Schampoo open the hair and conditioner close it. Depending on your hair type, only using schampoo will probably dry your hair. If you have wavy or curly hair you will need a lot of moisture. You could also use a 2 in 1 product instead that has both schampoo and conditioner. Why do your mom say you don't need it? Basically every hair expert and hair dressers would think otherwise.
In my experience, not using conditioner actually made my hair dry, tangled and harder to brush (I’ve straight hair). You can still try tho to see if it works for you and your hair type.
just shut up, they were asking the products. not if they were conditioner etc they were asking what conditioner and shampoo they were using@@juggerswood
I just bought shampoo from Prose and their instructions says to wash scalp and lengths. I emailed and asked them to confirm and they said yes, their shampoo is made to do both. I wonder why this is. Also, I think this will help me as my hair always looks greasy these days since I learned to do it this way. My scalp is dry and itchy and the rest of my hair always a bit greasy. I wonder too if it's because I have a lot of hair. I'm going to try their way and see if it helps, I might not have to wash my hair that often too.
In the first tip you mention brushing wet hair causes breakage but what about curly hair? We can’t brush our hair unless it’s wet? What are we supposed to do??
I uh- i was using conditioner for my scalp and rubbing it in, then shampoo for mid to ends 😬😓😭 i dont know what i was thinking. Thank god i found this video 😭
Its probably best not to if your hair is really short since it can clog your pores in scalp. If its a little bit longer: ring out all the water and put a tiny bit of conditioner so it doesn't weigh down your hair, then rinse with cold water :)
You probably already know the answer since that was 2 months ago, but oil comes from the scalp, so it's really not needed on the ends as it would take a long time for the oil to travel down that far. The ends usually get dry from lack of oil, which is why you need to condition them, and shampooing the ends will dry them out which in turn will cause you to need to use more conditioner. Hope that helps lol
@@craze104 I was arguing with my mum about this earlier, she was convinced that I should shampoo all of my hair, including my ends, because otherwise my hair wont be clean. I told her that I shouldn't shampoo my ends and that I haven't been, because if I did my hair would become dry. She continued to argue with me about this for the rest of the day.
@@EvieRockRoll Well she's wrong LMAO. If I shampooed all my hair, I would look like an 80's rockstar with frizzy dry hair. Ever since I stopped doing that my hair has been the best it's ever been. I mean, it's hard for hair to actually become "dirty" unless you work outside in mud all day or whatever, so putting shampoo on all of your hair is overly excessive lol
@@RainbowSloth373 I've long hair , n I oil them . If I don't use shampoo at the ends the oil won't come out, so can i as well use the shampoo at end of leave the oil.

Learning how to take care of my long hair since I started to REALLY grow it out, thank you TH-cam!
A little conditioner on top of the head (not on scalp) is okay if you have really thick hair
Or curls
Yeah
Yay i was afraid it would ruin my really thick hair lol
This helps a lot because I have thick hair
Same❤
Me too I need to use 4 hair clips to keep them up :(
@@hewantsSveti wish I had your problem

Same 💗, all my friends wear claw clips and no sizes work for my hair even extra extra large 😢
Thank you ma’am! ❤
Thanks, I really needed this cuz I suck at washing my own hair
Thank you, so helpful
Is it ok if u dont use conditioner and only use shampoo? My mom always says these extra stuff arent needed so i dont need it

Shampoo is pretty harsh and drying for your hair if you dont use conditioner. Conditioner softens and moisturizes your hair
What are the products used in the video? Thanks
Necessaire shampoo and conditioner
Shampoo and Conditioner. Did you just blow in from stupid town?

What happen if you use conditioner then you put it into 2 quarters but your hair is very long

Can you clarify why we shouldnt lather the ends?
Wait does the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner work?
Thanks, I just took it today

if you have curly hair you have to brush it when it’s wet
What does the conditioner do to your scalp?
A quarter size amount is way to much for me with my short hair
What if it’s a 2in 1 shampoo and conditioner in one bottle.
AHH I THOUGH IT WAS THE OTHER WAY AROUND! Conditioner on the scalp and shampoo on the ends! 😭
I uh- i was using conditioner for my scalp and rubbing it in, then shampoo for mid to ends 😬😓😭 i dont know what i was thinking. Thank god i found this video 😭
Some of this doesn’t apply for curly hair
What's a quater size amount?
Cuz no way american wuaters are that big
Do you have any tips on how to condition if you're a guy with short hair
for a guy, I wouldn’t necessarily use conditioner.

If not shampooing mid ends then how the oil will reduce on the hair. Because I have long hair....

@@EvieRockRoll Let her know that the mids and ends dont make oil, so the only amount of shampoo they'll need is the shampoo that rinses out
But how will those finer reach every part of your scalp
You need to use your fingers, go through your hair making sure you got it in most places
what if you dont have conditinar
The reason that you don’t want to condition ur scalp is bc you can clog pores
What if it’s short like shoulder length short it’s my first time with short hair but I feel like I’m not washing it properly
i detangle my hair before but by the time i get into the shower (in 1 minute) it gets tangled again
Is it okay to put shampoo at my ends? Because It gets dirty and I have lice
Ofc but don’t use too much and always use conditioner after
