    Great review, seems like you’re the only person who has reviewed this monitor which is surprising since it’s really popular on Amazon at the moment

      @@Tech_HD1 I currently have the LG GP950 and it looks great but I have to get rid of it. I ordered from the LG UK website 2 months ago and the first unit I received had a bent stand and I got it exchanged and the second unit (the one I currently have) also has a bent stand, but this time it’s even more bent lol. And LG have contacted me saying they have none in stock and that the GP950 is end of line on their side, which means they have no plan of incoming stock any longer (I assume due to the high amount of faulty units with this model). So they gave me the option to refund which I am going to refund but I was wondering whether this benQ monitor supports 4K 144hz over HDMI 2.1 without any downsides to its panel bit depth? Because the LG monitor initially did not allow 4k 144hz over HDMI, only 4k 120hz and a firmware update had to be released to achieve 4k 144hz via HDMI (with RGB + 10bit + Full range). The BenQ website states the following about achieving 4k 144hz over HDMI 2.1: “In terms of sheer bandwidth, HDMI 2.1 48Gbps easily handles 4K 120Hz with full HDR and no compromises on color. It is also capable of 4K 144Hz with tweaked settings if you prefer a higher framerate.
      These changes to color are not noticeable to most people and the image still looks great. It’s a good tradeoff for those who prefer higher framerates”. I was wondering whether you know what this ‘tweak’ is? Because I’m interested in what they are compromising on to achieve 4K 144hz over HDMI and whether it will still have 10-bit colour support like my LG monitor?

    I just bought this monitor on Amazon. It’s on sale for 639. Figured I’d take a shot since it’s 4K to use with ps5. After this review,glad I took the chance.

    Nice review! How about pixel density and text clarity? I would like to use it with my Xbox X/PS5 and my Macbook 14" as a second monitor (DP Port). I ended up returning my BenQ EX3210R because the text was awful, very blurry and pixelated. The specs say the EX2710U has 163 PPI; wondering if it is enough for good text clarity. Thanks!

    • @Tech_HD1

      Thank You! 😁 I used it for some time writing up the script of the Video and it was clear and detailed enough for me. Subtitles for movies, shows, and video game campaigns was good as well. Never really gave me issues as far as it being pixelated and a lower quality

    • @KnightCan
      @KnightCan ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tech_HD1 Thanks for replying! I found out that the BenQ EX3210R I returned has 92 PPI. The EX2710U has 163 PPI, the same as Sony INZONE M9, which I saw in person and loved; the text clarity was fantastic.
      I pulled the trigger on the EX2710U due to the build quality and better height, tilt and swivel adjustments; it comes with a controller remote and better speakers. Again, thanks for the review!

    Just for the PS5 not PC
    Would you chose this over the LG GP 950 and the Asus VG28UQL1A
    Which one would you chose out of these three?

    • @Tech_HD1
      @Tech_HD1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the late response. So to answer your question, yes and no. The Asus Monitor is dead last. It’s only DisplayHDR 400 while the other two are 600 and it only goes up to 90% DCI-P3 Color Accuracy while the others go up to 98%. It’s the lowest price but not by much. What the BenQ Monitor has over the LG is Local Dimming and a 2.1 Channel Built in Speaker. The LG Monitor also doesn’t mention what the MPRT Response Time is but imma guess and say that it’s 1ms as well. If you don’t care about built in speakers because you use headphones and you don’t care about the local dimming feature, then go with the LG version and save a couple extra bucks. But I would say BenQ, Sony, LG, and Asus. I hope this helps 👍🏼

      I typically use sRGB or P3 for most of my shots since it's the most color accurate. For HDR Gaming and footage, I use Display HDR because that one doesn't use the Ambient Light Sensor and Dims the screen

      How so? The other companies charge around the same if not more for a 4K HDMI 2.1 27 inch Monitor. Unless you’re talking about the first EX2710 Monitor

    I liked the EX3210U, But the IPS glow and backlight bleed was too much. I ordered 2 replacements and all of them had it, So I'm pretty sure it's just how the display is. I tried the LG 32GQ950 and even though it still had some glow it wasn't anywhere near as bad as the BenQ monitor, So I'll be sticking with the LG monitor. The LG monitor isn't perfect, But it's definitely has the least amount of glow and bleed I've seen on a monitor.

    • @Tech_HD1
      @Tech_HD1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even with trying out the Backlight Control (Local Dimming)? That should help with light bleeding. Maybe trying the Sony Inzone M9 would help. Even though it's a 27 inch monitor, it has Full Array Local Dimming

    Warning for those who are planning to buy this monitor for HDR (basic HDR) viewing purposes better stay away with 27” model becoz benq has done some nasty job with this model they have removed local dimming support when u turn ON VRR which is not a same case in 32” version. Even basic HDR 400 monitor does better job. Paying such a premium price no local dimming is a huge let down!! Even cheaper 500$ models does provide u better HDR than this shit.
