This is spot on the the character presented in the TV show awesome job. I was wondering if you are thinking of doing olrox at all as I’m hopeing to use him as an NPC in my next campaign.
Thanks so much for the feedback? Do you mean in regards to the actual text of the homebrew items or how they’re presented in the video? 😊 If there’s anything I can work on I will try to!
@@nathrandirsguide I meant both actually, the functional and flavor text really fit, as well as how the things were laid out via paragraphs and blocks. I have a few homebrew items that I've made which I've been reasonably happy with but it is motivating to see someone present things so cleanly. Related to the video, I thought you did really well, it was informative, I was entertained, and I didn't notice any audio problems (if there were problems it didn't detract from the video for me).
@@leslierobinson8724 That's great news about the audio, it was just on my phone. I've got a new mic to step up the quality anyway now! Thank you - it's taken me years to nail the look and language of the items, just studying real items is the best thing you can do!
Like this take. For simplicity i used feats of variant, 4th and 8th lvl to compensate instead of multiclass. Weapon master for variant so im proficient with whip and other common enemy weapons. 4th was martial adept for whip moves (disarm and trip) 8th level magic initiate (sorc shocking grasp, ray of frost, absorb elements) if i get hit with a spell by enemy or teamate i can absorb it with my whip. Which adds a cool rp element to a standard element and 1d6 ontop of everything else.
I would go with Dragon Monk to get your elemental attacks and line/cone blasts, and for the dip, go into War/Twilight/Tempest domain cleric for spells and martial weapon proficiency. Still very thematic without straining your stat spread.
I'd either give Richter one level of fighter for proficiency with the whip and morning star, then go monk for at least five levels and then pick up some sorcerer levels, or choose kensai monk instead of the fighter level. Alternately, you could go paladin of vengeance for the first five levels and then go sorcerer, which is a bit less MAD (multiple-ability dependent). I don't think that one should have to ask their DM to fudge or house rule such a basic part of their character concept.
The word "anime" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in this video. I've also found a bit more synergy with Monster (vampire/undead) Hunter Ranger/Light Cleric for a Richtor build. You'll get all the damage boosts for the whip and ultimately more versatile flame sorceries that also used Wisdom instead of Charisma. You can magic initiate (WIZ) for a couple ice spells if you want. Tbh Richtor isn't very Charismatic. He can be witty, but more often than not he just rubs people the wrong way.
Before watching the video: Trevor was more like a Battlemaster, doing maneuvers with his whip, while Richter mixed magic with his fighting style, maybe a vengeance paladin could work?

Sorry about the audio in this one folks, had technical difficulties!
What did you all think of Castlevania Nocturne though? Sound off below! 🩸

I had no plans to create Olrox just yet but he is awesome! I'll have a think ☺@@robertmillard4154
Love all your Castlevania builds! Especially the Trevor one. You should totally see if you could create a Olrox from Nocturne.
His power level is like, above D&D I think - I did consider it!
Great stuff, I really like the build. Also, your homebrew presentation/formatting was/is on point. Thanks for the post, take care.

Absorb elements could also work for hands So fire and ice fisty cuffs if you got a magic teammate.
That’s great! I considered the same thing but I’m thinking for the future he might be able to do a bit more 🪄. Thanks for the comment!

That’s what this is all about my friend! Hopefully you got some value out of the video regardless, build your own way 😊

Sounds good! That's exactly what these videos are for, inspiration for you to build your own versions of the character and enjoy the game your way :)
I think I’d use dragon monk more so than sun soul cause he does get more elements
I think mentioned I’ll be coming back to it for Season 2 once his powers develop 😊
We’ll see what happens!

Agreed, agreed! 😊
Interesting take. That could definitely work, innate magic driven by his cause/ oath! Fantastic idea.
Can’t access the page :(
What's up, sorry?
There's no restrictions on this video or anything you should be able to access it!
