These bikes are absolutely rock solid. I've got a 2018 Africa Twin Adventure Sports and a '98 Pan European. Both amazing bikes. Both big and heavy. But both so different. The Pan is a flawless cruiser, despite having an extra 50kg over the AT. I've done long tours on the AT and it's fantastic, but it likes to be pushed hard, it's lairy and it lets you know when it's moving fast. The Pan just does it without any drama at all. Every day. Year after year.
I went to the museum last December. Wow! My mind was blown away by the high standard of bikes and their restoration. All the Marques I'd never hear of. Cafe was good too! Loving the Pan Euros. 👌

I need to visit here again last went 2014 the big standouts for me was the rotary Norton and hogslayer the twin Norton nitro fuelled drag bike that took on the American Harley Davidsons of course every one knows Harley Davidson actually started life in a shed in Angus in Scotland so are technically maybe a British bike… I notice a Silk which until last year I had never heard of, they originate from Derbyshire and there’s one on display in the Derby museum of making well worth a visit if you are in the area. (Free entry) And on the subject of motorcycle museums while on your charity ride do you go near the Sammy Miller museum near Bournemouth that’s somewhere I’ve wanted a nosey around for a while.
Imagine the hopes and dreams that went with some of those motorcycle brands that failed for whatever reason. Some of those stories will be interesting and sad
great video and a lovely selection of bikes too, reminds me of being in my Granddad garage. He has a sunbeam and a AJS too, plus some triumphs of course! Trying to convince him to let me out on one of them for the queen's jubilee
@@Armanispice late but; ABS TCS warning, comes on in case of a problem (usually a hall sensor maladjusted or defective). Disable temporarily by pressing the buttons on the left side fairing above the knee.
I find the blinking ABS light very irritating. I know it does not affect the breaking per se, but still... The electric wiring of the ABS is one of the few soft spots on the Pan.
Loved that I’ve found myself in total agreement I’ve fell in love with a 21 year old big booty beauty 😎👌😍 so can’t wait for this adventure to start , ps you still not got rid of that annoying flashing abs light yet lol 😂

@@sail4life Commonly the the rear crank angle sensor, which is a 5Kohm potentiometer mounted on the rear ABS modulator.
