- Basheer is with our customer Craig, who is collecting his Porsche Cayman 981 S with the PDK transmission.
The Porsche 981 is the internal designation given to the third-generation Boxster and second-generation Cayman models built by German automobile manufacturer Porsche. It was announced on 13 March 2012 at the Geneva Auto Show, and sales will start in early summer 2012.
The 981 reflects the new design language from the 911 (991) and 918 and features revised engine and transmission specifications. The chassis has been revised: it is 40 per cent more torsionally rigid, the front track is 40 mm (1.6 in) wider, the rear track is 18 mm (0.7 in) wider, and the wheelbase has been extended by 60 mm (2.4 in). There is a small weight reduction of up to 35 kg (77 lb) compared to the outgoing 987.

Well done Sir. I have a 981 Cayman S myself and its an absolute joy. I am living a dream. Enjoy.
I’m glad you are enjoying it. Create plenty of memories in it
Me too
4 years in, a 981 cayman and a 981 gt4 and im still in love with these cars. Great choice
You got two great cars there
If I could change anything, it would be adding sport suspension to my S. I love my car, and that’s the only thing I would do differently - however the stock is fine and makes road trips much more enjoyable
Nice Video.....I am getting my 981 glass cover for my 2015 GST this weekend installed. I will keep you posted on sound and heat impact......
That’s awesome. Hope you enjoy the car
If you have a video, please also WhatsApp it to us on +44 7833 788508
@@InvictusMotors Thank you...I just emailed you......
More driving-focused and better-looking than a 911. The Cayman is truly Porsche's driving enthusiast's car.
I bought a 2014 Cayman S (manual) this past Spring and am smitten
Ohh the manual is an absolute joy to drive. We had one in stock and sold within 2 days
Love this Review ....thought it was Steve Davis at first .....I have bought a Porsche Cayman 987s from you a while back..brilliant car...but have been looking at the 981s and it is on my Hit List 👍
Haha glad you are enjoying your car. Keep an eye on our website we get the 981 regularly
Hi Invictus M, your care and attention to your customer has me wishing I could find a dealer in my city with the same philosophy.
I’ve been the navigator with a friend in his 2021 GT3 for our local tarmac rally touring group. I’m now looking to save and get my own Porsche but I definitely want the Cayman 987.2 or 981 (our market and options are limited in Australia) even if I can only afford a baseline they all are a beautiful car to drive. They beat the latest WRX any day(my budget approx)
Thank you very much sir, appreciate it. We try our best and trust me there are still people not happy with our service so it is nice to see when people appreciate it
The base cars are plenty of power and sometimes more enjoyable around town
Lovely cayman and deserving owner
Thanks 😊
The cover is great and in OEM quality...I can email you a photo if you like.......I believe many Cayman 981 owners want one, as access to the engine is time consuming and a bit complicated given the large number of trim pieces to be removed (987 is easier).
That would be great Uwe. Our email address is accounts@invictusmotors.co.uk
i came for a car review, and left with a new outlook on life
Haha I will take that as a compliment ❤️
2:42 spot on!
Steering wheel is on the wrong side
😂 welcome to the UK
