I must agree. I just got an '01 with 32K miles. Honda was really on their game when they made these. And to think, this is 35 year old technology serving riders well today even.
Moved on to this from the Himalayan vid....and just bought an st1100 2 weeks back. Already replaced rear shock, ordered a final drive from US, new rectifier, clutch slave, seat trim, fluids and added handlebar risers and a screen. All in the name of keeping the wife happy on the back. Love the channel...next vid about the demise of the RUPP?
Well done Lord Helmet Head for not just showing the world what these work horses can do, but for the awareness you have brought to The Rainbow Trust. Ride safe my friend.
I no it’s sad to that they have to go had the same emotions at the weekend when I threw a leg over the big green sexy machine, what I do no it was a epic adventure and I will have the memories forever 🙏
A 3.5 inch roc riser makes that bike much more comfortable. I removed that ridiculously plastic bit around my handle bars and used a ram mount. You better keep her...you're talking to her. LOL.
My Pan had those risers and they make a big difference. The bike in this video has 74,000 miles on it and the rider stated that Pans can go 300,000 miles! Impressive indeed. Mine has only 13,000 on it!
I couldn't figure out how to set the clock as well. I had to read the manual to figure it out. I guess that keeps some bloke from walking up and changing your time.
If I lived in your Country, I would buy it but I live in the States. I'm looking to get back into riding again. My choices are the Honda ST 1100/1300 or the BMW R1200 C. It's time I live for myself again and enjoy life.
I have one of these.... 96 flaming.... Just had a bunch of overhaul stuff done including a great buff job.... Looks almost new... 6000 miles.... Guess I will keep it another 10 years 😁
@@SinnerSince1962 Actually, that is a typo late at night....the red sweety has 67500 miles on it and I share my ride with a 2015 Royal Enfield Classic 500. Two really different riding experiences and both delightful.
I'm pondering picking up a used Honda Pan 98 to have as my daily vehicle. I'm pretty strapped on income and I come to the conclusion even with depreciation in account this bike would cost me about 50-60 €/month to own and drive. The only thing that I'm worried about is how much they cost to maintain? Do they just work even with very little maintenance?
@@jace4817 mine has been pretty reliable. Just normal maintenance.... Nothing has broken in the 6 years I have owned it. I am pretty happy with that.... I even traded my European auto for a honda accord because of the reliability factor. So far pretty good....
This guy says it is just like all large japenese motorcycle tourers with some decent power & - heavy ) + comfortable long distant cruisers. I suppose if anyone was to find one in very good condition 🙄🤔 & very well looked after it won't be as cheap as this one was. Proberbly over £3, 500 secondhand at least If it was perfect ( very, very rare ) it be around £5, 500 to £8, 750 minimum. But, it would have to be fully checked over to verify it was 100% perfect for a price like that. A brand new one would cost around £12, 000 As the Gold wing Is about £18, 000 + last i heard & that was a good few years ago so more for them now. But, i do like this bike. i prefer something a bit smaller ( HONDA CB500 or 650 with the fairing kit on it. ) lovely in white but i would have it it red or black 😁😁😁😁😉👍 SO VERY SAD!!! when beautiful cars or motorbikes are sold on It can be like saying goodbye to a very close friend that is unlikely to see ever again. 😳😟😟😟

Considering you did over 2,000 in 6 days and it didn’t break you, just goes to show what a great bike it is.
Posiadam taką maszynę i ją uwielbiam za komfort, wygląd, osiągi i niezawodność oraz solidność.
Great bikes, and a good one will still be better than a lot of modern touring bikes today.

Can't ride safe with one hand on the bars.... He does it through the entire video.
Aww she did you well. What a bike.

I regret selling my ST1100 ABS to this day. I love my current Hayabusa to bits but I can't help but think of the ST on a lot of my longer rides.

missing my ST1100... still growing into my ST1300, hope it is as much fun as the 11!

To jak koń 🐎 dla rycerza 😉 jest super 👍 pozdrawiam 🇵🇱
There is a trick with the venter stand, pull back towards the reel wheel not up.

Good luck brother!
Hey Tony,
Did u go 4 the ST13?
Hope so 👍
I'm super interested in buying it 😁
They are a great touring bike (just like the Deauville….😉)
Honda didn’t call it the Pan European just for fun
100% 😊👍
I’m sad for you.. but sadder that you didn’t play the theme to ‘Love story’
That would of been the best song 😉👍
@@HelmetHead Yes, it would HAVE. ST1100s (and 1300s) are great bikes.
Awesome videos. How did you get rid of the engine ABS light? In a previous video it was flashing. Thank you for your video's and insights.
superb vid, about a reliable friend - ''Honda Pan''
Cheers dude 👍
I find the whine from gear driven cams straight cut annoying.
Passed on one today.
Maybe a Honda Blackbird with risers on bars and lowered pegs?

If you've had it for 10 years, yet it still has only 6K miles in total, you aren't doing it right, my friend! :)

Miss mine. ☹️
Brilliant bikes....
Where do we find the ad? Genuinely very interested!
The ad is going up this weekend 😉 I’ll put a post up with a link. 👍
@@HelmetHead nice one! Will keep an eye open!
I want one ☝🏼 😅
Do it 😉
how did you fix the fuel gauge? mine is stuck in the full position
I'd buy it 😁
Open to a good offer 😜
WERE THOSE CHIPPYS IN THE VAN`S FLYTIPPING ?
Have you sold it yet
No not yet. I’m planning on putting it up for auction at the end of the weekend and will post a link 😉
