    Here we take a look at 4 different reasons to print parts for your radio control hobby.
    Number 1: To avoid having to get rid of an older radio control model because of lack of parts or simply just too many discontinued parts. 3D printing your RC parts allows the rc to not end up as a shelf queen and continue running.
    Number 2: You simply would like to add more features to an already existing part.
    Number 3: Rapid Prototype or produce parts. Come up with an idea, simply design it and then produce it.
    Number 4: 3D print something experimental. If it fails, simply print another. 3D printing allows an endless amount of experimentation.

    This was the main reason I got into 3d printing. I've been using carbon fiber reinforced nylon and it is nearly indestructible and the perfect filament to use in this instance.

      what printer are you using thinking about getting a printer to make some rc parts, and want to be able to print with the carbon reinforced fillament.

      @@brendonhanson6027 I've converted my Anet A6 over to an all metal hot end in order to print nylon. I'd suggest this mod on an ender 3 if you're looking for a cheap reliable printer. The A6 was my first 3d printer and is a bit finicky

    Good video, just getting into 3D printing. I printed the OpenRC-F1 car that Daniel Norée designed for about $20 threw a radio and motor in it and now have an RC car. Welcome to the future I guess

      Hey Dutch, Thank you for sharing your experience. 3D printing is quite addictive when you can literally imagine something, design it and then see it in front of you almost instantly.

    Love all of your videos,man! What's a good 500-600 dollar range printer that supports the material needed to print strong rc parts

      Many people like the creality brand of printers as a first to get in to. It's not the best buy you can get quite a good setup at that price point.

    There is a guy named Ryan that already sells 3 d Snow groomers cammed Stryker. He has two snow cat designs. He designed and is selling his creations although the kits are some what reasonable the assembled kits are very expencive. He does offer the program to make your own for a decent price. I want to say $129. I wouldnt mind getting a 3 D printer and learning . I think if our local college offeres a course, I may take the course. Not for credit but for learning how to design and make my own RC parts. I didnt do well in math in school , nor habe I done much in any CAD design. I taught myself basic computer programming using an old Apple 2C back in the early 1990's and have also taught myself electronics and working with LED's. I got back into RC since getting out of it in 1980. Back then Balsa and Nitro was still king as was 72 hz transmitters. I am now neck deep into ESC's brushless vs Brushed motors, and STILL getting back into Nitro. I want to buy a 3D printer and start making my own parts for many of my projects. From FPV camara holders to Mane a whole plane like you are doing. I know much of it is downloading software and using computer programs.

      It's not that difficult to get in to. The challenge is really just learning the design software that you choose to use.
