Nice job, Tire rack! But i have 2 qustiones. 1 U say that some tires have no imidiate reactions and changing directions delay. But on wheel cam its seen that sidewalls are vertical - it means that they fitted onto narow rims. Dut for sport use people often set wider rims - like 7 or 8JJ instead of 6jj for 195 tires. Also infiniti Q60 has slight stretch in stock and its even seen on photos. Would you test influence of wider rims ? I think there can be interesting features if stretch softsidewall tires (azenis, nferra) and compare with narowrimfitted or/and streched stiffsidewall tire (re 71r) 2 What about testing nankang ns2R in soft and hard compounds. As i understand they are the rival for rs-3 if 140compound and have 0.3-0.5 sec back if 180 compound. And good price.
where was the hankook rs4 , and the some of the other budget tires. I'd love to know which one would last the longest. I want to find a a streetable autocross tire, that I won't have to replace every single year. I started out with just bring what you have. all season, and no tthey are chewed gressed, and I leave black marks just daily driving them. I just hate that I'll have to buy in sets of four (AWD) and find out they will only last a year or two. where does federal 595 rs-rr, firestone firehawk indy 500, hankook evo12 , etc fall inline compared to some of the top tier tires .
The test in this video featured the Falken Azenis RT615K. We haven’t put the new Azenis RT615K+ through our full test regimen yet, but we expect it to make an appearance in the summer of 2018.
So I'm trying to decide between Yokohama A048s and Potenza RE-71R but at this point I'm wondering if the the tire life trade off between the 60 TW tire and the 200 TW tire is worth it. Are the A048s a significant step up from an RE-71R? I understand they're in two different categories but it's a tough decision.
You’re correct - the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R and the Yokohama ADVAN A048 are in different categories, and because of this we have never performed a direct head-to-head comparison. The newest generation of Extreme Performance Summer tires continues to draw closer to the performance levels of Streetable Track & Competition offerings, but they have not yet reached the level of outright performance offered by these more track-focused products. You will receive more mileage from an Extreme Performance Summer tire than a Streetable Track & Competition, but if the lowest dry lap times are the only concern, an Extreme Performance Summer tire won’t quite deliver the way a Streetable Track & Competition tire will.
Tire Rack Interesting, I don't know if I can justify spending an extra $400 for a set of tires that won't last as long if it's not a significant step up.

@tirerack compare the tires to the Toyo R888! Or nito nto1 These are tires I run on my daily driver 800+hp Subaru
you daily drive a NT01? A tire that lasts MAYBE 6k miles? Is your daily drive to the mailbox and back?
Were all these the same exact size
What tire specs do you usually use on these BMW's?
Is the fallen the rt615k or the newer rt615k+

What about the Hankook RS3?
We tested this tire back in 2015 and the results of our test can be found here: www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=202
expected a Yoko to be in the comparison

this white text logo on the side of the tire looks sooo lowkey nasty...
There are a multitude of sizes that the vehicle may need. It would be best if you could contact our sales specialist Archer at 888-428-8355 ext. 4063.
