You wanna hear my cousin's pitch for it? It still has Jane dying at the end and Thor remains Thor, but I think his version manages to rope in Thor, Jane, Gorr and the Guardians into a coherent theme.
Waiting for random people on TH-cam isn't necessary good thing. One person might say it's good, one will say it's bad. It's better to just go see a movie (if even one part of you is interested in seeing it) and form your own opinion, instead of Waiting for someone to do it for you.
Jurassic Park Trailer. You are told that a tycoon has an island, and invites people there to visit the park where dinosaurs live. Simple clues about the film that would be seen at the cinema, no more, no less. Now they don't even know how to make trailers anymore.
A lot of us have learned to see all the trailer tricks and that’s why we don’t trust them. The use of 80s music or some other hype music that’s not in the movie, shots not being in the movie, shots being spliced together to make something look cooler, the characters saying oh yeah or let’s go, the coolest looking things being made to look like they will be very prominent in the movie like suits or characters, the flashing of words on the screen during a few second moments. We have been tricked before and are tired of it. That’s really it. And of course those people that say you shouldn’t solidify your opinion from a trailer that much
A movie that really lived up to the trailer was The Fall Guy. We were sold on a fun, over the top, action comedy with some murder mystery elements and got a fun, over the top, action comedy with some murder mystery elements.
Maybe creators should return to 1800, when movie posters where made before movies😂 Because the guys who make trailer know what sells, and the guys making the movie itself do not
Happened with The Thing in 81. Now that poster ended being very iconic. Also, movie trailers used to show AFTER the movies. It's why they're called trailers.
When could we ever trust trailers? They've always been misleading, missing important stuff etc. Guardians of the Galaxy was marketed as a sci-fi comedy and we got actual emotional story with big stakes. And don't get me started on majority of Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks movies.

I hate that Marvel nowadays just released great trailers but in reality when you see the movie it's awful. Watching movies like Quantumania, Eternals, Thor: Love and Thunder and The Marvel's is such a waste of time. Heck even DC with The Flash movie, seriously the first ever movie of this popular character is a flop.

@TheTrueZenix depends which one. When it came to tone of the story I would say most of them didn't lie. The ones that did was mostly Age of Ultron, and maybe a bit Ant-Man 1 and 3, and maybe Iron Man 3. The rest were pretty accurate to their tones.
@Fantagonistic perhaps. My number one exposure to him is The Unbelievable Gwenpool series but I generally don't think him being comedic is a films fault. By and large, that's good who he is.
@Fantagonistic what about M.O.D.O.K.'s 11? M.O.D.O.K: Assassin? I've never read Head Games but I know that one also features a very comedic take on the character. M.O.D.O.K. is one of the most tonally malleable characters Marvel has and for every book he was portrayed as a serious menace, there's one or even two where he's a comedic villain. I don't know why the internet persists with this criticism as no one has ever explained to me properly why they should use the less popular version of M.O.D.O.K. for the MCU. Granted, I agree with most of the video, but this one take I think is silly. The reason that a large chunk of his serious appearances are limited to his original appearances as you said, is that he did not stick until they leaned into his comedic attributes. Readers did not take him seriously and so he was a nobody until Marvel recognized this. He is hardly unique in this aspect, as Paste Pot Pete and Egghead had a similar trajectory. I hope when Arcade finally hopefully shows up in the MCU's X-Men, people don't complain that MurderWorld is too silly. TL;Dr as a huge fan of M.O.D.O.K., the whole "they made him a comedy character and ruined him!" is a very, very bizarre hill to die on. I still can't imagine what careful selection of comics one must have read to think he's supposed to be serious in any consistent way that matters.
@ It sounds like the types of comics you enjoy that he’s been in lean more comedic. But in his entire comic history he’s almost always portrayed as a serious villain
Honestly I’m probably just gonna see both of these movies ANYWAY. I have literally been WAITING for marvel to make a story about all these anti villains and shit and the cap 4 movie looks insane.
This is the biggest example of editing being much more of an art than people give it credit, people don’t give editors enough credit on how a film is framed. (I even love some of the films you’ve listed as boring, but that still amplifies your point, because that’s perfectly okay, what’s not okay is TRYING TO SELL A FILM AS ONE THING, (probably a more appealing thing for general audiences in the first place too) WHEN ITS A DIFFERENT THING ENTIRELY, GAHH. For me the biggest example of this is She-Hulk, the show captures the tone and feeling of the comics and is a solid adaptation of the character, AND IT FITS FOR A NICHE AUDIENCE, SO DO NOT TRY TO SELL IT FOR ALL AUDIENCES. Giving it such a high budget was stupid as all hell, but give it a low budget and it might have turned out really successfully, like Agatha.
Expectation is the killer of joy in my opinion. It’s what killed legend of korra, and a bunch of new Marvel releases. Yes, Marvel has done some bad movies recently, but End game just raised the bar so high it’s impossible to impress people nowadays. Just watch stuff with zero expectations and you’ll probably enjoy it better.
The QuANTuMANia teaser is my number one trailer of all time- the song has literally been stuck in my head for the last two years. And while the movie was disappointing, the trailer wasn’t lying. A trailer’s is to show people about a movie and get them to watch it. Most trailers- especially Marvel ones- are pretty much always gonna be great, whether or not the actual movies are amazing or Doctor Strange 2. It isn’t lying, it’s just edited very well. No trailer is gonna actually say, “I’m not gonna waste your time, this movie is gonna be underwhelming”. So deceiving, yes. But lying, no. And with no BTS speculation, there’s really no way to tell how a movie is gonna be. Even with speculation it’s hard
(In defense of QuANTuMANia, they had reshoots literally a month before that changed the ending. This probably would’ve been a B-tier movie without them, and I’ve heard they thought it was amazing. Which, I agree that the ending where they all live happily ever after was bad. If that and the whole Janet-“The Conqueror” introduction were fixed, this movie would be as good as Wakanda Forever or First Avenger- really good films that aren’t quite the best)
I mean if they put a depresing about the end of the world of fatasy and hapiness like "goodbye yellow brick road" i think it give away that the mcu wasn't going to be good again
@@JustACactus616ant man 3 was changed due to major leaks right before the movie dropped so its kinda the fans fault like the ending and the whole script was leaked Kang at the end was gonna get out and etc but yk.
I don’t trust the “Cap 4” trailer, which breaks my heart because I really like Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson and thought the chemistry of Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Daniel Bruhl were just enough to overcome the problematic aspects of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. I have a bit more faith in “Thunderbolts” because the I like most of the ensemble cast and trust the MCU has just enough savvy left to understand why “Suicide Squad” was a dud and “The Suicide Squad” was good storytelling and learn from this lesson.
Quantumania dishonesty runs deeper than the trailer, which I think also didn't look good. That movie was a top to bottom crapper. Not only unfinished, it was absolutely substandard. Marvel had lows before but this one's step away from being a Sony Spidermanless universe disaster. Quantumania was the 1st time it felt like Feige and co wanted to sucker the audiences. Glad it backfired, should've backfired more even.
I hate it when the trailer shows you pretty much the whole film plot twists and everything making it pointless to watch the film that's why I dare not watch trailers in case it ruins a good film .but tell me what exactly did you mean by "looks more stupid than the people watching this video" bad trailers is 1 thing but directly insulting your audience is another thing my friend 😤
@@neothedog5769 I didn’t mean you, I meant the guy who was watching a second after you, I swear!! But yeah, ever since Amazing Spider-Man 2 showed the literal last shot of the movie in the trailer I avoid them for movies I’m sure I’m going to see.
oh well in that case you are forgiven😆. I miss the 80s and to some degree the 90s where the theme pop song video was a 5 min trailer for the film 1 of my faves is David Bowies pouring gasoline on fire song for the film cat people the film clips sync really well with the song oh what halcyon days they were 🙂
it is but it does show alot of the film so if the film interests you watch that 1st it's a really good film well worth a watch but with the music video trailer format you can't hear the dialogue so while it might show alot of the film you still don't really have a clue to what's going on unless you watch it you can literally just see it looks good and if it looks good to me I'll give it a go
Well its been like that for ages. A good trailer doesn't mean the movie is good. The problem with movies now is that the theatre experience is very expensive. Back in 80s you can enjoy movies for Php18 and some food drinks for Php40. So it didn't matter if you watched a good or bad movie. Its so cheap you just ignore it. Hollywood should stop producing hundred of millions of movies and stop paying actors too much money.
The problem isn’t the trailers. It’s just that the movies suck. If anything, the people making the trailers should be applauded for being able to make such terrible films look so good.
No matter what mcu geeks and comic book smarks keeps on saying...you cannot convince me that Antman is a bigshot pop culture level known like Captain America, Spiderman and Superman. Antman is a friggin niche just like Khang, dont force these type of characters to people to as if they are mainstream pop culture icons
I’m pretty sure captain American will be bad, I’m not sure for thunderbolts I hope it’s good but as long as they kill of taskmaster so the real taskmaster can replace her I’ll be happy
I avoided all the crap after End Game. I could always tell the minimum effort went in because that's what came before. Mediocre crap that barely had enough brand recognition to just be cool enough to be successful. I mean no one's saying Thor movies are great. Captain America movies were very meh with only slight moments of brilliance that barely raised the bar for good. Then there's Iron Man. Why do people like 2 and 3? They're terrible and boring to watch. I shouldn't be bored during a superhero movie, but then again, their goal was to get it out quickly and not masterfully. I honestly don't see the surprise here.
Watching MCU for so long made me get sick and tired full of hatred towards quips and jokes that are thrown out of place. And I hate the overuse of licensed songs on trailers and films, its saying their their music composer and scorer cannot make good original soundtrack so they went lazy and use an existing song instead
Thunderbolts could be good if they avoid the Suicide Squad mistake of putting them up against a world ending villian. Captain 4 is a nope. How can a regular dude fight a HULK and not die. Yes the shield is fine after red hulk hits it but your arm, shoulder, and many other bone are Fing paste.
are we fr criticizing movies before they even come out? 💀 the ‘MCU fanboy’ to ‘guy with a weirdly personal vendetta against the MCU’ pipeline is real and vicious. people just be saying anything these days. this critique only exists to try to remove hype from the new MCU movies which like why. the MCU didn’t kill your dog. if people are getting hyped because of a good trailer then wait to see if the movies good instead of going “look how they fooled us before! look how they fooled us before!” i expected to see an interesting video about trailers and their role in cinema and how they’ve changed and evolved over years but got a boring video about the mcu
I think neither Thunderbolts nor Brave New World look good. Shit dialogue, shit cinematography for the latter. Bucky using the same move from Captain America 2 is also another form of nostalgia bait. Not hyped.
Moderately entertained at Shang Chi is wild af. So good movie. Also as Kang was so badly done in Antman and Wasp Quantumania that it was the best antman movie. Previous ones were so bad I barely was able to watch them. That one was at least interesting. Black Widow was mediocre but could be worse, it could be antman 1 or 2 lol so at least it was enjoyable. For Thor Love and Thunder... yeah. Absolute garbage of a movie. Not watchable. Eternals. Well, I absolute don't understand the hate. It was good. Not best or anything, but good. I liked it and watched it twice, in cinema first and then at disney. Surely it has flaws but its interesting and enjoyable. And for Dr Strange MoM I don't really understand what you mean by that but I think it was a great movie. Only hated because it didn't stand to people expetations but its your problem not movie itself lol. Adding here xmens fully or any other idea people had was insane to begin with. It was beginning of the multiverse, we were supposed to see it for the first time and see how chaotic it can get, not add everything what fans want from other universes. But again you so wild about Shang Chi. Damn. So invalid opinion.
its been like this for atleast a decade dude lol. i haven't trusted a trailer since 2010 honestly. its easy to see they're all fake and only show the good shit to get you to go and when you see it the part in the trailer isn't even in the movie or its in the movie but its the only good part and the rest is trash lol. none of us should be trusting anything these days. wait until it fully comes out. watch a YT review. decide for yourself. DO NOT listen to trailers or "the experts". they're not experts any fugging more thats for sure
I knew this years ago watch transformers movie bumblebee dancing in building in trailer but in final movie that scene is not in movie and no deleted scene., Comic movies have plot story they don’t it’s always same and predictable with comic movies and plot story ., villian rule destroy world or hero good stop them there’s story and plot with comic movies

@SecretMagician cgi quality isn't the one reason for movies being shit. Tired of seeing people act like that matters, the writing being piss poor and preachy is what dooms these movies
The Iron Man 3 trailer to final movie disappointment still hurts me.
I think the movie trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World perfectly encapsulates the vibe and feel of the movie, and really hypes you up while selling exactly what the movie will be
The trailer for Love and thunder was freaking awesome, with the "child of mine" rock song, it gives the impression that this would be a retrospective movie where it shows how much he misses his family and Loki, and an exploration and celebration of what Thor is, but instead it wasn't really any of that, it was just an half baked movie with Hercules at the end telling you to watch the next one that will probably never happen, while in Ragnarok, it was an end, an heartfelt ending to Thor's home and his people, sure infinity war was next year but this movie made sure this moment you're in right now was as fantastic as it can be before selling us on watching infinity war, Love and thunder however was an half baked movie in every way, it failed at everything it set out to do, why is Jane Foster dead at the end of the movie while Thor's still alive, shouldn't it be the other way around, Thor's the geezer, Jane is still a fledgling, there's a lot more stories to tell with her than with Thor, Thor story's ended, if I get started about that film I'll never stop, it was kind of complete failure, I can pitch a better version of it like that .. but this comment is long enough already...
You wanna hear my cousin's pitch for it? It still has Jane dying at the end and Thor remains Thor, but I think his version manages to rope in Thor, Jane, Gorr and the Guardians into a coherent theme.
That’s exactly what I was thinking 😭😭
I don't trust a single thing until the youtube and audience reviews come out. I control my hype by completely forgetting about the upcoming projects

Waiting for random people on TH-cam isn't necessary good thing. One person might say it's good, one will say it's bad. It's better to just go see a movie (if even one part of you is interested in seeing it) and form your own opinion, instead of Waiting for someone to do it for you.

Lol anyone remember that one dark af Age of Ultron Trailer? Good times.
Jurassic Park Trailer.
You are told that a tycoon has an island, and invites people there to visit the park where dinosaurs live.
Simple clues about the film that would be seen at the cinema, no more, no less.
Now they don't even know how to make trailers anymore.
You should make some DCU videos, especially one about what your excitement is like for Superman!
I’d like to soon!
Multiverse Of Madness definitely tricked everyone for sure with such a well made trailer just for the plot to be mid at best.
Ant Man 3 was a major letdown.
Thor : Love and Thunder is a joke.
The Marvels were not good.
And of course those people that say you shouldn’t solidify your opinion from a trailer that much
Terminator franchise trailers have always been notorious for showing the entire movie in the trailer :/

Maybe creators should return to 1800, when movie posters where made before movies😂
Because the guys who make trailer know what sells, and the guys making the movie itself do not
I do miss older movie posters too, but that’s a whole other topic!
Transformers One was this issue in reverse
Imagine spending money to sabotage your own movie's reputation.
That is basically what Transformers One's marketing was
Your voice kinda reminds me of the movie channel version of Arlo and that's a good thing
Endgame trailers were very bland, given they didn't want to show you anything further than what's in the first 20 minutes if the movie.
Iron Man 3 did not live up to the trailer

I hate that Marvel nowadays just released great trailers but in reality when you see the movie it's awful. Watching movies like Quantumania, Eternals, Thor: Love and Thunder and The Marvel's is such a waste of time. Heck even DC with The Flash movie, seriously the first ever movie of this popular character is a flop.
The trailers being so good just make it hurt so much worse too!
Movies weren't that bad but could've been better
That thumbnail is the perfect example of why im not trusting marvel trailers.
To be fair we shouldn't trust any trailer 100%. They never tell us the whole truth, and honestly they shouldn't, otherwise they might reveal too much
@@ksaweryjanowski827 Yeah but with some marvel trailers its way off the actual tone and theme of the movie.
@ksaweryjanowski827 One thing is a trailer being cryptic and presenting a mystery that you have to see the movie to discover it, and another thing is a trailer *fucking lying to you* and deceiving you to spend your money to find a different thing than what was promised. One is a well-applied marketing tactic, the other one is false advertising *which is a crime*
@TheTrueZenix depends which one. When it came to tone of the story I would say most of them didn't lie. The ones that did was mostly Age of Ultron, and maybe a bit Ant-Man 1 and 3, and maybe Iron Man 3. The rest were pretty accurate to their tones.
@MauZangetsu and which trailer do you feel lied to you and about what specifically?
What comics are people reading that M.O.D.O.K. isnt a joke?
@@mr.iiconic Check out his original appearances, he was monstrous!
@Fantagonistic perhaps. My number one exposure to him is The Unbelievable Gwenpool series but I generally don't think him being comedic is a films fault. By and large, that's good who he is.
@ He’s very different in Gwenpool. But still more accurate than in Quantumania.
Your videos are fire bro

@@Onio_362 That may be why they’re doing soooo many reshoots.
@Fantagonistic better be
This is the biggest example of editing being much more of an art than people give it credit, people don’t give editors enough credit on how a film is framed.
Is that the Elton John one?
The trailer for this isn't even good. People just want it to be good so they trick themselves into thinking that bc they collectively hope so.
@@sahdirellis4901 There is likely an element of that too.
8:14 Hey, I resemble that remark!
Moonknight trailer way better than the actual show
You can't trust trailers because : Trailers promise good films and the Cinema pooped in my face and took my money

@ I’ll have to look that one up, that sounds sweet!
it is but it does show alot of the film so if the film interests you watch that 1st it's a really good film well worth a watch but with the music video trailer format you can't hear the dialogue so while it might show alot of the film you still don't really have a clue to what's going on unless you watch it you can literally just see it looks good and if it looks good to me I'll give it a go
I don’t know the hate with quantumania I personally liked it but the only thing I didn’t like about it is how they treated Kang
Transformers one turned out to be better than the trailer 😊
@@Lilbluepenguin10 Yep, knife cuts both ways
The problem isn’t the trailers. It’s just that the movies suck. If anything, the people making the trailers should be applauded for being able to make such terrible films look so good.
You can't trust Marvel in general anymore. The overall quality of the MCU died with Endgame. The superhero genre is dead after The Batman Saga ends.
Я просто очень хочу верить в громовержцев. Эти ребята (после финала) мои любимые персонажи MCU. Если трейлер не врет, это будет круто
Lol, I saw both trailers, and they look like Hot Trash... My judgment has not let me down yet!!!🤣🤣🤣
Mojang shills after seeing this video (they trust the Minecraft movie now because of the second trailer): 🤬
GOTG3 gave us numerous fake outs
Anyone bothered by the horrible CGI and green screens in all of these trailers?

Ant man 3 was good imo idc Kang was the highlight of the movie and modok is goofy anyways y’all be excepting way too much after endgame
