Very nice! Would be awesome if you would install one of those brush stickers they use for windows under the back of the top glass to avoid bringing dust inside of the tank. It would bash the dust to the back every time you open the lid.
On your old lid you put the handle on the wrong glass it is supposed to ge put on the smaller pane. When you need to access your tank for intesive maintenance, just remove the lid completely.
With the center hinge removed the glass pieces should have a gap. In your video the two pieces now overlap. How did that happen? The rear strip remains the same. I like the idea but would like to know how to grow my glass to overlap like yours does
That really is a great idea and I like it a lot I have the same tank and Lids but you really should have put the handles on the smaller side it works much better that way
Great idea. My 125 has the same type of glass lid. I have floating plants and slow swimming goldfish now, but that looks like a great upgrade should I need to use the lid again.
Thank you for sharing. One suggestion is to go to Home Depot near the gutter guard area. They have glass prices for sale of different sizes. If you’re comfortable, cut them to size. That also works wonders and more importantly, it’s super inexpensive (
I purchased it at HomeDepot. Here is the link: www.homedepot.com/p/Stabilit-852-1-2-in-x-3-4-in-x-96-in-PVC-Composite-White-Outside-Corner-Molding-HDPVC477012/321338691
Rewatched the video and caught the description note and Found it at Home Depot, thanks.
Fantastic!

That's a great idea! I’ll try it and see if I like it. Thanks for the idea and watching my video.

Yeah looks like that was some fresh cut glass in the video.

Great idea, thanks for the share! Just wish the video had demonstrated the removal of the bar plus the build.

Great design. It doesn't work on the 20 gallon lid however. The gap between the rim and the glass isnt big enough for it to sit in

Aaah finally 😊
Nice!! 👍🏾 👍🏾
Sweet 😊
Hey great idea. Can you send me a link as to where you got the pvc molding and item #. Can’t find it at Lowe’s or Menards.
I purchased it at HomeDepot. Here is the link:

How did you remove the black trim/connectors from the glass panels? I’m having trouble getting the panels separated.
I honestly just separated it using brute force. It was a bit tough to remove but was able to get it off without damaging anything. Good luck!
So the front section of glass now has to be larger it appears.
THANK YOU lol
