Wow, sounds great guys. So I’m assuming that the newly announced second run of scaletrains sd40-3s will have this file from the factory? If so I may actually have to order one with sound rather than getting a silent one and putting a lokpilot decoder in it like I did with my tier 4 GEVOs from scaletrains.

Yes, the newest run will include this file.

Okay, thanks for the quick response. I’ve been really impressed with the performance of your lokpilot decoders I’ve been installing in my non sound locomotives, and I’ve been meaning to try a loksound decoder. Looks like I’ll have to preorder one of these from the next run. Keep up the good work.

I see you bought the TMTV TOMA layout, Matt! Any chance this will be used as a traveling demo layout for ESU?

Actually, we are only using the layout for a short time. It's a little too big for us to travel with though.

I just watched this and noticed you said Anthony Wood, are you talking about Anthony Wood that produces Searchlight Simulations locomotives and sound packs?

Is this the same file you send out about a week ago or is the Sd40-3 file updated? i ask because my bell does not sound like that. my bell rings a little slower then the one on the video.

      Hi Carlos, try this:
      Please Note:
File Contains a Modern E-Bell, and MILW E-Bell and a Gong Bell which can be selected in Function Mapping. Simply choose the appropriate Sound Slot for F1.
Sound Slot 4 is the default bell (changeable with CV48)
Sound Slot 9 is the Modern E-Bell
Sound Slot 22 is the MILW E-Bell
Sound Slot 23 is the Gong Bell
      Regards,
      Clarence

so the file on the website says its a version4 but when i open it in the programmer i cant add or edit sounds... so wouldn't that make it a select file?

This is sort of a hybrid file. As it is an OEM file there needed to be the option for multiple horns using CV48, but it also needed the V4.0 hardware for the ScaleTrains motherboards.
