it's sad that they didn't release a Daisy or a Yoshi Figure for the series it would have been nice to also have bob-omb as an accessory as well

Should've had the President Koopa true form (dinosaurs Tyrannosaurus Rex form).
A Yoshi prototype has now turned up. But it's so small I can't imagine how Ertl were going to issue it. Which may be another reason it was cancelled. It being the size of an accessory does make me believe it could have been intended for a Princess Daisy action figure. Whatever Ertl's plans were for other figures have been lost to time.
That's a surprisingly good Dennis Hopper figure. Sand the hair down, paint it brown and you have a figure of his character in Blue Velevet.
I'd imagine SPEED would have a better chance, with bus playset.

I thought John Leguizamo made Luigi a damn sight more interesting as a little kid myself. Him being younger and much more distinctive in look was a smart idea. I even still dig the Bill S Preston esquire style backwards hat lol

important figures to have for the collection if a Mario fan. You could use one of the Goombas for Koopa's final form, and just make a new coat for the other Goomba, maybe customize the Koopa stand in, add hair, horns and shell. give the look of how he could have looked
I would have loved a de-evolved official Koopa since I always played with this as the game characters more than the movie versions. Hopefully you saw the unreleased Yoshi figure: th-cam.com/video/XNUSTog5hsc/w-d-xo.html
My late Dad bought me these figures as a little kid. I must have been one of about three people on the planet actually loving collecting them because everyone else seemed to be getting Jurassic Park which, to be honest, I didn't think was all that great as a toyline. These were so unique in their time and I thought Ertl did a much better job capturing the actors likeness' over Kenner handling Spielberg's cast. I actually have the police car. Still with it's original box. It shocks me just how rare it really seems to be, barely appearing on eBay. It has a breaking apart body feature that jettisons off the two jail doors and an actual fungus cord stored inside the back of the car with suction cups for hanging off a cliff in the Koopahari Desert lol If you are lucky enough to track one down I doubt you will be disappointed. There are also two giant, talking Mario and Luigi figures that have really great detail for 1993 on the famous stomper boots.

Bob Hoskins was in Unleashed(2005). He used Jet Li as a human attack dog. Li's character becomes friends with a blind piano player played by Morgan Freeman.
Wild one there, he was also ODIN yelling at Loki in "Son of the Mask."

Yes though I usually don't go for the bigger figures, especially with no big Bad Guys to go with them, but the talking part is cool.
NECA should do a modern version of these.
That would be pretty funny to see. Lots of cool accessories possible. Mushroom, Bob-ombs, ect. But I guess people hate on it a lot so I doubt they would want to put in the money for it.

Very true. Fossil dig costume or dress would have been great. Several toy lines around this time are missing the main female character.
@@MBXfilms that true like water world Helen figure and Demolition Man a Sandra bullock figure they didn't make a figure out of them but they made a little megan Fox figure for the transformers movie that come with a bike

The toys still look good to this day. Brings me such nostalgia. I have them stashed up in storage with my ninja Turtle and Power toys. 🥰🥰🥰 I even have my old He-man and Thundercats toys too! 😁😁
I'm all about digging out the old toys here. I have so many line-up to showcase. Always wished I had Thundercats stuff. I think it's pretty pricey to collect these days.
I really liked this movie when I was much younger too. I would love to have the figurines!

That's why I wanted to show these, since it's not going to be the first Mario movie. I imagine a lot was learned from it.

I don’t collect action figures yet I know you’re supposed to open that by running the tip of a cutter alongside the edge of the clear plastic.
When you buy them you can rip them open any way you desire, that's the fun of it! And a bit for show for the video as well.

I think it was just cheaper and easier for the movie if he was just human, and it fits their story of people evolving from reptiles there. His hair is suppose to look kinda Bowser like. And he is decended from T-Rex, which is Bowser like also minus the shell...

The filmmakers concept for the movie (which they talk about in a great documentary found on the Blu Ray) was this strange, live action reality actually inspires the graphic design of the games later on. Which is why Iggy and Spike turn up at what seems to be the Nintendo offices in the hilarious post credit scene. It's a rather clever idea of how to interpret the film and I wish they had put it across a little more strongly.
My mind is activly refusing to accept this movie had a toyline.
It feels like it came out of some mirror universe
That's where I'm from, the scary alternate reality. Truth is I played with these all the time with paper cut outs of Mushrooms and Fire Flowers too.
I love these figures and the movie.

Hey ERLT Toy 🧸 Company should have a female action figure name Princess daisy figure (played by Samantha Mathis) for The Super Mario brothers movie action figures
She really should have got one. In her dig site gear or dress, either way would have been a great addition, but toy companies were scared to include "GIRLS" in their boy toy lines for fear that no one would buy them.
So many great characters left out of movie and cartoon toy lines.

Bought a Mario and Luigi a couple years ago, safely displayed on my shelf so little to no wear and tear, and I'll be getting a Koopa delivered to me within the next week or so.

How good are these guys in terms of scale with Kenner Jurassic Park figures?
They are actually about the same size as the JP Human figures. So, I guess you can use a Small JP Dino and call it Yoshi!

Smart idea, I never had any Jurassic figures, only CONGO which were similar. They are close-ish.
