    The perfect speaker exists if you’re not a Type A critic and believes their 5 year old Toyota Prius is the best car ever

    I have been rocking the Dali Oberon 3's for about three weeks now and I am absolutely in love with these speakers and the sound they produce! I have the Elac Uni-FI B52's and they are good, but they are no where near as musically pleasing as the Dali Oberon 3's. I also have the Polk Rti A3's and they are good too, but they just don't move me like the Dali's do. I can listen to these speakers for hours. I just ordered a Parasound 2125 v2 Power Amp and it should be here tomorrow, Can't wait! Thanks guys for the reviews!

    Prices in Denmark as of October 2023:
    Klipsch RP-600M II : $778 (sometimes $693)
    Triangle Borea BR03: $538
    Dali Oberon 3: $566 (down from $736)

      At that price the Dali’s are a steal.

    You said: The K-Horn is probably one of the greatest sounding speakers you've every heard.
    What year K-horn are you talking about? Because for years the K-Horn, La Scalas, Belle, and Hersey used the same tweeter and they were MUCH brighter than the RP600M's tweeter.

    • @JilesMcCoy
      @JilesMcCoy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think Mike said that. I do like K-Horns quite a bit. I listened to the 2019 new model at RMAF 2 years ago.

    The Dali is good but I have some Dynaudios Forty same size but more expensive. With the right amplifier, sounds larger and more exact and more power (less coloration when it is getting really loud).

    I appreciate your review here, I am looking at the Dali Oberon 3 right now, I can get a pair of white oak for $445 for the pair. I was curious if you think a yamaha A-S301 would be able to drive these Dali without a lot of effort? My purpose for this set up will be strictly vinyl playback in a 11 feet wide, 15 deep, 7 feet high finished room

      Hi! Thanks for watching. The Yamaha is 60x2 and you probably will never use more than 10 or 15 watts... so it should be fine. I'd have no problem matching the 2.

    Thank you very much for sharing this video! Your descriptions are greats and help us to decid what we need. I've just bought a Dali Oberon 3 pair, with a Marantz PM6007 amplifier and i'm extremely satisfied. I can listen for hours, it's real pleasure, with a great stereo scene, a lot of precision and détails, and a balanced sound which makes me re discoverng my CD's. Just a question for other owners please : which sound do you prefer, with ou without the grill ?

    • @JilesMcCoy

    • @generaluse9943
      @generaluse9943 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JilesMcCoy Well then, when you think about separates, what impact do different types of amps have? I have only used avr's in the past but wont to consider adding some amps and am totally new to this arena. I currently have Dynaudio Emits (2015) and am considering a second set up with Dalis (Oberons or Opticons-if I can find a good deal on used). Will any amp do that pushes 100-150w per channel or what? I do like the warmer sound (avr's Marantz z& Yamaha). Would love to hear any advice you might have! Thanks.

      @@generaluse9943 My first amp was Yamaha AVR with B&W speakers, after I bought Marantz amp I've heard speakers for the first time! AVR's 135W per Channel weren't even close to amp's 45W per channel. Later I bought Dali speakers and for my taste this was great combo.

    I would list the speakers as number 2 in the prio list. The room itself is more important for the sound then any other factor. You see many $100k+ systems in shitty rooms where if you had any 50k system and used 50k on the room, it would sound much better. Good gear is fine and all, but the room is more important then many thinks.! No system will make sound inside a tin barrel sound good.. :D

    • @JilesMcCoy

    I paid 350 bucks altogether for my Oberon 3s on special closeout Dali summer sale in Netherlands one month ago. I'm absolutely impressed although they are not fully played in yet. I have connected them to my Technics SL-PS 700 CD player and my 2 x 60 watts Class A Technics amp SU 7700k which was 500 bucks in 1976. You would be pushed hard to get a better sound with a today's amp or receiver. I'm quite sure you would have to pay some thousand bucks nowadays. They have easily replaced my good old 90s Canton Karat...

    It's not THUH other two.... It's THEE other two. The followed by a word with a vowel is pronounced THEE N O T THUH. I think you may have been inclined to say THEE but mistakenly thought it wasn't correct when in fact it IS proper English. I say this because you say THUH other each and EVERY time.

      Lol.... I'm a Klipsch and Dali dealer and can tell you that the Klipsch RP stuff is good for certain things, but not done to the level of the Dali stuff. Standard Klipsch is a low cost "name brand" to every day basic consumers in the audio world. Meaning: People who don't know a lot about audio gear and have a low budget. The RP line is decent, but not anything to brag about. The RF7III is a different animal, but the RP is not a special soindkng speaker. They look cool, though.
      Revel Concerta2 M16 stomps the Klipsch and the Dali. I'm a dealer of all 3 and the Revel is the superior speaker.
