As an engineer and a painter without much hobby time i really appreciated this. Oil washes over contrast over zenithal is amazing!
i’m just gonna call it
industrial efficiency is going to be the next speedpainting craze
We'll see!
@@CCMinis disagree. I could do them faster by hand.
Crazy awesome job cutting down that time on 100 models! Thanks for the shout out as well, my friend!
Thanks for lighting a fire under me in my discord lol, without that comment I may still be painting these pups
Exceptional painting, writing, filming and editing as usual
Thank you so much!!
You’re very welcome, Gouache Boss
100+ painted orcs deserves one great like mate! +1
Your editing is so slick. Really fun and engaging without being too showy and 'TH-cam creator'. Love it.
Came for the orks, stayed for the bashing of soulless corporate tactics
Really interesting breakdown! If you're going to go to such levels of madness painting minis this is certainly a good way to go about it, great job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very interesting explanation on the study of time and motion and therbligs. Thanks for the information and the great video! I'm subscribing now!
Glad you enjoyed it!
nice video man
Aye thanks Emil, really appreciate it
@@CCMinis🤝
Don’t care if I’m at work I’m watching this
I appreciates you TwinSteel
Therbligs be damned!
I tell you what, that was fascinating! I am a fan of 'process', done well it is transformative! Great results, great video, as usual!
Thanks Wulven! Glad you enjoyed it
You Sir, crack me up. Good work and glad you survived the coporate dive.
Glad ya liked it Mr. Mule
Great editing man! Achieving this amount of work with an entertaining vid is an amazing feat!
Nick you are so nice to listen to, some other TH-camrs are so in you face with this kind of content. Please stay real man.🤗
Thanks, I really appreciate that
Wow, those minis look excellent.
Thanks!
0:53 I still haven't found a replacement glass-ball-of-dakka
Just as Mork (or possibly Gork) intended
🤝
Well done. They look wicked.
ooo the Therbligs! thesis of the Gilbreth marriage :)
Great video brother. Loved it!
Great video man
I'm with you on the Christmas stuff b4 thanksgiving.
That is fast! Grest job man!
I see Orks, I give this a like
Just watched this video today! Now I want to speedpaint my Kommandos for Kill Team.
Yup, excellent as always now I’m going to head down a production improvement rabbit hole
Excellent technique
These look awesome, particularly for the time investment.
A tip for underpainting. When you "mix" (optically using a transparent paint through the airbrush in this case) complementary colors you move closer to a dark. In the case of green, if you were to underpaint in red (it can be dark but you could also experiment with using a mid tone red with the similar zenithal) the shadows end up reading as darker than if you were to underpaint in grey (without needing to do additional green application in the shadows) - they also have more interest than just being the "darker green" you get from using black/grey as the shadow underpaint color.
Tbh this makes the prospect of actually painting my nids seem more doable i might have try this method
I love these guys! Lots of great tips for batch painting, thank you for sharing! And I'm right there with you, hold off until after November. Great video.
Thanks Lofi!
I don’t play warhammer, but I play other tabletop games and I like miniatures.
Malicious minis - big fan of their orks! great job
Thank you! They make great sculpts
I now feel confident enough to paint my boiiiiiz thanks you so much
You're very welcome, best of luck!!
All the techniques in this video are really solid. Definitely a great thing to base your painting plan on. Good luck!
A good job for CC and amazing job.
Thank you!
Good to know that I'm not only one that has done this on a project. One other big time save I did was changing up the order on a few steps which ended up saving hours of time.
Its crazy how much switching the order of steps can cut time
Orktober is only over when da boss says it is! Great work.
That's the fun part, Orktober never really ends
Mixing liquin original into your oil wash mix cuts down the drying time.
I use it regularly when painting models with oils.
Excellent video dude! Really interesting to see how you approach true speed painting and the results are awesome.
Also, I now know about Therbligs. What a day!
PS. I use one of those portable airbrushes too and have found it really useful. I'm surprised you don't see more of them on youtube
Glad you liked it!
Putting the SPEED in Speed Freaks!
Gotta go fast.gif
❤️🥳👍🏿
Great video - just in time for the new codex and me starting a Green Tide detachment. Where are these Ork minis from? I really like the Nob.
Love your videos!!! ❤😊❤
Thanks Cerise!!
@@CCMinis you are welcome 🤗
Very nice results, Yeah I realize I loose a lot of time looking around my mini searching for areas to paint.
I’ve had about 133 various era Warhammer orcs all modified based and zenetholed but I’m to intimidated to start the project yet lol
🤝
🤝
Really dabbling in the dark magicks for this one
I just hope I didn't release something awful on this world
Hey! I love your stuff, this is the first video I've seen from you and I'm already hooked! I'd love to join your discord but the link doesn't seem to be working. Anything working for anyone else?
In the time it takes to paint them using an airbrush, wash out the brush, swap out the paints, I could probably paint them faster using a traditional brush method.
Do it
Hello! I bought a cheap airbrush similar to the one you use but it works no where near as good as that one. Where did you get yours ? Great vid, thank you !
Hey there, this was from Amazon but I don't really recommend it, I've been having intermittent issues with the compressor
Cool 👍
The single greatest reason I subbed to your channel is the fact you wear gloves when painting most of the time. My personal neurotic tendency is the workspace neatness when I paint, from years working as a Chef and wearing gloves is a huge part of that for me. Seeing other channels spray priming, airbrushing and covering their hands with paint makes my eye twitch, let alone how bad for you it is in the long term.
I did this with an all infantry orc army out plain hubris. All variants of brown toned green orcs. no airbrush. I hate painting earth toned anything now.
Loved it. Did you account for time spent putting the orks onto the painting strips?
I'm just gonna assume I've been wiping properly all these years. Filming that and doing a time & motion study is not something I fancy... but, it takes all sorts.
Who knows, you might be able to get consistent 1 wipers
Would you mind throwing up a link of the exact airbrush youre using?
What green was used for the orks in the airbrush?
Half orc skin, half absolution green from army painter speedpaints if I'm remembering correctly
Dam those trays are the wrong size for Star Wars legion miniatures.
Neato
Wow, great jorb! Waaaaagh!
You left out the most important tip - how to survive the psychological pain of painting 100 nearly identical minis. I find painting more than 5 of the same makes me question my life choices. Too bad I like Orks and Nids.
Airbrush idea - you might check out the Badger 250 or 350 for something not made in China that is inexpensive and good for moving a lot of paint or primer.
Good point!
how did you mix your spray mix?
Most of it was just speedpaints from army painter and water
Nifty
WAAAAAAGH !!!!
WAAAAAAAAAAGH indeed
Somehow I wasn’t following you. 🤝 Am now.
What's November 31st?
Great video! As always the greatest enemy in the land- Capitalism 😂
It really has a way of sneaking into everything doesn't it?
He’s falling for the war hammer trap. If you know you know🙁
I'm not in the know, what do you mean?
Things that increase productivity are not bad. Those to people changed the world. For the good. Their efforts probably helped the US win WW2
