Woah, holy shit! I really didn't expect any of my chunkier SCPs to ever in a million years get up here. And a whole hour??? I'm beyond flattered. Thanks for covering SCP-5050 and I can't wait to binge the video and share it with all of my friends. You rock.

The story is good but the ending is a little soft. I think a better ending would be a message tacked on saying "rogue AI detected and deleted" because what ending is darker than the Foundation not learning a damn thing?

This has always been a personal favorite SCP of mine. The aesthetic of the tower, the clear Doctor Who influences (as confirmed by the author), the reveal that this whole thing was caused by an echo chamber of three separate plans fucking up at once… I’d put this one in my top 50 SCPs of all time easily, maybe even top 20.

I hate my brain. The fact that "curiosity killed the cat" is so prominent does it's best to ruin this story for me. A pet peeve of mine is being strongly adverse to misquoted qoutes/ missed used qoutes. Curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back, is the full line. Just as "blood is thicker than water" is a misrepresentation as the original was ment to mean the exact opposite. Relationships you choose to build are stronger than ones forced on you by birth, hence the real saying "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb".
But as for the videos on the hole... another awesome narration of some fine scp content! Can't wait to see where we go next (lore world wise)

Only War is good for that kind of long form 40k stories too.
Another good storyteller of the 40k universe is A Vox in The Void.
And if you want a mix of outright comedy and serious drama Baldermort will keep you entertained for days with his grandfatherly voice.
For lore: Leutin09 if you want long and detailed.
      Weshammer for just great stuff.
Majorkill if you want brief 10 minutes videos and don't mind the odd edgy joke, as humor is subjective and he really enjoys poking fun at 40k (because it is silly satire) while also loving it.

I think this is a good example of the changes the Foundation has made since the "old days". Back when Project Rook was started the Foundation had a very different mindset compared to the modern one. The modern Foundation looks at Project Rook as an example of something you NOT supposed to do. As for the AI, yeah it's probably toast. The Foundation has gotten a lot of experience with AI's and built some good ones that are a lot smarter than this one. I think Alexandra would shut it down in short order. But that's me. sm

Do you have a copy of the document anywhere? I'm interested, would be happy to read or just know what it's about.

@@peptalkguy It’s actually a pretty cool concept. A man taking on the personality of other SCPs could give some interesting insights in a way other SCPs, (even the desire camera) can’t provide. I think you need to really throw some unique curveballs with the idea. Be ambitious. Respect the original concept of the SCPs, but don’t be afraid to show personality with some of the logs. And try to go for some more obscure or unexpected ones. Especially focus on those that would have something to say. Maybe to a family member, a loved one, or a truly despised enemy.
Though be warned, if it gets greenlit, your SCP might suffer the clickbait Desire Camera has.

@@tanktheta woof... I hadn't considered the click bait potential lmao. Acceptable casualties lol. Yeah, Ideally I'd be reaching out to the authors if possible to get their take on it so I'm representing it faithfully. I have ideas for a few specific SCPs already, and definitely wanna include some lesser known ones.

The three personality matrixs made up the Id Ego and Super Ego of the AI. You never, under any circumstances want any level of AI to send a message that says I AM. You want a god complex, because that's how you get a god complex

The name of the town in this story literally means Domain of the Dragon or Dragon's Domain. The AI styles itself as a dragon with no St. George to end it. Good story, with twists and who is to be trusted, and why or perhaps better - why not. An insane AI with a town obeying it. One wonders what the AI wants?

Hmm, 3 separate personalities combining to create a 4th rogue personality with a god complex and distaste for its creators? And it’s first words are “I Am”? Ellison is that you?
But in all honesty, whether the “I have no mouth but I must scream” references were intentional or not, I enjoyed the story and it’s telling!

(spoilers) Headcannon: The infecting AI is almost immediately detected by modern firewalls and virus defense and deleted. That's what happens when you're stuck in the 80s

Not even firewalls and virus defenses , bro has to deal with a whole playing field outside of its own file , from other rogue AIs to things like SCP-0000 or S (depending on headcanon ofc)

Lol, I've been rewatching all the earlier episodes from this channel because it's been a few years and I've seen a lot of scp explained (cartoons). And I started watching because of scp orientation, where originally it was the voice of the actor from highlander, and many many movies. They do it in the form as if u joined the scp foundation and you are being briefed with typing sounds etc. I got into that, then found this channel. Fell totally in love with scp universe. So I really like scp explained cuz I like anime etc. But I didn't realize this was new, I have been going insane because I totally tried to remember seeing this, when I could not have haha. I love this channel!! Scp universe is awesome ❤❤❤❤. Tyvm maang

Stories like this are why I just giggle whenever the ethics committee is brought up, because the 05 council can and have just ignored it on multiple occasions...or even disbanded it in one story I remember when they became too inconvenient
