    4:50 "There seems to be no damage to the CPU..." lmao the hell there ain't.
    1. You pulled the CPU out at an angle, so there's probably bent pins.
    2. The heatsink's pipe is bent from you bending it instead of removing it, so as someone else said, the BIOS shut off the computer to prevent damage to the CPU or any other parts of the computer.
    3. Don't fricken pull the damn CPU out of its socket like that. Since that's a laptop and not a desktop, the CPU draws your graphics. So while you might have a good CPU but you're not seeing anything on the screen, and there just so happens to be a few bent pins on the CPU, that's the problem.
    4. Is that a school computer?!

      The CPU doesn't necessarily draw the graphics, for some laptops have dedicated iGPUs and basic chipset GPUs that draw the graphics.

    I laughed so hard I spit out my food. No bud, you have to remove the entire heatsink assembly before you can reach the processor. Nothing in a computer is designed to be "one use only."

    the only reason there would have been any permanent damage is the lack of knowing what the hell you're doing and how sensitive the parts are oh my god this hurt to watch. Mind you I was looking up what happens if you pierce a cpu while it's in operation, so I came pretty close to what I was looking for

    That was the graphics processor, and it drives the monitor. The CPU ( microprocessor ) is embedded and is not user replaceable.

    That screw is a lock lever so the pins make contact.
    It shut down because it overheated to protect itself.

    As a word of advice NEVER EVER EVER EVER handle a CPU like that. You probably bent the pins and caused permanent damage to it. That is the reason it was wonky.

    something i was wonder is , most newer graphics cards have plugs for more power to come into it
    and some poeple power them with an "external" power supply.
    i was wondering what would happen if the computer somehow lost power but there was still power going to the gpu through the external power supply.
    or maybe the other way around
    if the gpu loses power but the computer doesn't

    ok from what i remember using old CPU's if the heat sink is removed and the CPU is Running it would burn up 100 C + before you could remove it in the time span he did which doesn't seem right what so ever
