here in Missouri, we use the same material for pole barn siding, what we do is we stack them, pre drill all our holes so we only have to measure once then we cut all of them at once with a skilsaw with a metal blade. I think the most we cut at one time was like 15 panels though

I've drilled holes for multiple sheets at once but never cut more than one at a time. Thanks for the tip!

I mostly use a dis cutter on sheet metal > but it has its draw back to~ > flying pieces of metal and sparks

I use a circular saw with the blade on backwards. Works perfect

I've never heard of that method. Maybe that's why I still have all of my fingers. :)

@@floridarusticrepairs that's why you don't put your fingers in the way. Duh!!!!

In all seriousness, thanks for the info. It sounds like a quick method and I had not heard of it before. I'm curious what it does with the edging. With galvalume it's important to pinch it to stop corrosion. I've got some spare material so I'm going to try it. @@Sith_dude

It's quick but it doesn't crimp so corrosion on the edges will happen which is why I don't cut with a circular saw. @@floridarusticrepairs

Nibbler just can't cut straight, I always use grinder and then touch up the edge with paint right away for rustproofing. Works very well and last long.

Also voids the warranty on the tin, for good reason.

ironically, part of this went out of focus because I manually focused on a preceding shot and it didn't auto release. :) We were working fast on the roof so I didn't review the footage until it was uploaded.
