I think this is a story about a D-class that was working with a Fey anomaly. It took a liking to her, and began using her to enact its own plan. The Foundation eventually caught on and began sending MTF agents to terminate her. I think the anomaly the began regularly spawning a guardian of sorts that kept using bodies, and other "coats", to live in while it was defending the D-class while she transported the anomaly where it wanted to go. After reaching their destination, the anomaly consumed Amitha making her new life as part of its "collective". I think the anomaly is a Sidhé because of the seven fingered hands, referring to warriors as hounds (I'm guessing a reference to Cu Cullen), and the guardian referring to killing Amitha as "taking her name and face", all the references ro cold iron (their weakness), and I think even a reference to the metal ingots made out of the Sidhé from SCP-6800. In addition, the Department of Anomalies is heavily linked to the Sidhé by the Project Paragon canon, and that's where it seems this anomaly was held prior to the events in the story. I think all of this points to this being a story about some Sidhé-nanigans in which a D-class gets to become the leader of a fey gestalt consciousness that may or may not be the tooth fairy
As soon as it mentioned stealing names I had a funny feeling it had to be something to do with the Sidhè. This explanation seems to make the most sense to me. Also, Sidhè-nanigans has me laughing. Best Fae pun I've ever read.
I love how William Gibson says SLAMHOUND literally 1 time in 1986 and this SCP author is just like yeah that's metal as fuck we're just gonna use that a whole bunch. And he's right, it is
I dunno, there's clearly a coherent story here. It's just that the narrator frequently uses very particular, poetic jargon that gives it sort of a dream-logic type feel. I think I can probably figure it out if I take a crack at it when I'm less tired.
@@termy3934 So, before we get into the narrative, let me just point some things out. The Object Class says [Data Expunged] with a note saying: "Recovery ongoing." Both of those are really weird, and combined they are _super_ weird. The former implies this SCP does have an object class but that it's classified to the point where where it's straight up stricken from the record. I'm not sure but I don't think I've ever seen this done with any other SCP. Sensitive data gets expunged all the time but it makes no sense to censor the object class. The latter suggests that this SCP is uncontained, except that isn't the case since it's clearly stated that they have it at Site-19. Also, it "undergoing recovery" should have nothing to do with the object class. _Unless..._ it is the object class _itself_ - or more accurately, the data concerning it - that's undergoing recovery? Like, they can't classify it because of some metaphysical shenanigans, and they're working on fixing that? This SCP does seem to be related to the fairies, who tend to do stuff like that. (Stealing names and so on.) Usually when data is expunged the implication is that the Foundation removed the information on purpose, but perhaps in this case someone else did it? So, basically, whatever is in that box seems to be actively messing with the Foundation's understanding of what it is.
@@termy3934 Further things to point out: The containment procedures say that 7660's viewpoint should not be looked through (suggesting this is a security risk) unless the individual doing so is _specifically_ blindfolded, wearing a light brown European military-style greatcoat, possessing "a third, translucent-blue seven-fingered and seven-jointed human hand" poking from a seam in the coat stitching, and "exactly 34 canines." Seriously. The guards are instructed to allow anyone matching that _precise_ description to visit 7660. Anyone else who attempts to do so is to be "met with lethal retaliation." As in, not detained and questioned but straight up _shot on sight._ This suggests that the protagonist of the narrative related in this article (who should technically be an SPC by itself) may in fact still be active and allowed to interact with 7660 with the Foundation's blessing, and also that the Foundation is extremely concerned about preventing anyone else from doing so. This is actually quite unusual for the SCP Foundation: It doesn't match their normal procedures at all, and is in fact sorta the _opposite_ of how they'd usually do things. I'm currently not sure what any of this means, but we should definitely keep it in mind going forward.
Can we talk about how he used THE Dammerung scp as a weapon. Also the coat sounds like the coat of many arms which belonged to the administrator before relinquishing it for containment.
Amitha is caught in some kind of time loop. She is both a foundation doctor and a spirit which is one of two enties living inside the box. The second entity is some kind of fey being made up of a coat full of hands. Spirit-Amitha has found some way to trancend life and death: she exists in an in-between state. For some reason the fey see this as a threat. The slam hounds are fey assasins, which is why they are described as being vulnerable to iron, and why the slam hounds with iron muzzles are seen a seen as an indicator of desparation. The narrator is a sort of gestalt, formed between coat-hands, and a human woman. Coat-Hands, Narrator, and human-Amitha are guided by Spirit Amitha to carry out some sort of project, which ends with narrator being killed, human-Amitha becoming the new spirit-Amitha, and be box being discovered by the foundation outside of Site-19, starting the loop over again.
@@rurtrd6286 at the beginning it is giving the coat so it was not originally a part of him this entity put it on the coat of many hands was originally owned by the administrator he surrendered it into containment the administrator had many early scp that were owned by them

My interpretation is that either our character was her lover before becoming part of the SCP or she slowly fell in love with our character over time. My interpretation of the SCP itself was that it was a SCP the Foundation controlled that allowed them to prevent full on death of otherwise more useful subjects that they could use much like we see in the article (guard duty). Wasn't a mysterious crate with a viewing-port alo referenced in the SCP 3790 article about the department of anomalies? Also not 100% sure, but to me this sounds like a situation where people get overtaken or swapped out for fae through a combination of the usual name-magic and some other magical practice / school due to some interdimensional situation (the whole 'I'm the pipes between realities and at some point they used to have an immune-system) - also the 'Amitha's personality overtook the previous overseer' bit makes me think we have another 'foundation tired utilizing powers they don't quite understand to contain something and end up creating a bigger anomaly' situation - maybe they bound some sort of fae-creature to high ranking foundation-scientists as a sort of security-system but one of those scientists (Amitha) at some point did something, that got her demoted to D-class? (Maybe royally mess up with some fae-related SCP and getting curese?)
Thrilled to see a reading of this and even more thrilled to see all the interpretations readers have! It’s exciting to see everything that’s been picked up on and fun to see where viewers readings’ differ from my own
so a human was made into a human guard dog hybrid super solider, and told to protect this woman (seemingly GOC) from slam dogs (MTF agents?) and put their remains into a container which eats the body parts and can communicate with the dog man. that's about all I got from this.
This is my favourite of the alphabets so far. Just so stunningly well written and so evocative as you say. Kudos to the author and you for the brilliant reading.
I was listening to the playlist as I fell asleep last night and woke up halfway through this. I thought my brain had sleep fog, but it just got weirder as I woke up more. Questions is the perfect name for this.
my interpretation , purely based on the story. is that the 2 characters were trapped filling out some existential role in the universe, fighting off some kind of universal threat only visible to them, with the protagonist protecting a very important figure while being a vague force with a conscience
so my guess for whats happening here is, Ametha (idk how to spell it) was being "trained" to provide a stronger version of the essence in the crate, a more dominant personality at least. why, and why she went along with it is not clear. the being(s) who's perspective the story is told through (us for lack of abetter term) seems to be a humanoid who was taken over by a/the "coat", which seems to be the remains of the body of the previous "us". the hands seem to be both "real" and also form the metaphysical internal structure of "us". the non-coat, non-hands bits seem to be nearly vestigial. anything consumed by the coat seems to enter a sort of hammer space, but since the previous "us" is the coat, it feels like its "eating" whatever goes into it. actual teeth may not always be involved. as for "teeth", this term seems to have multiple meanings. it seems it could refer to actual teeth just as much as it could refer to willpower, desire, intent or even physical actions like punching or kicking. the "us" seems to have is consciousness almost completely suppressed to the point where it cant even desire to read, understand or question most things that dont pertain directly to its commanded goals. the psychic will of the box goblin also being referred to as "teeth" in some instances. the regular descriptions of things in 7's, like arm joints and fingers per hand, seems to indicate some influence of Sarkicism, the very flesh-and-bone magic theme seemingly making the connection even stronger.
There's a fine line between incoherent gibberish and groundbreaking brilliance in the description of truly alien concepts. Against all odds, I think this article actually manages to execute the latter almost perfectly. I believe I can see a consistent explanation of virtually everything here, but it's incredibly well disguised, making me feel as if I've successfully solved a puzzle that most people could not.
Was really hoping the explanation at the end would clarify this. At least i can take solace knowing that I'm not the only one lost for meaning after this one
Voice or teeth: the boss Coat of hands: the helper Coat wearer: the persona (a “you’ness” that can be in other body’s, hence how he saw through amithas eyes) Amithas: random ahhh foundation doctor
Nah, he mentioned in the October announcement that he was skipping it half because he thinks people should read it themselves, and half because of burnout from this project.
it's impossible to pick a favorite kind of SCP, but stuff like this and 5999 are definitely up there. strings of strange, inexplicable events, with a point and purpose being optional
Replace the Words "Slam" and "Hound" with "Shit" and "Head", respectively, and this article becomes MUCH less annoyingly brain-grinding and MUCH more enjoyable.
I like that the subject here suddenly notices that a woman named Amitha Sunyadassamsomethinorsuch had brown eyes, since the human readers hardly needed to be told this. It's just another of the many details that makes this article so amazingly alien.
Wow, that was a incredibly descriptive and well written article. The imagery from the story is incredibly deep but difficult to wrap your head around exactly what you’re trying to see. Fantastic writing
What's wrong with drinking 7 eSpressos per day? It's less intense than drinking 7 regular Coffees: espressos are brewed very fast, giving them their very bitter & strong taste, but the Water has way less time to absorb Caffeine in the process, making the Espresso's "Bark" much worse than its "Bite"!

The slam hounds sound partly fae, but if they were it'd be odd to give them iron jaws. However they still consistently shy away from it throughout. It almost sounds like it's a story of a researcher with an anomalous guardian composed of corpses in part and empowered by similar fae Magicks who is investigating a box that somehow is intrinsically tied with the Veil of life and death, but represents neither and is empowered by both. It sounds as if the researcher was hunted by some alchemically gifted organization that wanted said box, and that the "arrival" at site 19 is part of a temporal loop for both. No idea what any of that would indicate though.

Scp explained, you ball like your flying socks.
Thrilled to see a reading of this and even more thrilled to see all the interpretations readers have! It’s exciting to see everything that’s been picked up on and fun to see where viewers readings’ differ from my own
Meh
As of right now, if you put a gun to my head and asked me to name my single favorite SCP, I can't think of one I'd rank higher than this one.
Sounds like the stream of consciousness of a Sarkite flesh monster. It's sentient, but just doesn't think like we do.
Q for Questions? Yeah, I have so many right now
Too many questions
Just don't question the absence of the P tale for the time being. Most of us already know the justified answer.
Main question is where is oh boy it's 3am guy
kinda bummed I was looking forward to hearing from Primrose and Adrian
How are there comments on this one from 4 days ago? Even more questions!
This what happens when you run a story through a few dozen translators in different languages until it creates something incomprehensible
so a human was made into a human guard dog hybrid super solider, and told to protect this woman (seemingly GOC) from slam dogs (MTF agents?) and put their remains into a container which eats the body parts and can communicate with the dog man. that's about all I got from this.
Daily SCP videos has been amazing.
"Is Life truly Life if it goes Round and Round?" 👁
To quote Monty Python, if I may?
Ahem...
DOCTOR
MY BRAIN HURT
Been enjoying the regular uploads. Been hitting the scp content nightly
Boy howdy, this was among one of the most unhinged SCP artocles I've listened to/read.
It definitely gets you asking questions.
I think this might actually be one of my all time favourite SCPs...
Questions is the perfect name for this.
the coat was the coat of many arms a series 1 scp that once belonged to the administrator
Wow this one made my brain work to translate what was being told into a comprehensible story 😅
my interpretation , purely based on the story. is that the 2 characters were trapped filling out some existential role in the universe, fighting off some kind of universal threat only visible to them, with the protagonist protecting a very important figure while being a vague force with a conscience
I'll be honest with ya, best I can tell is that we're dealing with a demon bodyguard of some sort
so my guess for whats happening here is, Ametha (idk how to spell it) was being "trained" to provide a stronger version of the essence in the crate, a more dominant personality at least. why, and why she went along with it is not clear. the being(s) who's perspective the story is told through (us for lack of abetter term) seems to be a humanoid who was taken over by a/the "coat", which seems to be the remains of the body of the previous "us". the hands seem to be both "real" and also form the metaphysical internal structure of "us". the non-coat, non-hands bits seem to be nearly vestigial. anything consumed by the coat seems to enter a sort of hammer space, but since the previous "us" is the coat, it feels like its "eating" whatever goes into it. actual teeth may not always be involved.
as for "teeth", this term seems to have multiple meanings. it seems it could refer to actual teeth just as much as it could refer to willpower, desire, intent or even physical actions like punching or kicking. the "us" seems to have is consciousness almost completely suppressed to the point where it cant even desire to read, understand or question most things that dont pertain directly to its commanded goals. the psychic will of the box goblin also being referred to as "teeth" in some instances.
the regular descriptions of things in 7's, like arm joints and fingers per hand, seems to indicate some influence of Sarkicism, the very flesh-and-bone magic theme seemingly making the connection even stronger.
I think it's the most romantic story I've encountered from an scp in a long time.
The name Amitha sounds familiar.
because she appeared in SCP 5370?
Amitha means Boundless, Limitless, Unmeasureable, Infinite, Eternal
The name refers to Dr. Amitha Sanmugasundaram, SCP-7660.
incomprehensible, thank you
I miss this, the ability to log onto TH-cam and have a fresh SCP video waiting for me
Hi, you have the one of the best narrative voices on TH-cam. Thank you for doing what you do
There's a fine line between incoherent gibberish and groundbreaking brilliance in the description of truly alien concepts. Against all odds, I think this article actually manages to execute the latter almost perfectly. I believe I can see a consistent explanation of virtually everything here, but it's incredibly well disguised, making me feel as if I've successfully solved a puzzle that most people could not.
Take a sip every time he says the word "slam". See you all in the hospital. 😂
im actually waiting to start working a boring job again so i can binge all of these, keep it up
Big W on the constant posting with the alphabet theme
this month has been such a treat dude thank you and keep up the great work
I use to listen to you all the time like 3 years ago, but I forgot what your channel was called. I then saw you again in my subscriptions box wooo
Me: Looking forward to TES's wrap-up so I can understand just what the heck happened.
TES: ...🤷♂️
Me: Son of a 😖
I don't comment often. Thank you exploring series
I kept thinking this had something to do with the administrator given the coat with many hands but now I'm not sure. Wtf is a slam hound 😂
Thanks thats my question
Was really hoping the explanation at the end would clarify this. At least i can take solace knowing that I'm not the only one lost for meaning after this one
Three giggitys for 3 AM, lemme hear it boys.
Hearing you suddenly say 'expresso' instead of 'espresso' was so jarring I nearly choked on my drink.
Very nice use of Apophysis pictures! Keep it up!
Voice or teeth: the boss
Coat of hands: the helper
Coat wearer: the persona (a “you’ness” that can be in other body’s, hence how he saw through amithas eyes)
Amithas: random ahhh foundation doctor
I feel like we skipped a letter... lol
Nah, he mentioned in the October announcement that he was skipping it half because he thinks people should read it themselves, and half because of burnout from this project.
I concur. Like this one Particular letter, which is Presently not accounted for. Now, Perhaps, it'll Present itself before us People.
What a treat to wake up to a new video of yours every day!
Whatever the meaning, it is a beautiful story. Thank you for yet another treat during October!
I kinda lost it when one of the slamhounds used it's slam magic.
it's impossible to pick a favorite kind of SCP, but stuff like this and 5999 are definitely up there. strings of strange, inexplicable events, with a point and purpose being optional
*OH BOY! IT’S 3AM!!*
*Q is for Q! Always watching Picard...always watching...*
"you hit me picard never hit me!"
"Bonjour mon Capitain!"
(Omnipotent yet can't say the French word Capitaine half-decently!)
Replace the Words "Slam" and "Hound" with "Shit" and "Head", respectively, and this article becomes MUCH less annoyingly brain-grinding and MUCH more enjoyable.
"Shit magic" - awesome, haha.
Mangg is the real slamhound 👊
Reminds me of "hands of blue, two by two"
I like that the subject here suddenly notices that a woman named Amitha Sunyadassamsomethinorsuch had brown eyes, since the human readers hardly needed to be told this. It's just another of the many details that makes this article so amazingly alien.
The virgin 5000 vs the chad 7660
Wow, that was a incredibly descriptive and well written article. The imagery from the story is incredibly deep but difficult to wrap your head around exactly what you’re trying to see. Fantastic writing
Just can't take this one seriously with terms like "slamhound", it's literally a pornstar's name lmao.
Frought with the fractals once more, folks. Also, verbatim valences.
Somedays, I think we all feel like a Slam Hound
Was "questioning" why i feel so questionable tonite xD. Just drunk is all.
The tooth fairy goes hardcore
Slam hounds? Awesome reference to Count Zero by William Gibson!
I appreciate the fractal video 👍
The weirdest part of this is that Amitha drinks 7 expressos a day.
Very William Gibson, a modern take on a hologram rose
Was whatever video P was for anti-memetic? Or did the P letter get skipped?
P was skipped
In the announcement video he said that he was saving P for later and I don't blame him, it's pretty long.
@@mercce6750 P is for Pretty Long
Sorry i had to
I remember him saying that 1 or 2 were really long and he’d save for later.
Although when this is finally finished, he should probably make a playlist with all of them in order, for clarity.
@@MothmanOfficialWva@mercce6750 Thanks for pointing this out to me. I guess I'll come back to this later when P is up. Otherwise it ruins the flow for me.
OH BOY!! ITS 3 AM!!
This tasted like mashed wood, I recall feeling like a young sheep blessed with weed, unaware that the wool could possibly obtain hallucinogenic effects and result in its quicker harvest. I struggled with the glass oscillating joyfully with mercury, yet I enjoyed their company, I remember telling the last one that he's neither.
Q is for Quit Dropping Bangers Maang or we will have to change your status to neutralized
Recovery ongoing? Sounds like my health! Lol! Thank you for another great SCP TES!❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Thanks for this.
A good one.
Legible, but full of questions, though most probably don't matter to the tale.
That's why he said that iron jaws atr from desperation. Also, hounds taste like mushrooms... forest, fae. It kinda all fits together.
@@fast1nakus I think you're right and I gotta listen to more project paragon stuff.
This is like the jabberwocky and I love it
this SCP is a love story and I adore that. RoyalxGuard--or rather RoyalxGuardxGuard's Sentient Armor
Q is for Qondoms.
🤯🫨Dam Dj Catus….. you dropped the mic 🎤 after writing that SCP!
And great narration TES!
I wonder if he campused his way across the vehicle before dyno-ing to the other vehicle.
Just seems like a strange synonym to use for "jump" 😂
Not a bad thing, just interesting
