I suggest that anyone who enjoyed this article take a look at SCP-7408- it's currently the only other article in 7376's canon, it's a reimagining of SCP-408 (Illusory Butterflies) & the author avatar Dr. Kondraki.
Ngl this was super hard to follow, excellent wording of the article but you threw us into the deep end without any knowledge of the world you are writing about. 3/10 because let's be honest it's just a rewriting of the Kane and Abel story
Two brothers, once companions now sworn foes. One consumed by regret, and the other consumed by rage. One bonded to metal and that withers the Earth, the other bonded to flesh and brings destruction in his wake. A tragic cautionary tale of how jealousy and envy can destroy even the deepest of family bonds.
To me, it is also a somewhat hopeful tale on what it means to forgive, and what it truly takes to seek repentance; as in the end, while Hevil did not really forgive Qayin, they were able to at least somewhat able to make amends with one another.
I love the old Cain and Abel but I definitely feel like if they were written for the first time in the era of modern scp with the depth of mythos this is a really good idea of what it would be like, a great remix. Also really neat to hear of the original Sarkics being not "the bad guys" as they are in some forms, that Qayin went to Ion willingly "as a friend" for Hayvels ressurction.
I love this remix of Cain and Abel! MontaugeETC, the author, is releasing a sequel to 7376 for RemixCon on the wiki, which will be a reinterpretation of SCP-354 "The Red Pool" and will set up the future storylines of this developing canon.
@@FizzyWillOhNo Able will be brought in to deal with a major breach, and afterwards gets a closer look at the Pool, and shows the Foundation (and the readers) what it really is (according to this canon).
SCP 073 and 076 are two of my favorite scps ever, they have a special place in my heart and finally getting to watch this video and read the file left me excited for more. I love this re-imagination of them, the way they're portrayed and given new life in the current scp world. Also, I can see how Abel and Grand Karcist Ion were "really close"... I know what you are /j

If I was old enough to write for the Remixcon and knew how to write comedy, I'd have written SCP-7376-J "Cain't and UnAble" and continue the meme. It would have ties to the Church of the Broke God, the Sarkastic cults and the DAVEites. If someone can, I'd gladly hand the idea to them.

Love when scp get reflavoring with the various factions or occasional original greater beings. I enjoy the scp lore being a big literary sandbox various authors build from, with things scooped up or knocked down with the next interpretation. Although the sarkic and broken god get a bit too much of that attention they are still a fun horror.
SCP has grow so massive that it’s impossible to have a coherent cannon, there are too way too many non contained anomalies running around some that are massive, a single canon wouldn’t make sense because it would be a world more anomalous than not lol
I think the point is that the world is already more anomalous than not and that the Foundation is just the conservative/authoritarian/right wing urge to lock up or crack down on anything that even remotely threatens their limited, uninformed world view.
As well of course the many SCPs that describe some XK-class scenario that occurs before being reversed by some means. The world has ended like 100 times over already in the SCP universe.
I love a fresh take on the classics, though the Kaktusverse version is still my favorite. Adding the Sarkites and Mekanites feels like a logical inclusion based on the original 73 and 76 articles, so much so that I'm a little surprised no one else has done this before. Cain and Abel are classic SCPs for good reason, and if this canon keeps expanding, I hope the author will apply this new lens to other SCPs that have interacted with them before.
People actually have done it before. This article follows the concept from a tale called Between Two Trees. Also in the From 120’s Archives canon, Cain and Able were both resurrected and enchanted by either the Mekhanites “Cain” or the Daevites “Able”
I would like to point out that I love that you do alternating topics instead of doing them randomly. Always knowing what I'm going to be getting is always great for managing my expectations!
PErsonally- I have been working on some personal idea for Kain and Abel take. Inspired by Chainsawman and other stories of deals with Devils- in continiuity I so far sketched out in notes Abel is the first fiend, first person to make hybrydize with a Devil power (And yeah, he is a Violence Fiend). Hope it's not too cringe
Okay okay but imagine waking up, getting hit by acid and plasma and ballistic weapons, as well as being mentally flashbanged through every sense by memetic hazards, I'd be pretty pissed too if I was able after the 67 seconds
The Cain and Abel stories to me always felt like the most stale/fanfic-like part ot the lore, but this take is very intriguing. The author did a great job, this is a perfect example of how SCP stories constantly grow and evolve.

I softly said "YEEEES!" when I saw this video. I initially was disappointed with what SCP-7376 was, because it felt like a replacement rather than an expansion, but now I'm pretty fond of it. Now let's see if someone can make a video for SCP-7711 with all the imagery. I suggested it to Dr. Bob, but they seem to be interested more in making their own stories to introduce the SCP, and horror. I think they'll like SCP-7662!
I quite like the stories that build off of pre-existing mythology like this one. I've heard some people claim that it's "boring" or "not original enough to be interesting", but in reality, it's just following a trend that humanity has always followed. First there's some culture that appears, they create stories and legends, people spread out to new locations and create different cultures, and then re-imagine those older stories and legends into a new form, giving rise to a "new" mythology. Stories like this are just the modern form of that. It takes the original story of Cain and Able, takes the older SCP Cain and Able, and then re-imagines them into something new. You can still see the original inside of it, but clearly this author didn't just want to "remake" the older stories but in more detail, they added and changed it in a way that makes it unique in it's own right. I'm definitely going to be looking forward to whatever this author has planned next.
Indeed. We've been retelling stories and adding a new twist on them for uncounted millennia. To myself, this makes such retelling all the more compelling and a valuable, human tradition upheld.

I still Really appreciate these videos. It's like short SCP audio books, and I love audio books. I just listen less over summer break. Now that I'm back to teaching I have a nice backlog of SCP entries to listen to while I get my work done. If you aren't already doing so you should probably consider doing professional voice work.
Although I'm a fan of Sarkicism, I don't particularly like Abel's version. For me, the concept of the sides (that Abel is flesh, and Cain is metal) is not interesting, for me both were like a tragedy from the scale - between them. To Abel, I adhere to the version of the Devites (not that he was made aggressive (which he became after death), but that his abilities were enhanced and they gave him a tomb). I was quite hooked in the article, this is when it was about changing Cain's prostheses.
I'm more fond of the Kaktusverse version of C&A, but this is a quite good alternate version, excluding that one rookie writing mistake I mentioned earlier. I do look forward to hearing more of this canon.
I always liked the biblical references and how they where back then, it add more to the stories and to their characters, we all know the story about how Cain killed Abel but what where they like as people?
I feel like when an alteration to these older SCPs or more story is appended to it and it is THIS obvious what it refers to, it should be a story or an "article" like that one 173 extension where it starts multiplying.
While I think the “unstoppable world ending event” cliche wasn’t needed in this article, the author kept to the original themes of the brothers and their relationship from old SCP “lore.” 8/10
I’m not sure why the author included the part about the American omega 7 program. It didn’t serve the larger plot as far as I can tell and this would have worked just as well as an origin for the foundation’s omega 7 Other than that this is really great as a pseudo-rewrite of the series 1 073 and 076. Those articles suffer from typical series 1 tropes and this has the feeling of series 2-3 sarkic SCPs as well as the more modern version of the foundation that accepts anomalous religions rather than trying to stamp them out.
