That depends! If I want clean panel lines I varnish first. In this case I want especially the first wash to „eat“ into the acrylic layer to stain it. I want the layers to combine and form natural transitions.
Isn’t it? I don’t know why people limit themselves, except for financial reasons if course. But instead of getting 90 more minis that will stay unpainted like the 400 you already have… get an airbrush or some oils!
Hi. Eine Frage. Wenn du mit Öl blendest oder washst, benutzt du vorher Lack, bzw. Glanzlack zur Versuegelung der Acrylfatben bzw. für einen besseren flow beim washen mit Öl?
@@bear_brush wo wir schon mal dabei sind, welche Kriterien legst du eigentlich für gute Ölfarben zu Grunde? Ich habe welche, komme damit auch zurecht, sind aber Noname. Macht es da wirklich Sinn, mehr Geld auszugeben?

Sehr gute Frage! Für Panel Lining ja, für diese Technik möchte ich, dass sich Öl und Acryl verbinden. Also in diesem Fall nein.
