- August of 1990 McDonald's had a set of toys based Super Mario Bros. 3. Newly releasing at the time, the only toys available were these little McDonald's versions. Did you know there were 5 toys? Most think just 4.

I drove to Toys R Us to buy this with my college buddies when this game came out!
I'm a step younger and got it as a Christmas gift, which is why I wanted to be playing with these toys back then as well.
I have all of these toys, still... EXCEPT for that fifth one! I didn't even know that was a thing until your video! Thank you for this, and for letting me know I need to hunt one down. 😀

Animal Fun Fact: According to some concept art, a fifth toy (not counting the U3 Raccoon Mario) was planned. It was the King Koopa Fireball Blaster. It would have been a figure of King Koopa that could shoot a plastic fireball from its mouth when a button was pressed. Although this toy went unproduced, its concept was revisited with later Bowser Happy Meal toys in 2017 and 2023.
Would have loved that as a kid to have the big baddie King Koopa. The 2017 does look a bit old school even doing the modern Bowser look.

It could be, though there is a lot of "dust" in front of him also making it weirdly unclear.
The paper insert just shows Luigi only and doesn't clarify. It's so big I always saw it as the cloud.
See the thing about the paratroopa is that it's hopping mew tail came separate in the bag, so you probably could've popped it off rather than snipping it with the scissors 💀
I was 4 so I may not have been the one to assemble it to know. And I also think I stole it from my sister. If only I had been informed.... Ah well.

@@Schlelkohov That makes sense now. His little shelf here has no space for the air pump anyway so I won't be too sad it got ruined. These are still so classic and from the time the games were new, very special even snipped!

@@MBXfilms in one of the levels there’s a big ? Block that has a hammer suit inside and if you time it correctly where your sliding and you collect the suit while sliding you will be sliding as hammer Mario for like a split second.
