are you guys going to be at the railroad prototype meeting in CT on the 3rd? i had a great time hanging out with you guys last year, and im glad this video came out because i actually wanted to talk to you about telling the decoder how heavy the train was to allow you to vary the speed or engine rpm individually to simulate notching or coasting, or pulling alight vs. heavy load... great work!
Why will the LokProgrammer not read other manufacturer chips. I have factory fitted QSI and SoundTrax decoders and the LokProgrammer will not read in the complete chip details....not even the manufacturer details?
Matt I Got a KATO Engine a EMD SDP40F Santa Fe 5052 () # 176-9211-LS. with Lok Sound And my Question and wasn't for sure where to Ask was Function Controls: Like F-1, F-2 & F-3 I figured out what most of these functions can Do but the one I haven't figured out yet was the F-7 function It's Labeled ( Switching Mode ) I haven't came across what this Function Does.. For the Engine is it part of the Knotching feature does it slow or change the Engine's speed and since I'm using a N.C.E. Power Cab it's some what Difficult knowing if it on or Not.. But my Engine had been Running Really well.. I purchased the Engine from The Western Depot.. Thanks for Time Reading this I will for sure watch all of your Videos and I hope someday soon! I can visit with ya on the phone.. These Decoders in my eyes is what's bringing excitement to Model Railroading...
Very good explained and it is easy to use.What me confuses me, are the many different FT files.Especially when V2 is involved.At my 1st programmmer istallation it gave me "Programmer4" and "V2" and can´t read a thing what V2 is.
Hi Matt,I have a question. On the Intermountain ES40DC Locomotives it comes with number board lights (AUX 3), after updating it to FT AUX 3 is now a rotating beacon. How can I change that back to being a stead light like it use to be but still have FT?Thank you Terry
Is there any kind of graphic eq in the programmer itself?Or can new files be adjusted with a graphic eq software(external program)The reason i ask is because i prefer to have more low end in my sound(output from speaker),basically have the lower frequencies to be beefed up,and the mid & high frequencies output be lowered. Thanks
we work hard to make sure the levels are good out of the box if used with good speakers. Sorry this is not included. You may want to look at using some Cell Phone speakers as they provide a broader frequency range.
Hi Guys....could you maybe do a quick video on how to install a Full Throttle sound file. I bought the Lok Programmer but Im so new to this I get confused easily. How about a video call "Lok Installs for Dummies" :) I'm trying to figure out how to upgrade my Bowser SD40-2s with the new FT files. Much Thanks
I think I've bricked my ESU decoder in my Atlas Alco S4. Engine still moves OK but I cant get the sound back. I was trying to update to FT but I always get an error half way through the update. Error writing decoder data message evey time. Going round in circles, dont know what else to try. Reset dosn't seem to make any differance.

I'm afraid there is no Brian at ESU, but we will need more info to help either way. We need the exact error message you are receiving as different circumstances will give different messages. Please contact us direct at Support@LokSound.com with a screenshot of the message and possibly a picture of your programming set up and we will work to find a solution. Common problems are: poor connection between the LokProgrammer and the decoder, or using a V4.0 file in a Select decoder or a Select file ina V4.0 decoder. You must only use Select files in a Select decoder, and V4.0 files in V4.0 decoders. All sound files are availabe in both version though.

I would like to download 4.4.21, but it seems it is not yet on the website, the newest being 4.4.20... I've refreshed my webbrowser and history etc..
Please try to download 4.4.22 instead. We found a small bug earlier today. It is fixed now.

looking for the cv 's for the master volume on Rivet Counter HO GE Tier 4 GEVo
It should be in the ScaleTrains Manual, But like all LokSound decoders the Master Volume CV is 63. It has a range of 0-192.
