Thanks for all the info. I was debating on whether I tried the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 instead of the Michelin PS4S, and your video helped me out with my decision. i decided to go for the Continentals on my Lexus IS500, and I think it was a great choice. The grip is outstanding, even in cooler or wet weather, and the steering feels immediate but not darty. I also saved about $200 compared to a set of Michelins, so for me, the ECS02 is highly recommended.

@@tyrereviews For starters, I drive about 240km of dirt road weekly just for shopping and then another 120km to camp and back home. So I do quite a bit of gravel roads mixed of hard crushed rock and soft sandy areas with some mud and grey clay thrown in. Also ran them through winter in Quebec Canada and was I liked running the Toyo AT3 and BFG K02. Currently trying Yokohama g015 (came with the truck) and hated them for winter so I grabbed a set of Nokian LT3. With Nitto Ridge grapplers were probably the best in those conditions but they chipped away fast. My dad runs Cooper Disc AT3 LTX - I had no complaints with them just not aesthetically pleasing for me. General Grabber ATX was meh - really surprised by how similar thread pattern is to K02's. Fabulous content and quality with all your testing. Your tireless (!) dedication helps us make informed purchase decisions on tyres for our cars and SUVs. I know there are many people out there like myself with cars and vans in our fleet, and I would value tyre testing and reviews on van tyres (especially 235/35-16 fitted to my fleet of Ford Transit 350L and Mercedes Sprinter vans). This was a really informative video even if not much has changed. I know I have said it before but we really need a test of both the Hankook iON EVO AS and the summer version on an EV. I am running 235/45/18 Hankook iON EVO AS tires on my 2022 Model 3 Performance and the efficiency on my daily commute is simply astounding when speeds are at a 60 mph average. As speeds increase the wind resistance becomes the only factor that matters. However, there is road construction on my commute so speeds are limited and that is where the Hankook efficiency advantage shines. I can easily do 220 wh/mi or less with a 50-60 mph average speed. I also drag race my Model 3 Performance on all season tires and I have seen almost no performance loss at all over the Pirelli PZ4 and Michelin PS4S tires I had before. This is only straight line acceleration so the tires don’t matter as much with AWD but these tires seem to do just fine at the Dragstrip. On a road course is where I would expect them to lag behind the better summer tires. That is why we definitely need to see you test them. If you need any help with acquiring the EV or the tires or anything let me know. I would be happy to help.
Thanks, I'm currently planning a few different EV tests so hopefully one of those will cover your needs. Also if you haven't already get your thoughts on www.tyrereviews.com

Bought a set of kinergy 4s2 6'000km ago. The noise they made within the first 1000km was insane. They still roll a bit like if I had worn wheel bearings, but it became much better I‘m a very big fan of the SC7 on the Coupe and Suv!

As an endurance racer in the US in a 200TW series, very interested in tire wear, laptime fall off, and subjective change in performance (getting greasy feeling, for example)! Thanks for the bad ass channel, keep it up!
You REALLY need to do more Yokohama. For 200tw you should compare the Yokohama AD09, A052, Bridgestone RE71-RS, Nankang CR-S. These are the kings at the track at the moment everywhere.
Great content! Love your videos and the knowledge you provide. One thing I can tell you I am looking forward to putting my summer Tires back on my car in a few weeks. As much as I like the Michelin crossclimate 2 there's nothing like a summer Tire. Unfortunately here in Indiana we had no snow so I was not able to test the michelin's out. I have been an Enthusiast about tires since 1994 when I put my first set of Bridgestone Blizzak tires on a 1993 Plymouth Sundance Duster. Small car with a heavy V6 up front I could go anywhere. There were really no all-wheel drive vehicles just pickups with four-wheel drive. I'll remember the countless people I surprised by the way I was able to maneuver around them and they had such a puzzled look on their face. It wasn't unusual to have 12 to 18 inches of snow in Rhode Island so every time it snowed I headed out and had a blast. No one ever heard of a winter tire they just called them snow tires but not like these bridgestone's. People would ask me about them and go out and purchase them the next day. I like to mention tires to people but as you know some just don't care lol! Take care
@tyrereviews no need to apologise for the industry being slow at the moment - as usual you did a brilliant job and still managed to give us the answers to our questions: the best tyres for 2024. 🙌
Currently running the Falken AT4W. Had them for 4 months and I have logged a little over 12k miles on them, I work as a contractor and travel a lot. Pros: Great tire on road and off, I live out in the country and they work great off the pavement. Snow and wet performance are amazing. Ride comfort is pretty good. Quite quiet on the highway too. Cons: These tires are heavy, I can immediately tell the steering was more sluggish right after I have them mounted. A small hit of mpg compared to other AT tires. I also see signs of dry rot despite only have them on for 4 months. Manufacture date is 42 week of 2023. Overall, an amazing tire. But I do find myself wanting a more road biased AT tires.
Watching your videos has made me more interested in automobiles and driving. I recently bought a 2019 Camry LE that is a good vehicle but I hear not exactly a driver’s car so I’m sort of regretting that part of it. It also came with something called GeoDrive tires which is I assume a cheap dealership tire. I really like the white GTI you have driven. I’ve always thought tires were cool and your channel makes them even more so. Great videos!
Just got got a new set of the pirelli p zero as 3 plus based on your reviews. So far so good a lot better than the Dunlop sp sport 5000 I had on before.
I love your channel and the way you describe the differences between each tyre! Btw., a tyre test including the Falken RS820, Vredestein Ultrac Pro and Toyo Proxes Sport 2 would be highly appreciated 🙂
My fav all seaons : Goodyear vector 4 gen 3. Ran 70.000km on them before they became old but still good to go. Got one tire totally ripped by a piece of metal on the highway, i drove at 120kmh for 500 meters on a totally flat tire without much problem in the stability and steering. I climb coast in the snow and got very good grip in summer and drive under the belgian rain on the highway like its dry. Excellent tires, i bought a new set today
@@tyrereviews If I may shorten your conclusion: Nothing has changed since the last video. And I've watched them all. As always, I will trust your conclusion and will have the Conti Premium Contact 7 fitted to an Audi A5 Cabrio. That worked brilliantly when I last bought my summer wheels around 2014? (Conti PC 5) and winter wheels in 2023. I probably wouldn't have been able to tell the difference as well as you did anyway, but buying the best for yourself gives a better feeling. And I'm very grateful to you for that!
I would love to see a RT tyre test in the same format that you did the AT test in, there are quite a few tyres in that category now that have recently come out, the Baja Boss and the Duratac to name a couple
Understand the lack of New Tires this season - but THANKS for the special attention for tires Available in the US vs EU/ROW. @@tyrereviews the KO2s are known to be bad in the rain and are mediocre in the snow. they do alright off road, but compared to newer offerings, they were not very good. and the KO3 isn't really different and performs about the same from what I have seen so far.
Interesting! I've not tested the k02 in wet but if it's anything like the Trail Terrain I expect it won't be the best. First of all, great video! As others have pointed out, your content is one of the best sources online when doing a research on tyres. One suggestion: Can you do a review on Continental Ultracontact NXT, which is a truly interesting tyre since it’s the first sustainability focused tyre, and there are absolutely no reviews done on it yet. So you’d be the first to do so. I looked into it since I need a 235/45/R20 summer tyre for my PHEV SUV, and my options are quite limited. I’m in between the Michelin Primacy 4 Plus, Continental UC 6, and this one: Continental UC NXT. Keep up the good work, we truly appreciate it!
My opinion after fitting them on a 320d: won't buy them again. Lots of rear wheel spinning under hard acceleration under hot summer conditions, not excelent tyre wear. I will go back to Contipremium Contact, no reason to save money on tyres.
Great video as always, even though I'm not currently looking for new tyres at the minute, its always good to keep an eye on what might be coming. Forgive me if I've missed it but have you ever done a review on tyres for a slightly older/modern classic based car? Something good but sporty, in the 15/16" size ranges. I have a 1992 205 Gti, and I'd love to see what might be a good tyre for something like that.
Good to see that you are so up to date with tyre reviews. But the only tyre I want is the Michelin All season PS4S for my BMW. Unfortunately they don’t sell them in the uk and I think that is a real shame. Unless you know something different. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your work as always! Love your videos! Some time ago (In fact must be more than a year now) Me and some other people asked you for a comparison for old vs. new tires. Or oldest still in production vs. new. To see what the years of research brought us :) Back then you said something like this will come "soon" Is this something still in the making? :)
You want to hear about the Bridgestone Potenza Sport AS. I was stupid enough to put these tires on a 2024 Kia Carnival. My goal was to have better rain tires that don't cost a arm and a leg. It's a little louder compared to OE tire but better than what I was expecting. Kids didn't complain. It's bumpier on some roads and smoother on others. The van listens to me now. It goes where I want it to go. Responsive steering. On the rain, it seems to deliver(Cannot tell if it's better that other tires). Tried in big rain on highway but cannot tell where the limit was. Other cars were too slow. The van didn't go sideways like OE tires.
A bit of a dead period for tyres yes. But I'd still love to see some more of the Sportcontact7 vs its rivals on a front wheel drive hatch. I have a 2.0 Seat Leon Fr with the common 225/40/18 fitment. Its hard to translate how your Supra video might compare to my own vehicle. Nonetheless, keep the good content coming. Awesome channel 🙌🏻
Hi! Love your tests. Would be intersting to test same tyre brand and model but different tyre size to see behavior change. Exemple 225/35/20 vs 225/40/19 vs 225/45/18 vs 225/50/17 vs 225/55/16.
Great video! Is there any chance of getting any reviews for the firestone firehawk sport? It seems like it is flying under the radar but looks really promising at least on paper taking into account the price.
Love your well informed and expert videos sir - have made decisions based upon your work. One small suggestion - I think you could do with a better microphone as sometimes hard to make out what you're saying. Thanks very much
Always great content Jon - I'm interested to try the new Vredestein, I really liked the Sessanta and the Vorti, except than the "heavy" feeling and notable reduction in economy, excellent for track
I've been rocking a (relatively) new Firestone Firehawk Sport for the past couple of weeks, compared to my previous PremiumContact6s they've been a pleasant surprise for me, both price and performance wise. Probably not the best in flat out performance, but might be up there in "price to performance" list :)
While these tires aren't brand new for 2024 I can give you good feedback on them for almost 2 years real world driving. The Pirelli P7 Cinturato All Season Plus 2. They are very smooth and quiet running and the air pressure doesn't change much unlike my previous Michelin Primacy MXV4 that always required a trip to the air station any time the weather suddenly changed. As far as I can tell the performance is equal to the Michelin Primacy but they run much smoother and much more quiet. The longterm durability is the only thing left to determine. The Primacy might have been slightly better on wet roads but it's only a marginal difference if any.
Waiting for that EV summer tire test 15. April is when summer tire season starts in Europe so in one month I need to buy new EV summer tires. Still can’t decide for my Tesla Model 3 should I go for Michelin PS4 that came with the car or new Hankook Eon EVO
@@tyrereviews that’s a bit late, but I appreciate the response. Thanks for all the good work. Really helped understanding tire technology and helped with choosing the right tire in the past.

I put vredestein tires on my 550 m sport. Much improved over the pirelli tires that came on the car.. and got the for a killer deal online for about $800 less for all 4 tires than pirelli's
I always watch your videos (great content, super informative!) before making any tire buying decisions for my car (and my family), BUT I am also a small business owner and wonder if I am the only one who would like to see some tests of C tires for vans (for example the affordable Citroen Jumper/Peugeot Boxer/Fiat Ducato with 116/114R load rating)? At least just a "simple" dry/wet braking performance, since we often carry a heavy load and safety is a high priority. The one test I did find was from ADAC in 2019 and for lighter vans (some different tire models), but many of the tires had serious problems with wet braking - even premium Michelin Agilis... I feel like more tests would "force" manufacturers to do better.

Would love to see a test for current "R comps" (at least that's what we call them in the USA), like the Goodyear 3R, Pirelli Trofeo R, etc, and comparing those to the best 200tw road tires. Treaded R comps are the sweet spot for drive-to-the-track track cars that don't see much other road use and who want to go faster than 200tw but aren't ready to trailer their car yet.
Great idea, I'll do that with the m3. I'm guessing wear is where the sub 200tw will struggle.
Just ordered a set of Michelin PSAS4's yesterday, glad to hear they're still good.
Let me know how you find them!
@tyrereviews will do! Have been using studded nokian hakkapeliitta 10 SUV's all winter, and they're excellent! I drive a grand marquis, so I find that suv tires are better for the body roll. Cheers!
Been on the Michelin PSAS4's for id say 10,000+ miles now. Great tire I definitely feel road bumps more though. They are great in the rain.
@benedict4998 not too worried about the bumpiness, what's the car/size you're running, and how's the treadwear? I have no issues buying a set of tires every 2 years, just curious what to expect.
Can't wait for the track tyre review 😄 !
I'm excited for some fun testing!
@@tyrereviewsinterested in any mods you put on the F80. On our F87, it seems like the stock size RE-71RS tires in their staggered setup overwhelm the suspension and camber, and scrb/understeer hard. A lot of people seem to run a square setup on this chassis for both better tire balance and ease of tire rotation. Is this something you'll do?
mine is currently stock, other than brakes and pads. I ran a 275/35 R18 square and the front axle was fantastic compared to stock sizes, but on stock suspension the outer shoulder takes a beating@@justinbecker4772
Glad you like them, please stick a review on www.tire-reviews.com/submit.htm?match=Continental-ExtremeContact-Sport-02---Tire-reviews-and-ratings sometime as I need reviews for this tire

Hey, thanks for the update! Based on a previous review, when you tested tires in a Raptor, we bought a set of Firestones replacing K02s on our Hummer H3. Thanks for the great videos that take a lot of the struggle out of choosing tyres. I always check out new videos just to keep informed, and they're invaluable when it comes time for new shoes.
Some nice choices there :)
I'm a U.S. fan. Based on your reviews, I settled on the Bridgestone Destination A/T2 all terrains for my 2-wheel drive, midsize pickup truck. They are very quiet and comfortable at highways speeds and also have great traction on jobsites. I bought them at a great price at my local Costco.

I liked running the Toyo AT3 and BFG K02.

Somehow for me it always comes down to Hankook, winter or summer tyres, price/performance ratio is just superb, considering you live in EU.
Thank you for the work you do, we who are track savvy and loves performance, thank you for making it easy for us to research on tyres.
Thank you for your in depth reviews, I decided to try out the new Bridgestone Potenza Sport AS tires on my VW Jetta and my take is they are so awesome! They are a solid summer tire on dry roads & Drive with ultra strong road grip and traction, I love em! I have to recommend them!
I bought myself 4 Toyo Proxes Comforts, very pleased so far, good tire especially for the price!
Glad you like them!
Thanks in ad’van’ce.
There will be a few van tests going on the website in the coming weeks, not my work but good data points from the germans

Excited to hear it
This was a really informative video even if not much has changed.

Bought a set of kinergy 4s2 based on your testing and been loving it so far. Haven't had much of a snowy winter, but definitely a lot of rain and it has never failed me, even during abs braking avoiding deer. They have a resonance at 127kmh gps, so its perfect as a audible speed warning haha

You REALLY need to do more Yokohama. For 200tw you should compare the Yokohama AD09, A052, Bridgestone RE71-RS, Nankang CR-S. These are the kings at the track at the moment everywhere.
nankang is shit dude, only good for burnouts..
@@JuddGV5 Their motorsport tires are not bad depending on temperatures. Currently I would say the RE71-RS is the king.

The Michelin cross climate 2s are absolutely amazing on my ford Ecosport. Here in Michigan there were desperately needed this past winter!
how'd you find them in ice?
Watching your videos has made me more interested in automobiles and driving. I recently bought a 2019 Camry LE that is a good vehicle but I hear not exactly a driver’s car so I’m sort of regretting that part of it. It also came with something called GeoDrive tires which is I assume a cheap dealership tire. I really like the white GTI you have driven. I think the KO3 will disappoint you. And when you test it against the AT4W, can you please get a Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT also? And people will also want the Toyo Open Country AT3. Keep up the good work and looking forward to it!
Why do you think they'll disappoint me?
@@tyrereviews the KO2s are known to be bad in the rain and are mediocre in the snow. they do alright off road, but compared to newer offerings, they were not very good. and the KO3 isn't really different and performs about the same from what I have seen so far.

Always great content Jon -
I'm interested to try the new Vredestein, I really liked the Sessanta and the Vorti, except than the "heavy" feeling and notable reduction in economy, excellent for track
Subscribing for the EV Tire Video. Look forward to it!

Though I wish my PS-S4 (Non-DT-1s & USA market) didn't understeer this much, I am still happy with them.
Yeah that is an issue with them
Good timing. Mine are now at the end of their life.
