Another great camp Rob , you are glutton for winter cold camps 🥶 it looked bloody cold in the morning tho brrrr …. Roll on spring with the longer days and shorter nights atb Dave ⛺️👍
I’m loving the set up I’ve got for the winter camps but your spot on, I can’t wait for the days when I’m no leaving at 10am to get to a camp just before the sunset. Twice now I’ve missed a summit camp cause I run out of daylight. I’d say it’s warmer too but I dunno, I remember wearing my down gear in July last year 😂
Wish I had a clear summit, the view is amazing from it but the forecast was less than 20% clear summits so when I seen that spot at 800m I figured I’d play it safe so we had a view. By the time we hit the plateau it was blowing a hooly too so glad we didn’t risk any higher. Cheers for giving it a watch 😊. Hopefully your trip goes well. Some decent forecast on the cards this week ahead
Nice one Robert, it looked a good spot for a camp👍⛺️ pity you didn’t get views at the summit as there fantastic. Congrats on reaching 50 munros.👏👏👍 ATB Frank
Had my head into getting a summit camp but the deep snow started to slow us down then I seen that flat bit of snow and took it. It’s definitely gonna be a repeat Munro as I know the views will be worth it. Thank you frank, all the best to you too. 😊👍
Nice video mate. I love that path for running. And I love the views up the top shame it was clagged in. Nice set of hills. I deliberately left them for the end for the last cairn gorm ones :). I wanted to camp uo there too in winter conditions. Nice tent too :) reds my colour haha its the best yaaaa. Looked cold and i liked your pillow. I lvoe the fire, never done it myself as couldn't be arsed but wsnt to. Lol. Infact lies did do it up sulvien but not in winter. Have a little tip ya. Use normal pegs next time in those softer snow conditions. Snow pegs are not designed for going into the ground. But come in handy for beach camps :). Next time move the snow away and then put the normal pegs in if the snows soft. The Snow pegs are for hard pack deep snow. Using them in those conditions it's a struggle getting them into the ground as they arnt designed for it. Specially hard ground. Unless it's soft ground. It's a struggle putting them snow pegs into hard ground. Id have just dig the snow out and used a normal peg
Thanks for the tip. 👍 the wind was forecast to be pretty strong so wasn’t wanted to take the chance with 6 inch pegs though. The snow was dense enough to take the bigger pegs. Had no issue with them Enjoyed that hike, just wish we had got some views to see in the morning.
That was a relaxing watch Rob, great music choices and and a chilled vibe. Liked your keyframing too. You’ve done some great camps recently. Congrats on the 50 munros. 👍🏻🙂🏕️
Cheers gav. Was up and down so much with the music choices on this one. Hopefully there’s another one or two winter camps in there before we turn to spring. All the best, thank you for watching, look forward to seeing you out soon 👌😊👍
This is great tent. Thank you for sharing experience with us. Tel me what about Simond Makalu T2 why? Did you have Ferino Pilier 2? Its a very similar tent to Ferino Pilier 2.
Nice one👍🏴🏕👌
Cheers Colin 😊
This video captures the essence of mountain camping perfectly! Makes me want to pack my bags and head to the nearest peak. Well done!
Hope you do bud! Get yourself out there 😊
Congratulations on the 50th Munro. Fantastic and enjoyable achievement.
Thank you 🙏. I’d had done a lot more by now if I didn’t stay so far away but still chuffed to hit that

Looked stunning up there Robert. Pretty bleak on the summit and didn’t look like there were many pitching options. Nice one and ATB 👍

I fancied a tent that was different to others I see online. Wanted one that stood out.
Less talking more walking
Cheers 🥂
