    Best video I've seen on this monitor, but for the cost being the same as what I got my AORUS FV43U for. I'll stick with that till something better comes out , waiting for the new 42" LG C2 OLED to come out and it's pricing... Dolby vision gaming on the Xbox series X is amazing...

    So what makes this one true HDMI 2.1 besides it supporting the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.1? Does that mean the MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD is not true HDMI 2.1? I've heard that MSI does not have variable OD on their HDMI 2.1 ports where as BenQ does.

    • @TooMuchTech
      @TooMuchTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haven’t tested the MSI so I’m not sure. But as long as they can do 4K 120hz it’s true HDMI 2.1
      Recently, there is a new HDMI 2.1a standard that is BS and is just a rebrand of HDMI 2.0 for marketing.

      MSI is not full hdmi 2.1 48gps this one is. If you are looking at options the Asus ROG p32qu is the same panel as the benq

    • @armen1136
      @armen1136 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both support the full Bandwidth of HDMI 2.1, Main difference is the brightness, customization, and the MSI has a Quantum Dot display. If you don't care about having built in speakers and a remote, Then you can't go wrong with the MSI Optix. I've used both and It's hard to say which one I like better, I felt like in SDR, The BenQ is definitely better but in HDR the MSI is pretty awesome. I would just go with whichever one looks better and which features sound better to you. I will say that during daytime use, The MSI is better but if you game a lot at night or in a dark room and don't want extreme brightness, The BenQ is better suited for that. Performance wise I actually think the BenQ was a little better, I didn't notice as much motion blur. I think the Overdrive settings on this monitor are a lot better and actually work, The MSI overdrive settings felt like they produced too much motion blur regardless of setting you choose. This one is better optimized for consoles since it works a lot better at lower frames. The MSI works a lot better at higher frames.

    • @armen1136
      @armen1136 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine had quite a bit of IPS glow and backlight bleed around the corners. I also noticed some color banding in darker scenes. I think this monitor has some problems that I haven't seen on other monitors I've tried.

    • @armen1136
      @armen1136 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you using HDR? if so it could be the diming zones, Since the panel only has a few diming zones, when using HDR you'll notice blooming. It's common on these edge lit displays, I would try turning off HDR or see if there is a way to turn off local diming and see if it still has that issue.
