      Yeah if you're like looking at octopus having an orgy with black and red tentacles so much extra wiring time to hook these things up. It's like buying a car but if you want to transmission and you got to spend more money and then you need to drive line so you got to buy that and then you got to buy a differential and some axles and then you go by rims and you got to put tires on those and that's what it's like when you go you're just buying product that just had other features slapped onto it till it got to the point where they couldn't make it all work in the cabinet and the communications are on three different formats so you got to skip through all that and most of them won't communicate with some batteries so it's a convoluted system that if you want to do this you got to buy that by the time you're done you're into it 6K.
      And then you're always wondering in the back of your mind is that electrical connection going to start a fire. And will my insurance cover it if it's not a UL approved electrical device?

    Thanks for the video, Im looking for a monitoring system like de CERBO GX for my boat. I've already bought an inverter but doesn't have any communication port to connect the CERBO GX. I would like to know if there is something like an a AC shunt or something like. Thanks

    Question on Saved Settings. I have 2 (24/3000) Multiplus inverters running in Split Phase (US/Canada) 240V. I am using an assistant to trigger AC charging based on SOC values. Will these assistant settings be saved and reloaded to both inverters after upgrading and reloading the saved settings file?

    Hi mate just wondering what the benefit is of doing this ? Just to eliminate noise ? Or does it perform better or last longer ? I have multplus 3000va maybe 4 years old & never missed a beat . Im not very computerised but if it’s worth doing I’ll get my wife to help . 🍻

    Will this work with an iPhone yet to change settings ❓❓❓
    I just added AC INPUT but threw the app with light the MK3 I can’t do anything
    I hit the on switch and it ramped up to 200amps charging right away 😳‼️

    Should you disconnect the cerbo's ethernet cable from the VE-Bus while doing this?

    I have a Victron 24 V/ 3000 model. I haven’t been able to update mine at all because I don’t have windows and I don’t use a PC. I only use Macs and I’ve only had OIS for ages.
    Is there any way I can do this without buying windows, which I don’t know how to use & I don’t want to learn. 😳
    Not sure why they can’t make a firmware for Apple?
    I already have the dongle to hook up a computer. 🖖🙏

      ben - i tried to give you links to the mac solution, but youtube deleted my post because it had links in it. You can find my email on my youtube listing to reach me for help doing this. it's supported on mac os 10.12 and above (fully supported at that o/s, limited support at prior o/s versions) if enough people have a problem using macs with victron, i can do a video on this subject.

      You can update firmware via VEConfigure Remote Firmware update feature via VRM portal directly from your browser and independent of OS.

      you can also update using a VE Bus Smart Dongle via VictronConnect

    I have a Quattro 48/10000 Just connected it for the first time, currently its only connected to the 48v battery, its got a loud buzz/hum. Updated the firmware and it made no difference, do they normally hum with no load?

    • @CurrentConnected
      @CurrentConnected  ปีที่แล้ว

      The bigger inverters do have a tad bit more noise than the smaller ones...a bit of a hum, but it should not be too excessive.

    • @TheRonskiman
      @TheRonskiman ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CurrentConnected Thanks for the reply. I don't think its excessive, just in a quiet garage its quite noticeable.

    Victron needs to make a Mac or Apple version of firmware updates! And I’m not talking about VictronConnect app. Which is very limited.

    • @CurrentConnected
      @CurrentConnected  ปีที่แล้ว

      Victron connect is the main app for firmware updates and is mac compatible. I don't get why that wouldn't work for you?

      You can’t do updates on firmware with VictronConnect and the inverter. You can’t change other settings like how many amps your gas generator would receive!

      @@simon359 Yes you absolutely can. We pre-program and update firmware on the inverters prior to shipping them, and our programming guy uses a mac and VictronConnect.

      also, that's a lav mic - all lav mics have high pass filtering to cut the 60hz hum and buz because its usually undesired, and not an important spectrum for human speech (think newscast) which lav's are intended for. this is why reputable singers don't use lav mics, but rather stick mics with large capsules (mic element) that have broadened spectral response, often made with a humbucker second coil to prevent unwanted induced 60/120 Hz hum from electrical equipment from making it into the output signal while allowing true acoustic 60hz signals to show up naturally, like when a stick mic is placed in front of an electric bass guitar amp. The difference in firmware noise is substantial as I have done the upgrade and heard it myself. If there's interest, I may record a video with a proper vocalist microphone and a dB meter for folks on laptop speakers to show how substantial it really is.

    Friend of mine had one of these units it started buzzing real loud and we decide to open the cabinet and take a look.
    Turned out there was some sort of invisible midget inside of the inverter with the arc welder we could see all the flashy and Sparks it originated from those spring connectors and traveled its way up the board fortunate we were able to disconnect the pV and batteries.
    So he filed a complaint with the Federal trade commission ftc.gov as that's where all recalls for defective devices start from the wire connections on these are a known issue that has never been resolved for nearly 20 years.
    Perhaps a class action lawsuit is necessary I know of four people who had these inverters melt down at the connections and victron says it was because they use the wrong wire or installed it improperly.
    Basically refusing to take responsibility but they'll happily sell you another unit with the same defect.
