    Welcome to a guided breathing session.
    0:00 INTRO
    0:19 ROUND 1 - 1:30min Breath Hold
    4:05 ROUND 2 - 2:00min Breath Hold
    8:21 ROUND 3 - 2:30min Breath Hold
    13:08 ROUND 4 - 2:30min Breath Hold
    17:55 ROUND 5 - 3:00min Breath Hold
    Try to relax by sitting down or lying down before you start.
    First round is a warm-up round of just conscious breathing without any extra emphasis on the power of the breath. Simply relax and breathe in through your nose into your belly then into the chest into the head, then let it all go out of the mouth. Think about how you breathe, and focus your attention on the breath only.
    After the warm-up you can proceed with the first round. I suggest you start with a slower pace with shallow breaths and work your way up. The last round should be your maximum breathing speed and maximum depth of the breath.
    But be careful not to force anything. If you experience any discomfort, just take it easier.
    Remember, the goal of doing this is to make you feel good :)
    The Wim Hof Breathing technique in general is meant for everyone who would like to improve the way they feel. Performed correctly and daily, this breathing exercise tends to strengthen the immune system and relieve symptoms of stress in the individual.
    Step by step instructions:
    1. Breathe in through the nose or mouth. Inhale deeply into your belly, then into your chest, and finally into your head. One complete circular motion. Then exhale. Just let the air out naturally and do not force the air out. Repeat this until the round is over (30-50 breaths)
    2. On the last exhale of each breathing round, hold your breath for the duration shown on the timer.
    3. After the breath hold, inhale fully and hold your breath for 15 seconds. Then let the air out of your lungs again and start again from the beginning.
    4. Repeat each round :)
    Safety information:
    The breathing exercise has a profound effect and should be practiced in the way it is explained. Always do the breathing exercise in a safe environment (e.g. sitting on a couch/floor) and unforced. Never practice the exercises before or during diving, driving, swimming, taking a bath or in any other environment/place where, should you pass out, a serious injury could occur.

    The best wim hoff guided breathing videos on TH-cam I've found, the pace and the music as well is perfect. Without this and ice showers and soon baths when I manage to get an ice machine at home, nothing else I've tried helps more with anxiety, focus and depression. Its become a daily ritual and I'm living alone now so doing it seems even easier and more relaxing. Best way to start the day and even 20 minutes at lunch and a full 45 mins late afternoon gets me through the day in a way I never thought possible. Every time I do it I feel like I've reset myself and things I want to get done seem easier and the brain fog dissappear and I'm able to list things coherently instead of drowning in a babble of erratic thoughts like I used to. Its genuine to say these things have changed my life.

    First time doing breathing techniques like this.. In the first round I could hold my breath for only 20 seconds, but by the final round I did an entire minute of breath holding. Found myself pretty relaxed though my mind stayed busy.. Will continue to practice, hopefully I can lessen my brain traffic and learn to relax. Thank you!

    I'm new to this method. I've been practicing breathing for about a week but not the ice water. My wife and I have been doing this in the evening but this morning was the first time I tried to do it first thing when I wake up. After doing the breathing exercises, I went in for an ice cold shower. What an experience! What an exhilaration! My body and mind was so stimulated, it lasted well into the afternoon. And I can honestly say I was more stimulated than drinking coffee. I don't know if I want to give up coffee since I do enjoy it so much. But I think I could now if I wanted to. If today was any indication of what the stimulation is like, I know now I don't need caffeine. I may want it, but I don't need it. I might even try a 7-day challenge and see what it's like without coffee. I don't remember any time in my adult life I went 7 days without coffee and I'm 60. This should be fascinating. At any rate, this is a game changer. Totally changed my life.

    • @breathcentral764
      @breathcentral764  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You fill your body with so much oxygen that the little hearing cells get excited and start producing a white noise/wind like sound on their own. It happens to me also. A rush of noise sound and all other sounds around me disappear. Do not worry, you are not causing any damage to your hearing :)

      @@jakobwagner6375 Hey, this is the explanation I read in Wim Hofs official book (page 181). If you have another one please feel free to share :) I also suffer from some degree of chronic tinnitus myself and the breathing causes it to intensify.

    • @breathcentral764
      @breathcentral764  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jakobwagner6375 Quote from book:
      "For some people, practicing Wim Hof breathing either induces or exacerbates the ringing, while for others it changes the pitch. Conversely, those dealing with chronic tinnitus often find relief from its concomitant anxiety in the calming effect of the breathing techniques. The connection between tinnitus and the Wim Hof breathing has various possible causes. Medical research shows a direct link between pulsatile tinnitus and anemia, which the Wim Hof breathing may ameliorate through the elevated oxygen intake. The breathing exercises also increase neural activity in the auditory brain stem, where the brain processes sounds, possibly causing auditory nerve cells to become over-excited. The scientific community continues to grapple with the particulars of tinnitus, but has established that the phenomenon itself is harmless."
      - so that is pretty much all. I hope I did not "deceive" anyone. If that seems to be the case, I apologize.

      Yes. I experience some type of hearing loss during the later stage of a session. My ears start to ring also a bit and I hear the music and sound effects not so good anymore. However, this is normal for this exercise, even Wim Hof talks about this in his book. Do not worry, you are not risking any permanent hearing damage doing this exercise.
