  • LokSound 5 Decoders give you the ability to choose up to 8 Random functions to play when you want them to. These can be Sound, Logic, or Light output functions. This video will explain how they work and how to set them up.

I have been moving my random sounds around (I wanted the radiator fan to not be in the first 12 Function buttons) and did wonder why the name in the Triggered Function pulldown list didn't change to match my Function Mapping. Now I realise you set it in the information tab. You learn something every day.

As a fairly new railroader to DCC and sound, these tutorials are very helpful. I feel like I am learning so much that I never thought about. Keep up the great videos !!

Interesting the repeated sound slots for a while, what I would really like would be to see how to implement, that one of those sounds, which is housed in a specific slot, when it sounds, by giving an F that I have assigned, avoid that the locomotive stops as a safety measure, how does the German SIFA or the Spanish Dead Man work, I have tried several configurations and I am unable, can this be implemented?

This would have to be created in a soundslot, not using the random features shown in the video. There are "rand" conditions within the sound schedule commands that could be used to make it "random" but a schedule would have to created that would stop the loco. Interesting idea! Should be possible though.

@@ESUDCC Thank you very much for the answer, I have to get it to see how it can be done, and that it resembles a real train. I would also like to be able to get in touch with you, I want to make videos of how to use the program in Spanish for Spanish-speaking people, since the decoder manuals are in German or English, and there is no manual for Lokprogrammer version 5 Well, to be able to have a base from the most basic of it to the realization of projects from 0 of sound, and I wanted to know if I could count on your support to do this.
      Thanks and greetings from Spain

@@ESUDCCCan the audio files be used to create an analog/ non-DCC soundbox?
