Captain America can still succeed. They do reshoots to not damage there brand. Snow white doesn't make sense people are just going to forget about it so why bother. It's not a cinematic universe
You hit the nail on the head on MCU reshoots. I always say, Marvel Studios should've been a real STUDIO. Disney is so brand obsessed, sacrificing creative individuality of each project. And for what? So if one project flop, the whole thing is put into question? When The Marvels had that history flop, it's not the future of Captain Marvel's that put in doubts. It's MCU as a whole. It will be the same with CA4, even moreso. This is why I've actually been against the MCU from being too connected. It makes sense for Infinity Saga, but we're not there anymore. And no, "Phase 4 is experimental phase" is a lie. That shit was too connected too.
In my opinion, Reshoot is never going to save any film. It can improved the film to some degree, for sure. But any film that made people who worked on it think "This need Reshoot to save it" mean that there is something fundamentally wrong about the original product and already went past the saving point by then.
I hope that Disney & Marvel focus less on reshoots after Captain America: Brave New World & Snow White especially since these budgets are just way too high for both of these movies to make a profit!
They seem to be guide in the wrong directions. I think one of the reasons is they continue hiring different ethic actors to please one ethic community. After years of people complaining about why studios don't cast them in more movies, the coin is flipped and it cause more issues with fans. Proof I believe you can't please everyone.
@@theketaminekid1241 I think it does. While auditions for the role of Snow White, there was another Hispanic actress along side Rachel who was up for the role. The studio seem so bent on getting one cast despite the fan uproar here.
The points made about Disney's shitshow managmeent and desperation to give life to their failing ips was pretty effective, and generally I agree with the sentiment, but I must say and with no intent for harm, that your Rachel Zegler comments edge a bit too much into culture war rage-bait territory and ultimately drown up your otherwise decent points, specially considering Rachel's co-star, Gal Gadot, has done and said much worse
Zegler’s criticized the original Snow White film multiple times and turned off a lot of people who aren’t embroiled in the current culture war at all. I really believe a large part of this movie bombing will fall onto her unprofessionalism.
@Fantagonistic Even if we agreed she was unproffesional I highly doubt the 10 year old girls that comprise 80% of the audience will care. The movie will flop because it looks like shit
When I saw the trailers for captain america, it looked fairly promising and I was excited until I learnt about the production, various reshoots and poor test screenings of the film.
Question. Was anybody excited about seeing The Falcon as Captain America? To me, anytime Falcon was on-screen or was mentioned, I couldn't help but think "Yeah, sure, but how's my man Tony doing? Is Rogers alright?" Hell, I was more invested in War Machine, and he got mocked by the Avengers in Age of Ultron for his "uninteresting" hero story.
I agree I like War Machine more but I was very excited to see Falcon as Captain America since it’s a big stage in the comics and I’m so excited for this new movie
Agreed, Falcon has never been interesting enough to be a leading character. They should've given the shield to Bucky. Far more potential for interesting storytelling with him in the role.
I was. Even before Steve literallt handed Sam the shield, I knew he was gonna be the next Captain America. But the trailers suck. And the reports are even worse.
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp there’s no way the world would’ve been okay with Bucky handling the shield because of his past reputation for being a terrorist which is why Steve gave the shield to Sam
I’m convinced the reshoots are just another way they can launder more money from these garbage projects. There’s no way on this earth those “movies” cost over 200 million
Cap 4 was entirely reshot creating two different versions of this movie and now still needs reshoots, blowing the budget up to $400M This means Cap 4 will (currently) need $1B - $1.2B to break even… that’s right, not make profit, to get its money back
There is no way I'm wasting my money or time watching this in a theater. It worked great as an animated movie. It's going to suck as a live action movie, regardless of who is in it. I'll pass. Disney, please save your money and send this straight to streaming. Better yet, trash it and claim a tax write off like Warner did with a couple movies recently.
Why Disney continues to reshoot their movies, simple because they continues to make the mistake with castings and listen to the wrong people. Cause more problems then they did before.
Well given that the mulan remake (which actively thanked a Chinese concentration camp in their credits) didn’t kill the live action remake trend, nothing will.
They killed the classics by temaking them with "original pc" ideas. They should have tested those ideas on original stories and characters to see if it hit or not. They went all in and now they literally have to admit it and change before anyone will trust them.
Disney will have 2 massive flops next year. Snow White and Captain Black America. Probably losing at least a billion dollars, and they have nobody to blame but themselves. Go woke, go broke!!
