and the BMW i5. Tough decision to make. 🙂 Your review is so British! What I mean by that (as an Indian living in the US for a very long time) is that it’s the typical stiff upper lip commentary. Very good, informative commentary. 👍 I should add that I am absolutely pissed off with Tesla and their donkey of a CEO. Bad interior and exterior quality aside, their service sucks, their suspensions are harsh (3 and Y), and their FSD is forever ‘beta’. They are a joke. I should know, I have had two, one since 2013 and the other since 2018.
The video is professional enough. Great video. Hope to see more from you about the car. I drive an EQC and although I like the car the warranty ends next year (5year warranty). Maybe the EQE is a worthy choice. Thanks again
Looks great Darren. Best of luck with it. If you still have the Tesla mattress and whatever else you mentioned to me in Chris's chat, I'll be interested. Let me know if you still have it.
Thanks Marty. I do still have the mattress although it’s not Tesla specific. I also have the Tesmat privacy screen and 2 sets of floor mats along with 1 or 2 other bits
@@thelifeofbatteries2603 I like the charge breaks. And since I am only fast charging when on vacation and not for work, it is probably good for me to be taking a break. But if you are driving a lot for work you probably want to get it done as quickly as possible
Lovely, thank you for this video! Will receive mine in a few weeks, and this eases the wait :D Any tips / advice further on your EQE would be great :D You mentioned the 22KW charging is extra charge? Is that just to get the level 2 charger (self purchase) Or unlock to actually charge at that speed?
What a nice video and what a nice looking car. I consider Mercedes to be one of the most innovative brands on the market. If Tesla is number one, Mercedes comes very close behind. Interior-wise, I think Mercedes beats Tesla on all fronts. There are many Tesla owners who like the minimalist style of the M3 and Y so what made you "advance" all the way to Mercedes? I think it was a very good choice.
Thank you, much appreciated. I was starting to get bored with Tesla having had them for 3.5 years and when this car came up at a very good price i jumped ship. I've had several Mercedes over the years and was driving an SL before going EV, none have given me any trouble.
Wondering as well, which steering wheel is now being used for the EQE... Reviews online show different steering wheels. Dealer was vague as well...for example here: th-cam.com/video/TLUChLzmpm0/w-d-xo.html
@@thelifeofbatteries2603 Aha that explains it! Got the AMG line, but the 3rd highest package. Should've taken the exclusive luxury one then... damn. Ah well, picking it up tomorrow! Thanks!
Great to have the owners view of ownership. Informative and helpful video, thanks. Be great to see a night time lighting vid when you have time.
Thank you very much for this review. I learned a lot from it. Even though I’m thinking of the EQE SUV but seeing your review was very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice review. I also wouldn’t buy a premium car without parking sensors.
Great walk-through. Thank you!

which one did you choose? and how happy are you with your choice?
@@bavariancarenthusiast2722 I’m choosing the BMW i5 next year. Once they come out with the native NACS charge port.

I no longer own the EQE, thanks for watching
Nice walk through 👍
Nicely presented.
Can i get a one year update video? How many miles driven. How's the reliability?
Looks great Darren.

Very nice! Should be a breeze to go on vacation in that and when the buffer at top, I bet it will charge very nicely at the top.
Thank you. I’m hoping it will keep up a high rate of charge late into the pack. M3 is still the efficiency king though.

Or unlock to actually charge at that speed?
I think it’s probably just an unlock to increase the AC charge rate from 11kw. The wall charger is extra again.
@@thelifeofbatteries2603 Yea thats a bit silly... but good to know! Thank you!

no blinds for windows ?
Did the car come with tinted windows? If so, under which trim and option? Thank you
They’re standard across the range but this is AMG Line
option for low option trim. unless if you choose higher range.
@@tjkimdepends on country. In UK they’re standard

Depends if you order AMG line or exclusive luxury. Different wheels for these trim levels

More like EQ GLE !
Seriously the front exterior is exactly copy of previous model of Honda HR-V
