This is my first time coming across your channel and gosh! at 00:32 ! I recognize melbourne when i see it! I actually used to live in that exact apartment to the left on Franklin St and do most of my groceries in Queen Vic market! Lived melbourne for almost 6 years for uni and work. Brings back so much memories both bitter and sweet 😢 melbourne will always have a place in my heart ❤ im subscribing for that, thank you!
Felt like I was learning English all over again at the shopping sequence haha, so many words I've never heard before - but it all makes a lot of sense when you get to assembly. I'll be using this to adapt a tank into a tarantula enclosure, thank you very much!
new lid looks great. cutting at 45 degree is a good tip, I should re-do mine. Other option is you can also get cheap plastic internal clips to hold a lid inside the tank if you don't want it sitting on top :)
Im planning on doing the same for my firefish tank, but I feel the net holes / squares are to big for them, did it actually worked at preventing yours from jumping out of the tank?
Finally the latest one. so much joy. Anyway if it possible could I see you buy and pet "Balloon Lumpfish". they are the cutest ever. thank you for the videos. keep going I'm waiting for the next video @_@
Hey mate I'm from Australia too, Point Cook to be precisely. May I ask where did you find the mangrove plant as I am looking at Nature Aquarium and Water garden and some other stores but no luck.
I have a question, I hope you, or one of your watchers can help me. I had green hair algae in my 75gal saltwater aquarium. I have pulled all rocks out. I have scrubbed them clean. I have washed them in water and bleach bath (4water to 1 bleach) soaked them in fresh water/bleach for 8 hours, turning and shaking until no more bubbles released. Rinsed each individually the same turn and shake method with fresh tap water. After rinsing, I left them to dry for 24 hours, then set them all out and washed with my pressure washer. Resoaked in fresh water for another 12 hours and now they are left out to dry. When should they be safe to outback un my tank? Should I soak then in a brine solution? Plain water? If so…how long do I soak before they won’t bea hazard? Thanks.
im trying to figure out how to set up my mesh lid when i have submersed plants growing out of the corner of my tank... i can cut a hole in the mesh and stick the plants through, but what happens when i need to remove the lid? it'll be stuck on because of the plants. how am i supposed to have just one chunk taken out of the lid?
Hey I remember in a video you said what drip acc tool you are using, can you tell me? Also what coral dip? I enjoy the vids just cant be stuffed going through them all! Cheers!
great idea thank you for sharing the only thing I changed was I used 5mm bird netting from bunnings a 2.5m by 2.5m roll was $7.20 its uv stable and translucent white so should do the job. I have a lot over for the next tanks
Great video, thanks! I want to do this but am a bit daunted by the fact that I have a HOB... Maybe i will switch to a sponge filter and then attempt this.. I see that your light is hanging. Any idea how these would work with something like a NICREW/Fluval/Stingray light?? [I have been wanting to upgrade from the hood light the tank came with for some time now.] **20G hybrid Walstad freshwater tank
I know this is abit out of the topic but, how is the relationship of your firefish with your pseudochromis? I have an Cardinal Pijama and a Fridmani and they get a long well but I would like to bring a new member to the tank... maybe it could be a firefish but I'm kind affraid...
You made a mistake in the mesh that I did and learned the hard way. 6mm and 1/4" mesh is too big and won't keep gobies, firefish and other small fish in. You need 1/8" or 3mm mesh. Like I said learned the hard way and was shocked they made it through.
I guess it depends on how big the firefish is. Mine is quite big and I don't think they can pass through. It was the smallest mesh available at the time as well. I hope they won't get through
@@BlueReefTank I thought the same thing. Then I lost two firefish and one goby. One firefish died stuck in the mesh. No clue how it fit in. That's when I changed to the smaller mesh. Hope you have better luck.
I learned this same lesson, but with my ribbon eel. In front of my eyes it popped through the ¼" mesh. I ended up having to buy the ⅛" mesh from BRS and have it shipped to Canada where I am.
This dude cures my OCD. 👍
😂😂😂

This looks awesome! Great thinkin'

That's exactly what i did today !! from bunnings ! Thumbs Up

That's a great idea!
I did that with a top on my Waterbox 20 and the water would wick up the clips and drip down the side of the tank. ??
Great video Mr Blue Reef Tank frend! 🥰🐶👊
Thanks Jake 😁
I am doing this but putting it on the inside using metal clips. Thanx for the video.
Great project, thanks for sharing! I cant believe all your shirts are not white wrinkly button ups!! New shirt reveal
Good one 😂
Awesome! Thank you 🙏🏾
Real nice job! 😉
5:15 Nice 😁👍🏻
When’s they next video ? I can’t wait so relaxing and inspiring. Can we get a copepod update or a how to guide
Im planning on doing the same for my firefish tank, but I feel the net holes / squares are to big for them, did it actually worked at preventing yours from jumping out of the tank?
hey,a pair of goby and pistol shrimp might be a nice addition to the tank.
Looks great and at a good price
Would love to see more vids! :)
More to come Lachlan!
Finally the latest one. so much joy.

thank you for the videos. keep going I'm waiting for the next video @_@
Awesome 👏🏼
Thanks 😁
I like it a lot, very cool...
But.......
I would have if possible do a clear frame.....
But that's just me....👍🏴
Good job 😍
Thanks 😆
Nice video as always 😉
Thanks mate!
i need more videooos! :D
Kanka çok iyi görünüyor be!
What did you use besides scissors to cut it?
Hey mate I'm from Australia too, Point Cook to be precisely. May I ask where did you find the mangrove plant as I am looking at Nature Aquarium and Water garden and some other stores but no luck.
I got them from ebay and it's shipped from the UK
@@BlueReefTank Is there any import restrictions on plants?
Polycarbonate sheet cut to size. Tape edges and put a stick on hook as a handle. £2.20 each 😎
the title should say under " 50$" not 25$, the screen was 25$ alone.....clickbait
I loved❤
what company do you have sand, tell me what you are doing that it is so clean, please

Hello! Can you please tell me how you fixed the mangroves inside the aquarium? Please, can I see photos of how they are planted?)

Is there a way to make this work with spaces for intake and outtake lines and fans etc
How did you place mangrove on your WB?
I just placed it in the back chamber and it's resting on my bio media
Hey I remember in a video you said what drip acc tool you are using, can you tell me? Also what coral dip? I enjoy the vids just cant be stuffed going through them all! Cheers!
Hi Steve, the drip acclimation tool is called the Accudrip from Innovative Marine. The coral dip that I normally use is the Revive coral dip 🙂
@@BlueReefTank Awesome thanks!
What i can do to stop vinegar flies from stay away by phytoplancton ?
Was that the waterbox 20 tank?
I have an acrylic sheet as a lid and wonder if I lose some of the strength of my light because of it. This might be a better option.
I had a glass lid on my IM Nuvo 16 and it definitely block some light once the dust accumulates on top
@@BlueReefTank do you have pets at all? I worry about the dog hair at my place getting into the tank.
As always, beautiful video

How big are the holes? Are they small enough so fish can't jump through? Thinking of getting the same netting
@@Wraxieus my tank is setup for fresh water i had an issue with guppie size fish jumping out now i have no problem
It would be a huge favor if you could link the components! I'm trying to make one myself right now!
What if you wanted to add a spot for a light fixture?
Would be great if you could get plastic frame.
New video soon frend? I need blue reef tank fix! 😉🥰🐶❤️🍻👊
Hey would I please be able to buy some of the red macro algae from you? It’s sold out everywhere online in Australia at the moment
Hi, I also owned a Waterbox cube 20 salt water tank. Just would like to ask how frequent do you change the filter
Sock of your tank?
He does it weekly i am pretty sure. He has a few videos of his weekly maintenance.
what if you have a filter on the side of ur tank?😅
You could have used a single piece of rubber for spline the less cuts the better it holds
we have none of these things in our harware stores in italy😞
Great video, thanks!

What blade did you use to cut the aluminum
Any hack saw blade would work as aluminum is very thin metal. Get one for steel and it will cut it easier.
Nice video! I have found that using black tool instead of clear mesh looks better and there's no chance that the fire fish can jump through.
using black tool?? explain please
I think they mean tulle. It's a type of fabric.
I know this is abit out of the topic but, how is the relationship of your firefish with your pseudochromis? I have an Cardinal Pijama and a Fridmani and they get a long well but I would like to bring a new member to the tank... maybe it could be a firefish but I'm kind affraid...
My pseudochromis bullied my firefish from time to time. They aren't that compatible unfortunately unless they are in a bigger tank
@@BlueReefTank ahh I thought so :(, appreciate the quick reply, have a great week!
Almost made a hole in your hand on minute 1:52 ouch!
Do you still use this lid today? How's it holding up?
Где же ты? Почему пропал?
no need to cut spline into 4 different pieces
