I vaguely remember reading that Parvati was originally slated to be on the Heroes tribe, and Candice was originally a Villain, but the producers flipped them towards the last minute.
To be honest I think it comes down to looks. Parvati’s eyes are much sharper and her face is much more textbook villain whereas Amanda and Cirie have much softer faces which make them more likable. It’s a subconscious thing. Plus Parvati won Micronesia so she took a lot of credit for the dirty work.

In some ways Amanda is actually more ruthless than Parvati if you compare Cook Islands to China. The thing is Parvati in Micronesia sort of wanted to be seen as a villain like Russel in Samoa. The both talk a lot of trash and go on their villain monologues. Amanda and Cirie don't do that. I will say Cirie does have a bad guy smile but she is pretty nice and reasonable.
Personally I understand Cirie being a hero as the inspirational “person who got off the couch” narrative that was even brought up during her last time playing in game changers. Coach’s final words are classic Coach when he gets voted out lol. Rumor is season 50 is a legends season. If a legends season happens I hope Coach, Russell, Tyson, Parvati and Boston Rob come back
In my opinion Parvati played the greatest game in the history of Survivor in HvV. No one's ever had such a huge target on their back from day 1 and still been able to overcome it, be a challenge beast and make massive, brilliant moves in the process. Feel so bad for her because there was literally nothing else she could've done. The Heroes on the jury liked Sandra because she was willing to work with them, but Parv didn't have that option.. they were targeting her from the beginning! Because of this, Parv basically HAD to be villains til the end and they kinda resented her for it.
I mean, tbh, over half of Parvati's "dumb" moments were not really her fault. Like yes, she was lacking with social connections, but it was also made very clear by almost everyone that she wasn't worth talking to or working with because they all wanted her gone from the jump. And the couple times she did try to reach out, like with Amanda, she was fed false promises and saw right through the heroes' facade and decided it wasn't worth the half-relationship she'd get out of it and simply took them out before they could take her out. So I think while Sandra definitely beat her because she flew under the radar and made good connections with the jury, Parvati was never really given that option considering at every point she was the target, even when she was immune, for crying out loud. Like, pretty much every tribal, someone had something to say about her being a threat and the favorite to win, or that she would be the one to go, so she always had to be on the defense and didn't ever have time to relax and connect with people. Because we obviously know she knows how the game works and that she learned from what Cirie did in Micronesia because she knew she couldn't beat Sandra once it came down to 4, but she also knew that she just unfortunately couldn't play that much of a social game when she was constantly being forced to strategize, but she knew that she could outplay Russell's social game and also could beat Danielle at the end, which is why I think she stuck so hard to her guns with them. Just my take on the season.

In a season with famous bad moves (e.g. Tyson voting himself out, JT giving his idol to Russell without spending any time with him first), Parvati's decision to hide her idol from Russell doesn't get talked about enough. If she doesn't do that, I really think she wins. But as soon as she played it, Russell lost trust in her for the rest of the game and started working against her. This culminated in him voting out Danielle, who was Parvati's second goat that she needed to win. She was drawing dead from the final six onward.
I think if she tells him, he doesn’t give her the heroes idol, then there’s a 50/50 they lose the numbers if they guess wrong with the idol. Also the idol play alone is probably how she gets the idols she has. Otherwise Sandra sweeps harder
Parvati being such an outcast led to her needing to align with Russell who later blew up both of their games to eliminate Danielle, I’d say her biggest mistake was not socializing better on the Villains leading to her being overly reliant on Russell Probably should’ve targeted Courtney or Sandra at the Tyson boot so that she could have some options
I heard a rumor that Parvati got inside info about Russell's gameplay. She was told that she should align with him from a friend in casting before HvV started filming. Unless it's proven I'll take Parvati's side. Unfortunately there are some things that make me believe it's possible. Like in the first episode Parvati says Russell was "telling everyone the same thing" but also said "I want the devil on my side,". It just makes you think did she really read him that well or did she have inside information? A few survivor contestants have alluded to this as well which truly could've affected why more people didn't vote for Parv in the end. It sucks because whether it's true or not, it's now in my head and taints the season for me a little. It definitely makes me kind of relieved that Sandra ended up winning though because she doesn't have any shadiness involved

Four years since Micronesia, more than enough time to review her previous seasons and how she was perceived by her fellows. More than enough time to work on an entirely new strategy (and not like she didn't have any advance notice, thank you, Yul). When a fellow Villain's confessional tags you as the equivalent of a "queen bee" or a tramp, before the merge, even, well, there is one and only one person to blame for that.
If rob only had his alliance with russel and parvati he could have had a long way on that season, he chose the wrong alliance despite being so strong. And that was what jerri did, she flipped and chose the right alliance that made her come a longer way on the competition.
Rob had a great alliance, if it wasn’t for Tyson really really wanting Parv gone, and flipping his vote. If he stuck to his the game plan, Parv and Russell would have been gone, and the final three probably would have been Rob, Sandra/Courtney, and Coach/Tyson.

They aren't sneaky enough like parv and russell to get idols just the opposite they forbid anyone from looking for them. Danielle is flipping to the hero's side and one of them villians would be voted out and it would continue. Now could rob make it to final 3 by just winning every immunity challenge? sure but he's not taking any of his alliance with him and you aren't going to win the 1 million with just immunity challenge wins. Hero's would still have there idol there's no way hero's lose the first 5 vs 5 vote (danielle flips so 6 vs 4 with an idol)

I think voting Coach out was a dumb move, if she had voted Courtney out instead, it would then have been Sandra after. Coach had no power. It probably would have been a better move for her.

Russell was the one that saved Parvati at the Villains 2nd tribal council with the idol and the manipulation of Tyson Russell was the one that got JT to give the Villains the 2nd idol by ensuring Coach left, all Parv did was play it Russell immediately found the rehidden idol at Final 9 Russell spearheaded the alliance to target Danielle at final 7 while Parvati was powerless and unable to stop him showing that she wasn’t in control Parvati really didn’t have much power in this season and she did not deserve to win
Him voting out Danielle was a straight up dumb decision, he had the best chance in a final 3 with Parvati and Danielle but after that vote it’s impossible for him to win
Your second point wasn't really Russell's doing. He didn't go after Coach because he thought JT would freak out about a girls' alliance and hand over his idol. Sandra was the mastermind behind that move, and Russell just lucked out when JT gave up his idol.

Well you should know your jury and who you are working with. Sandra understood the assignment and what she should do to win the jury’s favor and did it. Social game was key here
Parvati is another unfortunate player in my eyes. Similar to Russel, she's a great strategist, but just so happens to have a horrible, rotten personality as well. The constant manipulation and throwing away of her allies without a second thought (James comes to mind) really soured her win for me :(
Micronesia Parvati was almost a different person from Heros vs Villains Parvati. I agree with you about her and that season. The way she turns from flirt to ruthless sadistic villainess was crazy. However in Heros vs Villains she is more of a team player for the villains protecting Jerri and Danielle. It is just when you are protecting a team called the villains it seems bad but if they were called something else it would look like Parvati was heroic in that season.
I still hate watching pavarti abuse, in a sense, guys...and It being considered ok/fun/innocent ....when the guys get bashed for being guys. ..lol. Slightly disgusting now to watch it. Although I kind of enjoyed it at the time until the end

Parvati is one of the best Survivor players of all time. She wasn’t just flirty, she was conniving and manipulative.
Shes also a great strategist and similar to Michele she can read people so she is never really caught off guard by a vote.

The main two reasons why Parvati lost:
1) She didn't make the necessary connections to have the Heroes want to root for her.

I heard a rumor that Parvati got inside info about Russell's gameplay. She was told that she should align with him from a friend in casting before HvV started filming. Unless it's proven I'll take Parvati's side. Unfortunately there are some things that make me believe it's possible. Like in the first episode Parvati says Russell was "telling everyone the same thing" but also said "I want the devil on my side,". It just makes you think did she really read him that well or did she have inside information? A few survivor contestants have alluded to this as well which truly could've affected why more people didn't vote for Parv in the end.
It sucks because whether it's true or not, it's now in my head and taints the season for me a little. It definitely makes me kind of relieved that Sandra ended up winning though because she doesn't have any shadiness involved

I mean tbf, Russell and Danielle were the only ones receptive to working with Parvati so she probably works with Russell anyway

Cirie was doing most of the strategic load. you seem them as heroes when they’re aligned with the villainess woman. that don’t make any sense. Candice, HERSELF, literally said that Parvati was supposed to be on the Heroes tribe. she said in a RHAP interview in 2014

If they voted out Sandra instead of Courtney, Courtney would win that season. Sandra did absolutely nothing to deserve that win, except not pissing off heroes.

Four years since Micronesia, more than enough time to review her previous seasons and how she was perceived by her fellows. More than enough time to work on an entirely new strategy (and not like she didn't have any advance notice, thank you, Yul). When a fellow Villain's confessional tags you as the equivalent of a "queen bee" or a tramp, before the merge, even, well, there is one and only one person to blame for that.
I Thought Jerri Was Really Gonna Hit Parv
If rob only had his alliance with russel and parvati he could have had a long way on that season, he chose the wrong alliance despite being so strong.
And that was what jerri did, she flipped and chose the right alliance that made her come a longer way on the competition.
Rob had a great alliance, if it wasn’t for Tyson really really wanting Parv gone, and flipping his vote. If he stuck to his the game plan, Parv and Russell would have been gone, and the final three probably would have been Rob, Sandra/Courtney, and Coach/Tyson.

@@duvall5jd The were already losing challenges with Rob and tyson, if they go into the merg like Russell did it doesn't matter if 1 of them wins immunity. They aren't sneaky enough like parv and russell to get idols just the opposite they forbid anyone from looking for them. Danielle is flipping to the hero's side and one of them villians would be voted out and it would continue. Now could rob make it to final 3 by just winning every immunity challenge? sure but he's not taking any of his alliance with him and you aren't going to win the 1 million with just immunity challenge wins. Hero's would still have there idol there's no way hero's lose the first 5 vs 5 vote (danielle flips so 6 vs 4 with an idol)

I think voting Coach out was a dumb move, if she had voted Courtney out instead, it would then have been Sandra after. Coach had no power. It probably would have been a better move for her.

Russell was the one that saved Parvati at the Villains 2nd tribal council with the idol and the manipulation of Tyson
Russell was the one that got JT to give the Villains the 2nd idol by ensuring Coach left, all Parv did was play it
Russell immediately found the rehidden idol at Final 9
Russell spearheaded the alliance to target Danielle at final 7 while Parvati was powerless and unable to stop him showing that she wasn’t in control
Parvati really didn’t have much power in this season and she did not deserve to win
Him voting out Danielle was a straight up dumb decision, he had the best chance in a final 3 with Parvati and Danielle but after that vote it’s impossible for him to win

Your second point wasn't really Russell's doing. He didn't go after Coach because he thought JT would freak out about a girls' alliance and hand over his idol. Sandra was the mastermind behind that move, and Russell just lucked out when JT gave up his idol.

Amanda clearly had no desire to work with Parvati, I am not 100 percent sure why, but clearly something between Micronesia and this season happened.

Parvati is another unfortunate player in my eyes. Similar to Russel, she's a great strategist, but just so happens to have a horrible, rotten personality as well. The constant manipulation and throwing away of her allies without a second thought (James comes to mind) really soured her win for me :(

Micronesia Parvati was almost a different person from Heros vs Villains Parvati. I agree with you about her and that season. The way she turns from flirt to ruthless sadistic villainess was crazy. However in Heros vs Villains she is more of a team player for the villains protecting Jerri and Danielle. It is just when you are protecting a team called the villains it seems bad but if they were called something else it would look like Parvati was heroic in that season.
So glad Sandra won. True story of good overcoming TWO evils. Or at least a better person winning over garbage
