- After a several busy weeks travelling around the country, it is time to head back to the bush to relax. Join me as I head into familiar country to check out an areas I have walked into previous without a rifle.
The wind is supposed to be getting up there, so lets hope the wind hold estimates are correct!

Hey Stan, yeah I saw your video pop up earlier in the week. It's a good walk up that way from the car park from where you came in from. There's a good clearing at around 1100-1400 ish yards just before you get to the tops. Might be back there within the month.

Thanks mate. Got out again today and lined up a red at 800 yards in the Aorangis. Round went high. Might have a scope issue as the reticle is leaning to one side. Gutted!

Must of been me (Adam from Te Awamutu) and my mate Grant (Local) which you bumped into on the way out 1/2 way up the track that you talked about I’m guessing. Just randomly came across your video lol.
Hey Adam, nice of you to reach out. Hope your hunt went well. I've just come out again after another trip in there. Had a miss at 794 yards. Went back through my shooting process, this time checking the level on my scope mount and found the scope was leaning to one side. So gutted.
If you want to get out for a hunt sometime and Grant can't make it, sing out.

Sounds awesome for a trip sometime, it’s a bugger that I’m a 6hr drive from you guys but I will be definitely coming down again at some stage. I’m generally been more of a stalker at our locations up this way but loved your open country down there so definitely keen to hit same more areas like that again. Man that’s a awesome range to be shooting at but definitely understand the importance of a level rifle. I actually just chucked a bubble level on my scope last night and man what a difference that made with targets today. With my shorty I would be happy to reach the 400y - 450 yard mark accurately this year if I could but long range is newer to me as most of my deer stalking has been 5y to 200y lol. I had a 300wm but sold that recently and plan to get another next year to open up the range a little more again in some of these more open spots even if I have to travel more.
