Parvati actually said in an interview that she received a ton of harsh blowback from fans (particularly female fans) after the Ozzy blindside episode aired on tv. They were calling her nasty names and kept saying she was setting a terrible example for women due to her villain status in Micronesia. This is why she fled to India for an extended vacation while Heroes Vs Villains was airing because she knew there was a chance people would be hating on her again, especially considering she was on the Villains tribe.
It's crazy bc the male villains get credit and are respected and beloved, while the female villains face backlash for setting a bad example for women... lol, at least times have changes since then

Fun fact! it was actually Amanda’s idea to take out Ozzy. Both Parvati and Ozzy have confirmed this in interviews, and Parv took the heat both because of Amanda and Ozzys relationship and Amanda not wanting to get blamed for it (despite it being her plan). Also she DID find the idol at exile but threw it into the ocean knowing that the members of her alliance would find out she had it and would this cause a riff. Such a brilliant player
Huh? I remember an interview from Parvati that it was HER idea. Also Amanda was pissed at Parv about that for a little bit after the Ozzy blindside, that wouldn't make sense that she wouldn't distrust Parv the next day if she had planned it.
@@mrjollyguy25 Yeah, this isn’t correct. Their friendship outside of the game was ruptured because of what Parv did to Ozzy & therefore the game, breaking up the original group with James. (Even though Ozzy cheated on Amanda later on), it’s also why Amanda had so much hostility towards her in HVV.

And I would actually argue her performance in Heroes vs. Villains (in which she did not win) was even better, especially considering the massive target on her before the game even began - which is why Parvati is my pick for best overall player ever. I’m giving it to Parvati because just watching her play that season. I felt like we were watching a surgeon go inside a body with a really delicate operation and just move things and tighten up, and they did their own stitches at the end, they closed up or whatever they did. I mean, everybody who won this game has been a genius in how they’ve done it because they had to do it in their season. But watching Parvati, still when I go back and I see some of those episodes - tiny little adjustments, all of it about persuasion. She either charmed you or she made you feel the consequence. One or the other. Sometimes, both together."
I also think she played better in HvH then a lot, if not all winners, and I’m extremely surprised especially after her amazing tribal council. She is the true queen of survivor
I think the editing of Micronesia really undercuts parvatis strategic chops and very intentional gameplay. They make it seem like she wasn’t the mastermind of the Ozzy blindside (with Amanda ironically), they leave out how Parv found the idol on exile but intentionally left it there so she didn’t create any paranoia in her alliance by bringing it back and risk them finding it and her throwing the final immunity challenge knowing that cirie and Amanda would both take her and she didn’t wanna burn a jury vote with whoever went home
The first one was seemed to be to keep the suspense for that episode. In the next episode's recap, Jeff's narration explains it was Parvati's plan and rightfully gave her the credit for recruiting the two Fans on board. But for the episode Ozzy was blindsided, I think the editors wanted to make Parvati seem like the swing vote because it was obvious the others would vote Ozzy. Regardless, I agree with you, it's annoying they didn't show Parvati finding the idol, they should've showed that to make her win even more epic.
It's revealed after the season Amanda came up with the idea of blindsiding Ozzy. The show didn't want to break the showmance plot line of them so they didn't show that part. They didn't show Parvati finding the Idol because it didn't effect anything in the game. It would be a dead end scene. Oh cool Parvati found the Idol and decided to leave it behind. If she mentioned that at FTC then I believe we would have saw it, but she didn't.
@@cjtrules1 mentioning it at FTC ruins the point. The real purpose is that if parv brings an idol back Natalie now knows that Parvati is letting her get voted out when she could still possibly have saved her. mentioning it ruins that jury management for Parvati.
@@velvetbirds1780 When I said "we would have saw it" I mean we would have saw her find it in the episode so later on in FTC we, the audience already know it. It's not a huge surprise coming out of nowhere. Today's game they would do a flashback though. You are right it runs the risk of ruining things with Natalie but since Parv decided to leave it and then it never came up again other than her denying finding it right after she got back. There is no narrative point to showing it. We can play "could haves" all we want, but what was really shown in the season was that nothing came of it.
Her Micronesia game is super impressive (and out of nowhere based on her first season's edit) but I still argue her game in Season 20 was even more impressive even in taking second.
I remember Yul mentioning how the edit downplayed her gameplay. It also apparently downplayed her(and the Raro's) meanness as they hid them making fun of Penner's wife(RIP).
I think Parvati has one of the best player arcs in all of Survivor from her 1st time out knowing nothing, being the pretty flirt that went out with a sizzle to embracing that flirty side and knowing what she had to do to win, to elevating that even more against an all returnee season that had some of the greatest to ever play the game. Both Micronesia and HvV are incredibly impressive games and if Parvati wasn't so cutthroat in HvV she might have won it. Parvati's cutthroat Micronesia game proved her downfall in HvV FTC because everyone knew her to be that kind of person.
Not sure if it's true but I heard that Parvati actually found the idol on exile but decided not to return with it because it would've created distrust with her and the other women.

I am scratching my head on why someone would follow a channel devoted to a specific show but haven't watched a single episode of it. You are missing A LOT.
The reason Amanda didn't get a huge applause in the beginning was because she came into Micronesia right after China so most of the fans had no idea who she was.
I find it interesting how much is left out of her story in the edit. For example, Parvati DID find the idol at final 5, but she buried it on the beach to not expose her loyalties. Amanda also knew about Ozzy getting blindsided.
I love your videos! It’s the best way for me to engage in the survivor community whilst also not being spoiled by future events, it means i don’t have to completely distance from the community until i eventually catch up! This is definitely just a one comment opinion but for the survivor story videos, i somewhat miss the player stills that are cut out from the episodes used for the thumbnail instead of the professional photographs, i think it gives more character to the story videos!! Keep it up :)
I have never laughed at reality TV as hard as I did with the challenge involving Chet & “Truck”, cry laughing & couldn’t breathe. This has got to be up there as one of the funniest seasons (aside from amazing gameplay & Parv).
I think it was smart of Parvati to say to Amanda that Cirie wouldn’t have won even if Cirie was up against Amanda at the FTC (Even though she would have). Because Parvati knew Amanda was going to take her to the finale no matter what and that little statement made Amanda perceive Cirie the wrong way. When Cirie asked Amanda why did she pick Parvati over her, instead of praising Cirie, she ended up calling Parv the “powerhouse”.

The vitriol towards Parvati was absolutely sexist imo, her strategies were cold but calculated, utilising her strengths to mske up for weaknesses. She deserves the title of villian but as a sign of respect. If a man successfully played as she did then they wouldn't have been treated as she was by the public at the time.
It would be awesome if you do the story of Erinn Lobdell from Tocantins, for me it is one of the best underdog histories who took revenge of all her enemies, and breaking the "unbreakeable three" in the end. Please!!!

I love how creating All-Girls alliances happens on the show, and always seem to do much better than All-Boys alliances. Even when it's thought that a possible All-Girls alliance will happen, it throws everyone in a tizzy. For example, in Cagayan, all the girls (Kass, Tasha, Trish and Jefra) were in the water talking together, and it sent Tony into a tizzy, and he started thinking that another season of All-Girls was going to happen. I can't seem to remember how Spencer reacted though. Anyways, the reason I bring this up is cause I do my own Beanie Boo Survivor, where even when there is 2 monkeys competing (for example, Coconut and Chessie +more), then it sends everyone into a frantic mess, to get rid of them, but they dominate, and pick everyone off, one by one. The only successful season of monkeys, was Season 8, Heroes vs Villains 2, where LeeAnn and Chessie made the final 3 with Gumball, cause Gumball was the last non-primate/monkey left, and was next to go, but became a challenge beast, to where she won the final 5 immunity challenges, sending home first, her final ally in the game, Pippie, after Pixy was voted off, and then the monkeys were left with each other and Gumball, to where they then had to vote each other off. They all wanted to bring Chessie to the end, cause she wouldn't win, after being obnoxiously rude to everyone, and by calling all the shots on who gets voted off, and not to mention, still had a bad reputation of being the one to call Season 2 Co-Runner Up Kiwi, pathetic. So, from there on, Chessie was taken to the end, after calling the shots to vote off, in order, Razberry, Zuri, Charming and Julep, which meant Gumball, LeeAnn & Chessie were in the final 3, and who definately gets 0 votes? Well, that answer is easy, Chessie, because she was rude. Now, the jury consists of the 4 monkeys that were voted out by Chessie, as well as Pippie, Pixy, Anabelle, Icy and Linus. Obviously the 4 monkeys vote LeeAnn cause she was nice to them, but did nothing wrong to any of them, while none of them were with Gumball. Pippie, Pixy and Anabelle were previously alligned with Gumball before they were picked off, Icy respected the fact that Gumball won so many challenges in a row, which now makes it a tie game of 4-4 between Gumball and LeeAnn, and now Linus is LeeAnn's brother, so it's rather obvious that Linus votes his older sister the win, and LeeAnn comes out on top based on her great connection with monkeys, and Gumball comes up short by 1 vote because she didn't have enough good connections (Yes, it was a really bitter jury towards Chessie who got slammed, and unfair for Gumball, who ended up on a bad season for the amount of "great" strategists), while Chessie just came up short for doing the right moves in the wrong way. Sorry, Chessie you could have been nicer about things instead of rude, and you could have stolen the title,because Linus would have still voted for LeeAnn, while the other monkeys would have voted Chessie, if she hadn't planned their exits and Gumball would have still gotten the other 4 votes, which gives the power to LeeAnn, who would have still voted Chessie. Okay, now if you read this, forget you read this, and don't read it ever again.

Once Upon An Island If you ever do make it on the show, make sure nobody recognizes the sound of your voice, knows what your real name is, or what you look like. Otherwise, if anyone on the island recognizes you, you WILL have a massive target on your back because your TH-cam channel clearly indicates that you know way too much about the history of Survivor and how the game works. Just thought I’d give you a useful tip.
That is my favorite version of Parvati. Sort of like how I like Michele in Kaoh Rong and would argue her over Aubry. However, Winners at War Michele is my favorite player of all time. If it was Michele in Winners at War vs Aubry it wouldn't have been a competition.
It's exactly 30 seasons later, and her legacy still unfairly makes it difficult for any young, attractive woman to get a good start in the game. No one else has that.
Cirie wins. In a final 3, a final 2. This was Cirie game. In a final 3 she would get Eliza, Eric and Jason. With the other four being split between Amanda and Parvati. In a final 2 against Parvati Cirie gets Eliza, Jason, Eric, James and Ozzy, Against Amanda, Cirie gets Eliza, Alexis, Natalie, Jason, and probably Eric/Parvati.
Man I hate the black widows alliance as a concept but of them all Parvati seems to be the most genuine? Somehow. Didn't expect that going back but man Amanda irks me way more then I thought previously. And Cirie went too far in some places. Parvati just flirted with them, she wasn't gaslighting like Amanda or ruthless like Cirie. She was the flirt. Not nearly as bad or manipulative from what actually happened. At least to me.
I actually feel like it’s gameplay styles if that makes any sense? Like Parvati was literally flirtatious and blunt about her strategy (which has always been risky to me), whereas Cirie is cunning and ruthless and Amanda does have that emotional manipulation thing whether she realizes it or not.
They were all extremely manipulative and not very genuine tbh. Parvati even admitted she was especially pretty mean to Eliza. I don’t think any of them are genuinely mean people though. They are just villains in the way they play the game. Parvati has really seemed to grow a lot over the years.
@TM I agree but of the 3 Parvati seems the one that wouldn't bother me as much. And yeah they can separate the game for sure. When I knew these were gonna be made i thought Parvati would have the game I respected the least but I was shocked it was the exact opposite. She'd bluntly admit to things, I kinda respect that lol
I agree, when I look back on Parvati's Cook Islands and Micronesia then look at Amanda's China and Micronesia I think Amanda is much worse. She tries to play it off like she is Colby which is what bothers a lot of the people on the jury. Parvati talks a lot of trash but the whole she flirts with guys to get her way thing is blown out of proportion. On Cook Islands her main romance was Nate, and she was pissed when he was voted out. With James Parvati sort of does the Lex thing which isn't her typical move, so it did show she at least cared about him a little bit. (Amanda straight blindsided him with 2 idols) Then in Heros vs Villains she wanted to betray Russell for what he did to Danielle but never got the chance. I always wondered what would have happened if Parvati won that last immunity. Was Sandra such a threat that she would pass up a chance to blindside Russell, I doubt it.
how is eric winning immunity challenges a dumb move? Parvati didn't make any wrong moves there, she just lost a challenge. There wasn't a "smart" thing that she could have done besides be better at shooting a gun or at digging or puzzles. I feel like losing an immunity challenge is as much of a dumb move as being swapped to a bad tribe or not finding a hidden immunity idol, it's not dumb, its just unlucky/being physically outmatched.
They want Erik out otherwise someone from their alliance has to be voted out. Erik wins and disrupts their plans. That's a bad strategic move. It would be smart if Parv had won and it wouldn't have counted as dumb or smart if any of the other women had won it instead of her.
@@OnceUponAnIsland Losing because they're better than you at a challenge isn't a strategic move in the first place. It's not like they planned to lose, which would of course be a really dumb strategic decision. By this logic, the optimal strategy for survivor is to simply never lose immunity. Why worry about not being voted out when you can just not lose immunity? Just solved the game, no longer any need to worry about anything other than getting jury votes.
A dumb strategic move is anything that gets in the way of you winning. Erik winning immunity gets in the way. Thankfully, they pulled off a masterful plan. Otherwise, he likely gets to the final 2 on winning out against whoever he wanted. So yeah, Erik winning immunity at final 5 is a dumb strategic move for every player left, except him.
And if you pay attention to when I mark dumb for losing immunities. It is only if the players butt is obviously on the line or if they need to get someone out. Otherwise it doesn't count for smart or dumb.

Although I'm surprised you didn't pick up on Parvati painting someone as the enemy of the tribe when they voted out JP in Cook Islands. She kept calling JP the King like she kept calling Ozzy a brat. Parvati in Heros vs Villains is my favorite version of Parvati because everyone is pretty much against her, but she uses idols and wins a bunch of challenges. Parvati in Heros vs Villains is more of a warrior compared to the puppet master she was in Micronesia.

It doesn't matter if Parvati is right or wrong what matters is that Parvati made Amanda think about who pissed off more people between her and Cirie, obviously Parvati pissed off more people. If Parvati speaks too much truth to Amanda then Amanda will feel manipulated. It's 5D chess you barely see on Survivor.

Parvati's tribe beat Ozzy's tribe in every immunity challenge after the swap including when she came up with the plan to have James carry Eliza and Parvati.

I’ve always thought Parvati had one of the best winning games in Micronesia, but this video has made me question it a lot. She got very lucky that Fairplay essentially quit during episode 1, giving her breathing room to find her feet and more time to vond with Cirie. I give her and Amanda equal credit for getting Cirie on board, and she did well appeasing Cirie by convincing everyone to vote Yau Man. That’s all she did pre-swap and it’s not out-of-this-world impressive. Let’s be real, the fans were not strategic and self-imploded prior to swapping. When Natalie and Alexis were finally around other rational players, it wasn’t a heavy lift for Parvati to form an alliance. There also weren’t any tribal councils during this part of the game that would’ve given away her position. Kathy and Penner leaving was luck, and nothing she had to work for. Come swap, Eliza was the obvious target, bringing them to final 9 without Parvati really having done many impressive things up to this point. The Ozzy vote was a group effort and it was mostly luck that Ozzy’s arrogance stopped him from listening to the signs and playing his idol. I really believe most other players would’ve played it. The Jason vote was another group effort and he was a gullible player. It was luck again that James was pulled, and from there it was Amanda who saved their alliance with the idol, and it was mostly Cirie who was responsible for the Erik blindside. Between Parvati, Alexis, Natalie, Cirie, and Parvati, I don’t think she played a much better game than the others. Sure there are moves she can take ownership of, but so can the others. Having said all this, she did exactly what she needed to do to win and that makes for a good winner time and again.
I’ve watched a million of your videos and love your channel but this literally feels like u have bias against parvati, holding things against her that don’t make sense at all. Her not bringing the idol back to camp from exile is a big part of why she won. Amanda can be seen emptying her bag meaning that it’s expected of them, parvati knew she’d be expected to empty her bag and show she has the idol, and can then lose jury votes by people expecting her to use it. You also didn’t mention her role in Erik’s downfall which was “bad cop”. Overall great video as always but it does feel like you tried to underrate her game when it’s clearly one of the best of all time

When she straight switches from a Valley Girl Accent to a New York mafia accent like some sort of sociopath that is her letting us know that she is way smarter than she is letting on.
Survivor is timeless. This is one of the best seasons. Fans really were random people and it's good they were like that in this new era is so much fake people doing flashy moves just for the sake of flashy moves. We miss autencity not fake "woke" bullshit

Before the swap, Parvati also had a hand in convincing James and Ozzy to go with Cirie's plan to take out Yau-Man. Parvati vs Sandra Season 7: Sandra never made strategic moves. Only once did she throw out fish and framed someone else. She hid and got dragged. Jill, made so many enemies & were in control of Sandra's fate and was absolutely a nut for not taking Johnny Fairplay to the end. Sandra had no control. Jury bitter -> Sandra wins. Arguably luck. Strategy - Low Social - High Physical - Low Season 13: Parvati took a while to get a grip on the strategic part of the game. She was good in challenges and only became a force near the end of the game. Likable, but forgettable. Unfortunately, once she started making moves it was too late. Strategy - Low Social - High Physical - Medium Season 16: Parvati is cutthroat. Blindsides people left in right. In absolute control of her fate and takes risks instead of sitting back and getting dragged. The leader of the Black Widow brigade while still maintaining a good social standing with all but Ozzy & James. Strategy - High Social - High Physical - High Season 20: Sandra enters with no threat reputation. Almost invisible. Unlike Sandra, there are other players that HAD to play hard to get far prior to 20, Parvati, Rob, Stephanie etc. So these players are seen as threats. Parv doesn't have the luxury to lie around and get dragged, she needs to shape day 1 or out. Despite being targeted, despite being enemy #1 she manages to take control of the Villains tribe alongside Russell. She puts so much fear in the opposing tribe that they go crazy and give an idol to the villains just for the hopes of taking Parv out. Now THATS fear. Sandra again goes with the flow, while Parv plays 2 idols and takes the Heroes out, securing the majority for her tribe. Despite Russell picking at Parv and taking Danielle out she still maneuvers to the end (after winning her own immunities). The jury is bitter at Parv (Villain) while trying to make a point and voting for the most heroic person (Someone who did NOTHING AKA Sandra). Sandra: Strategy - Low Social - High Physical - Low Russell: Strategy - High Social - Low Physical - High Parvati Strategy - High Social - High Physical - Medium Sandra only becomes popular after winning. Not because of her gameplay, but her title. Parvati is feared for her gameplay and doesn't need a win to go down as one of the best in the history of the show.
Actually, Sandra was a popular winner after Pearl Islands, but naturally, you won’t acknowledge anything that goes against your personal view, hence why you haven’t taken any notice of the channel’s videos on Sandra, which acknowledge her as being a smart strategist, but you do you.
Sandra didn't go with the flow though, if she had, she would've been eliminated premerge for HvV as the final boot, furthermore, she kept trying to help the heroes tribe to take out the villains tribe, but the heroes tribe did everything in their way to not do that, including voting for Sandra who tried to help them

Cirie was the one who controlled the season. Only reason she didn't win was because she lost track of the Idols and they bit her ass off. Trying to paint Perv as some great strategist is lame. Her flirtatious nature would have gotten her out of the game and the only reason she remained was because Cirie said so. That is why you tring to paint this Flirt Witch narrative isn't connecting as a strategy. The fact is that Cirie was the Goddess and the bitches were her tools.

I am going chronologically through the show. I have story videos from seasons 1-18, 20, 25, 28, 34, 37, 40, 41, 42, and 43 if you need variety. My non story videos have covered literally every season of the show 😊
Possibly the least skilled player to win. The jury was likely pretty embaraased of their decisions after watching the season. It blows my mind how incredibly naive and dumb people can be. "This person treated me like crap the whole time and tried getting me out of the game whole time. " then vote the person to win a million dollars. Wow. Makes sense still today. You got delusional presidents, presidents with multiple bankruptcies and people worshipping them. The game seems more like a social manipulation game then it has to do with actual skills and survival work at camp. Idols need an additional unique buff that can be used in the final jury if the player gets there. Its wild to see the last few episodes on multiple season of just terrible play in challenges and just endless wining and manipulation with no work at camp and the person walks away with a million. Seems silly.
Get on the show then. If you think it's all about surviving, hunting, and all that physical stuff do that! Completely ignore the other half of the game which is ✨️socializing✨️and being strategic and likable. And ya you may have to manipulate here and there it's the game. If you have a shit game you're not making it to the end. And if you're a shit person if you do make it to the end....I mean look at Russell, lost twice. Great strategist but an unlikable person by the majority of the cast.
they are nothing alike. Russell has control issues and is short tempered. Parvati was always thinking ahead, sly like a fox, and changed each game without sticking her neck too far up. Just because two people are strategists on this show or aggressive players in their own right doesn't mean they're the same player
@@Jeffeffery9 Disagree. They are both thinking all the time. Russell was not short tempered. He did what he did intentionally and not out of anger. They both got rid of people ruthlessly. They both made promises that they knew they wouldn't keep. They differed in 2 ways: In their game play Parv was a temptress while Russell was a bull and Parv was lazy around camp while Russell was a workhorse. Maybe that's why they go along so well.
I'd be lying if I didn't say there are similarities in their strategy. I'd say the differences is that it comes naturally for Parvati while with Russell he has a set strategy that he sticks to. I think Parvati's interactions with Eliza are the biggest difference because Russell would be promising her final 3 even if he planned on voting her off while Parvati kept Eliza at a distance.

Parvati actually said in an interview that she received a ton of harsh blowback from fans (particularly female fans) after the Ozzy blindside episode aired on tv. They were calling her nasty names and kept saying she was setting a terrible example for women due to her villain status in Micronesia. This is why she fled to India for an extended vacation while Heroes Vs Villains was airing because she knew there was a chance people would be hating on her again, especially considering she was on the Villains tribe.

Fun fact! it was actually Amanda’s idea to take out Ozzy. Both Parvati and Ozzy have confirmed this in interviews, and Parv took the heat both because of Amanda and Ozzys relationship and Amanda not wanting to get blamed for it (despite it being her plan). Also she DID find the idol at exile but threw it into the ocean knowing that the members of her alliance would find out she had it and would this cause a riff. Such a brilliant player
Huh? I remember an interview from Parvati that it was HER idea. Also Amanda was pissed at Parv about that for a little bit after the Ozzy blindside, that wouldn't make sense that she wouldn't distrust Parv the next day if she had planned it.

@@mrjollyguy25 Yeah, this isn’t correct. Their friendship outside of the game was ruptured because of what Parv did to Ozzy & therefore the game, breaking up the original group with James. (Even though Ozzy cheated on Amanda later on), it’s also why Amanda had so much hostility towards her in HVV.
This is what Jeff said when he was asked who his favorite winner was: "I will answer it, and I’ll annoy everybody else,” says Probst. “I’m going to give it to Parvati.” A rock-solid choice, if you ask me. While my personal best-winning-season-performance pick goes to Kim Spradlin, Parvati won in epic fashion in Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites. And I would actually argue her performance in Heroes vs. Villains (in which she did not win) was even better, especially considering the massive target on her before the game even began - which is why Parvati is my pick for best overall player ever. I’m giving it to Parvati because just watching her play that season. I felt like we were watching a surgeon go inside a body with a really delicate operation and just move things and tighten up, and they did their own stitches at the end, they closed up or whatever they did. I mean, everybody who won this game has been a genius in how they’ve done it because they had to do it in their season. But watching Parvati, still when I go back and I see some of those episodes - tiny little adjustments, all of it about persuasion. She either charmed you or she made you feel the consequence. One or the other. Sometimes, both together."
I also think she played better in HvH then a lot, if not all winners, and I’m extremely surprised especially after her amazing tribal council. She is the true queen of survivor

I think the editing of Micronesia really undercuts parvatis strategic chops and very intentional gameplay. They make it seem like she wasn’t the mastermind of the Ozzy blindside (with Amanda ironically), they leave out how Parv found the idol on exile but intentionally left it there so she didn’t create any paranoia in her alliance by bringing it back and risk them finding it and her throwing the final immunity challenge knowing that cirie and Amanda would both take her and she didn’t wanna burn a jury vote with whoever went home
The first one was seemed to be to keep the suspense for that episode. In the next episode's recap, Jeff's narration explains it was Parvati's plan and rightfully gave her the credit for recruiting the two Fans on board. But for the episode Ozzy was blindsided, I think the editors wanted to make Parvati seem like the swing vote because it was obvious the others would vote Ozzy. Regardless, I agree with you, it's annoying they didn't show Parvati finding the idol, they should've showed that to make her win even more epic.
It's revealed after the season Amanda came up with the idea of blindsiding Ozzy. The show didn't want to break the showmance plot line of them so they didn't show that part. They didn't show Parvati finding the Idol because it didn't effect anything in the game. It would be a dead end scene. Oh cool Parvati found the Idol and decided to leave it behind. If she mentioned that at FTC then I believe we would have saw it, but she didn't.
@@cjtrules1 mentioning it at FTC ruins the point. The real purpose is that if parv brings an idol back Natalie now knows that Parvati is letting her get voted out when she could still possibly have saved her. mentioning it ruins that jury management for Parvati.

You are right it runs the risk of ruining things with Natalie but since Parv decided to leave it and then it never came up again other than her denying finding it right after she got back. There is no narrative point to showing it. We can play "could haves" all we want, but what was really shown in the season was that nothing came of it.
I think Parvati is my favorite player of all time. She’s just so strong and fierce and I love it 🤩
Her Micronesia game is super impressive (and out of nowhere based on her first season's edit) but I still argue her game in Season 20 was even more impressive even in taking second.
I remember Yul mentioning how the edit downplayed her gameplay. It also apparently downplayed her(and the Raro's) meanness as they hid them making fun of Penner's wife(RIP).
I think Parvati has one of the best player arcs in all of Survivor from her 1st time out knowing nothing, being the pretty flirt that went out with a sizzle to embracing that flirty side and knowing what she had to do to win, to elevating that even more against an all returnee season that had some of the greatest to ever play the game. Both Micronesia and HvV are incredibly impressive games and if Parvati wasn't so cutthroat in HvV she might have won it. Parvati's cutthroat Micronesia game proved her downfall in HvV FTC because everyone knew her to be that kind of person.

I find it interesting how much is left out of her story in the edit. For example, Parvati DID find the idol at final 5, but she buried it on the beach to not expose her loyalties. Amanda also knew about Ozzy getting blindsided.
Also, Parvati was the one who came up with the strategy to have James carry Eliza and her across the water according to James.

This is definitely just a one comment opinion but for the survivor story videos, i somewhat miss the player stills that are cut out from the episodes used for the thumbnail instead of the professional photographs, i think it gives more character to the story videos!! Keep it up :)

I have never laughed at reality TV as hard as I did with the challenge involving Chet & “Truck”, cry laughing & couldn’t breathe. This has got to be up there as one of the funniest seasons (aside from amazing gameplay & Parv).
I think it was smart of Parvati to say to Amanda that Cirie wouldn’t have won even if Cirie was up against Amanda at the FTC (Even though she would have). Because Parvati knew Amanda was going to take her to the finale no matter what and that little statement made Amanda perceive Cirie the wrong way. When Cirie asked Amanda why did she pick Parvati over her, instead of praising Cirie, she ended up calling Parv the “powerhouse”.

She deserves the title of villian but as a sign of respect. If a man successfully played as she did then they wouldn't have been treated as she was by the public at the time.

I love how creating All-Girls alliances happens on the show, and always seem to do much better than All-Boys alliances. Even when it's thought that a possible All-Girls alliance will happen, it throws everyone in a tizzy. For example, in Cagayan, all the girls (Kass, Tasha, Trish and Jefra) were in the water talking together, and it sent Tony into a tizzy, and he started thinking that another season of All-Girls was going to happen. I can't seem to remember how Spencer reacted though. Anyways, the reason I bring this up is cause I do my own Beanie Boo Survivor, where even when there is 2 monkeys competing (for example, Coconut and Chessie +more), then it sends everyone into a frantic mess, to get rid of them, but they dominate, and pick everyone off, one by one. The only successful season of monkeys, was Season 8, Heroes vs Villains 2, where LeeAnn and Chessie made the final 3 with Gumball, cause Gumball was the last non-primate/monkey left, and was next to go, but became a challenge beast, to where she won the final 5 immunity challenges, sending home first, her final ally in the game, Pippie, after Pixy was voted off, and then the monkeys were left with each other and Gumball, to where they then had to vote each other off. They all wanted to bring Chessie to the end, cause she wouldn't win, after being obnoxiously rude to everyone, and by calling all the shots on who gets voted off, and not to mention, still had a bad reputation of being the one to call Season 2 Co-Runner Up Kiwi, pathetic. So, from there on, Chessie was taken to the end, after calling the shots to vote off, in order, Razberry, Zuri, Charming and Julep, which meant Gumball, LeeAnn & Chessie were in the final 3, and who definately gets 0 votes? Well, that answer is easy, Chessie, because she was rude. Now, the jury consists of the 4 monkeys that were voted out by Chessie, as well as Pippie, Pixy, Anabelle, Icy and Linus. Obviously the 4 monkeys vote LeeAnn cause she was nice to them, but did nothing wrong to any of them, while none of them were with Gumball. Pippie, Pixy and Anabelle were previously alligned with Gumball before they were picked off, Icy respected the fact that Gumball won so many challenges in a row, which now makes it a tie game of 4-4 between Gumball and LeeAnn, and now Linus is LeeAnn's brother, so it's rather obvious that Linus votes his older sister the win, and LeeAnn comes out on top based on her great connection with monkeys, and Gumball comes up short by 1 vote because she didn't have enough good connections (Yes, it was a really bitter jury towards Chessie who got slammed, and unfair for Gumball, who ended up on a bad season for the amount of "great" strategists), while Chessie just came up short for doing the right moves in the wrong way. Sorry, Chessie you could have been nicer about things instead of rude, and you could have stolen the title,because Linus would have still voted for LeeAnn, while the other monkeys would have voted Chessie, if she hadn't planned their exits and Gumball would have still gotten the other 4 votes, which gives the power to LeeAnn, who would have still voted Chessie. Okay, now if you read this, forget you read this, and don't read it ever again.

Man I hate the black widows alliance as a concept but of them all Parvati seems to be the most genuine? Somehow. Didn't expect that going back but man Amanda irks me way more then I thought previously. And Cirie went too far in some places. Parvati just flirted with them, she wasn't gaslighting like Amanda or ruthless like Cirie. She was the flirt. Not nearly as bad or manipulative from what actually happened. At least to me.
I actually feel like it’s gameplay styles if that makes any sense? Like Parvati was literally flirtatious and blunt about her strategy (which has always been risky to me), whereas Cirie is cunning and ruthless and Amanda does have that emotional manipulation thing whether she realizes it or not.
They were all extremely manipulative and not very genuine tbh. Parvati even admitted she was especially pretty mean to Eliza. I don’t think any of them are genuinely mean people though. They are just villains in the way they play the game. Parvati has really seemed to grow a lot over the years.

I agree, when I look back on Parvati's Cook Islands and Micronesia then look at Amanda's China and Micronesia I think Amanda is much worse. She tries to play it off like she is Colby which is what bothers a lot of the people on the jury. Parvati talks a lot of trash but the whole she flirts with guys to get her way thing is blown out of proportion. On Cook Islands her main romance was Nate, and she was pissed when he was voted out. With James Parvati sort of does the Lex thing which isn't her typical move, so it did show she at least cared about him a little bit. (Amanda straight blindsided him with 2 idols) Then in Heros vs Villains she wanted to betray Russell for what he did to Danielle but never got the chance. I always wondered what would have happened if Parvati won that last immunity. Was Sandra such a threat that she would pass up a chance to blindside Russell, I doubt it.
how is eric winning immunity challenges a dumb move? Parvati didn't make any wrong moves there, she just lost a challenge. There wasn't a "smart" thing that she could have done besides be better at shooting a gun or at digging or puzzles. I feel like losing an immunity challenge is as much of a dumb move as being swapped to a bad tribe or not finding a hidden immunity idol, it's not dumb, its just unlucky/being physically outmatched.
They want Erik out otherwise someone from their alliance has to be voted out. Erik wins and disrupts their plans. That's a bad strategic move. It would be smart if Parv had won and it wouldn't have counted as dumb or smart if any of the other women had won it instead of her.
@@OnceUponAnIsland Losing because they're better than you at a challenge isn't a strategic move in the first place. It's not like they planned to lose, which would of course be a really dumb strategic decision. By this logic, the optimal strategy for survivor is to simply never lose immunity. Why worry about not being voted out when you can just not lose immunity? Just solved the game, no longer any need to worry about anything other than getting jury votes.
A dumb strategic move is anything that gets in the way of you winning. Erik winning immunity gets in the way. Thankfully, they pulled off a masterful plan. Otherwise, he likely gets to the final 2 on winning out against whoever he wanted. So yeah, Erik winning immunity at final 5 is a dumb strategic move for every player left, except him.
And if you pay attention to when I mark dumb for losing immunities. It is only if the players butt is obviously on the line or if they need to get someone out. Otherwise it doesn't count for smart or dumb.

Although I'm surprised you didn't pick up on Parvati painting someone as the enemy of the tribe when they voted out JP in Cook Islands. She kept calling JP the King like she kept calling Ozzy a brat. Parvati in Heros vs Villains is my favorite version of Parvati because everyone is pretty much against her, but she uses idols and wins a bunch of challenges. Parvati in Heros vs Villains is more of a warrior compared to the puppet master she was in Micronesia.

It doesn't matter if Parvati is right or wrong what matters is that Parvati made Amanda think about who pissed off more people between her and Cirie, obviously Parvati pissed off more people. If Parvati speaks too much truth to Amanda then Amanda will feel manipulated. It's 5D chess you barely see on Survivor.

Parvati's tribe beat Ozzy's tribe in every immunity challenge after the swap including when she came up with the plan to have James carry Eliza and Parvati.

@ I mean I think that highlights poor challenge play rather than poor strategic play; it feels like you are conflating the two. If Parv intentionally threw the challenge then yeah it’s a bad strategic move, but there is nothing to indicate that she did that
I’ve always thought Parvati had one of the best winning games in Micronesia, but this video has made me question it a lot.
She got very lucky that Fairplay essentially quit during episode 1, giving her breathing room to find her feet and more time to vond with Cirie. I give her and Amanda equal credit for getting Cirie on board, and she did well appeasing Cirie by convincing everyone to vote Yau Man. That’s all she did pre-swap and it’s not out-of-this-world impressive.
Let’s be real, the fans were not strategic and self-imploded prior to swapping. When Natalie and Alexis were finally around other rational players, it wasn’t a heavy lift for Parvati to form an alliance. There also weren’t any tribal councils during this part of the game that would’ve given away her position. Kathy and Penner leaving was luck, and nothing she had to work for.
Come swap, Eliza was the obvious target, bringing them to final 9 without Parvati really having done many impressive things up to this point. The Ozzy vote was a group effort and it was mostly luck that Ozzy’s arrogance stopped him from listening to the signs and playing his idol. I really believe most other players would’ve played it. The Jason vote was another group effort and he was a gullible player. It was luck again that James was pulled, and from there it was Amanda who saved their alliance with the idol, and it was mostly Cirie who was responsible for the Erik blindside.
Between Parvati, Alexis, Natalie, Cirie, and Parvati, I don’t think she played a much better game than the others. Sure there are moves she can take ownership of, but so can the others.
Having said all this, she did exactly what she needed to do to win and that makes for a good winner time and again.

I’ve watched a million of your videos and love your channel but this literally feels like u have bias against parvati, holding things against her that don’t make sense at all. Her not bringing the idol back to camp from exile is a big part of why she won. Amanda can be seen emptying her bag meaning that it’s expected of them, parvati knew she’d be expected to empty her bag and show she has the idol, and can then lose jury votes by people expecting her to use it. You also didn’t mention her role in Erik’s downfall which was “bad cop”. Overall great video as always but it does feel like you tried to underrate her game when it’s clearly one of the best of all time

Survivor is timeless. This is one of the best seasons. Fans really were random people and it's good they were like that in this new era is so much fake people doing flashy moves just for the sake of flashy moves. We miss autencity not fake "woke" bullshit

Before the swap, Parvati also had a hand in convincing James and Ozzy to go with Cirie's plan to take out Yau-Man. Parvati also was at the top of her alliance with Amanda and Cirie, as both trusted her more than they trusted each other.

Season 7:
Sandra never made strategic moves. Only once did she throw out fish and framed someone else. She hid and got dragged. Jill, made so many enemies & were in control of Sandra's fate and was absolutely a nut for not taking Johnny Fairplay to the end. Sandra had no control. Jury bitter -> Sandra wins. Arguably luck.

Parvati took a while to get a grip on the strategic part of the game. She was good in challenges and only became a force near the end of the game. Likable, but forgettable. Unfortunately, once she started making moves it was too late.

Parvati is cutthroat. Blindsides people left in right. In absolute control of her fate and takes risks instead of sitting back and getting dragged. The leader of the Black Widow brigade while still maintaining a good social standing with all but Ozzy & James.

Season 20:
Sandra enters with no threat reputation. Almost invisible. Unlike Sandra, there are other players that HAD to play hard to get far prior to 20, Parvati, Rob, Stephanie etc. So these players are seen as threats. Parv doesn't have the luxury to lie around and get dragged, she needs to shape day 1 or out. Despite being targeted, despite being enemy #1 she manages to take control of the Villains tribe alongside Russell. She puts so much fear in the opposing tribe that they go crazy and give an idol to the villains just for the hopes of taking Parv out. Now THATS fear.
Sandra again goes with the flow, while Parv plays 2 idols and takes the Heroes out, securing the majority for her tribe. Despite Russell picking at Parv and taking Danielle out she still maneuvers to the end (after winning her own immunities). The jury is bitter at Parv (Villain) while trying to make a point and voting for the most heroic person (Someone who did NOTHING AKA Sandra).

Sandra only becomes popular after winning. Not because of her gameplay, but her title. Parvati is feared for her gameplay and doesn't need a win to go down as one of the best in the history of the show.
Actually, Sandra was a popular winner after Pearl Islands, but naturally, you won’t acknowledge anything that goes against your personal view, hence why you haven’t taken any notice of the channel’s videos on Sandra, which acknowledge her as being a smart strategist, but you do you.

Sandra didn't go with the flow though, if she had, she would've been eliminated premerge for HvV as the final boot, furthermore, she kept trying to help the heroes tribe to take out the villains tribe, but the heroes tribe did everything in their way to not do that, including voting for Sandra who tried to help them

Cirie was the one who controlled the season. Only reason she didn't win was because she lost track of the Idols and they bit her ass off. Trying to paint Perv as some great strategist is lame. Her flirtatious nature would have gotten her out of the game and the only reason she remained was because Cirie said so. That is why you tring to paint this Flirt Witch narrative isn't connecting as a strategy. The fact is that Cirie was the Goddess and the bitches were her tools.

Possibly the least skilled player to win. The jury was likely pretty embaraased of their decisions after watching the season. It blows my mind how incredibly naive and dumb people can be. "This person treated me like crap the whole time and tried getting me out of the game whole time. " then vote the person to win a million dollars. Wow. Makes sense still today. You got delusional presidents, presidents with multiple bankruptcies and people worshipping them. The game seems more like a social manipulation game then it has to do with actual skills and survival work at camp. Idols need an additional unique buff that can be used in the final jury if the player gets there. Its wild to see the last few episodes on multiple season of just terrible play in challenges and just endless wining and manipulation with no work at camp and the person walks away with a million. Seems silly.
Get on the show then. If you think it's all about surviving, hunting, and all that physical stuff do that! Completely ignore the other half of the game which is ✨️socializing✨️and being strategic and likable. And ya you may have to manipulate here and there it's the game. If you have a shit game you're not making it to the end. And if you're a shit person if you do make it to the end....I mean look at Russell, lost twice. Great strategist but an unlikable person by the majority of the cast.

they are nothing alike. Russell has control issues and is short tempered. Parvati was always thinking ahead, sly like a fox, and changed each game without sticking her neck too far up. Just because two people are strategists on this show or aggressive players in their own right doesn't mean they're the same player
@@Jeffeffery9 Disagree. They are both thinking all the time. Russell was not short tempered. He did what he did intentionally and not out of anger. They both got rid of people ruthlessly. They both made promises that they knew they wouldn't keep. They differed in 2 ways: In their game play Parv was a temptress while Russell was a bull and Parv was lazy around camp while Russell was a workhorse. Maybe that's why they go along so well.
I'd be lying if I didn't say there are similarities in their strategy. I'd say the differences is that it comes naturally for Parvati while with Russell he has a set strategy that he sticks to. I think Parvati's interactions with Eliza are the biggest difference because Russell would be promising her final 3 even if he planned on voting her off while Parvati kept Eliza at a distance.
