    I'm assuming here but i take it since the Prometheus made the cut then the nemesis and perses would also qualify as heavies if they had hopper upgrades or you carried enough reload pods.

      With the Perses, the hopper extensions make it much better for reloading, as from what I've heard, with the base blaster, you have to be delicate with reloading the hopper, while with an extension, reloading is much easier.

    I plan on running a hunter-heavy load out. I’m gonna build an auto stryfe/swordfish with an FN FAL kit on it which will be getting a wood grain paint job on the kit itself. I’m gonna run a battle belt with dump pouch, mega hammershot, 2 triple mag pouches stocked with a total of 6 15 round mags. Essentially I wanna carry out ambush attacks on zombie columns in short detachments from larger units. I also command a troop (commonwealth troop size not a US troop size) which has about 15+ crewmen in it and it prepared to carry out any mission assigned to us! BANGARANG!

      Jupiter and proton pack?

    • @CaptainXavier
      @CaptainXavier  4 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      ^ what he said. Once they are readily available. Even a small Proton Pack will give you more fire power than almost any mag fed Heavy Loadout. My smallest proton pack (which a child could easily run) holds over 400 rds. Equal to almost 20x 22rd mags.

    • @benjaminteague5123
      @benjaminteague5123 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Another up vote for the proton pack. They can be made in any size backpack carrier you want so you could very easily Choose Your Capacity based on what you can carry. The largest day packs that you can find are about that 2,000 mark. You could very easily get 500 to 1000 in a small or medium Daypack

TK's loadout is an FDL3 supported by twelve 18 stick mags not counting the one in the blaster, with five mags in a chest rig, three in a velcro belt pouch, and another four in a drop leg, and yet he's still fast enough to keep up with Beret. Reasonings: (read if you want ideas)
    My friends and i do that often where we become a sort of MG raider unit, where we stack with 5 hoplites in front, vulcans behind and one officer/commissar to spot, snipe, and bust with demolishes targets that threten us as we slowly trudged tward the enemy point.
    Yes i know its cheap, yes i know its mean. But IF they could rally to divide our attention, they can easaly get us from the side, or just charge and hope one can break up the "tank". Theres also dispatching the "tanks" personal ammo bear and runner. The "tank" is useing Vulcans so we need ammo from somewhere.

    Primary: Titan CS-50
    Secondary: Thunderblast
    Armour: Homemade Cardboard body armour (Low mobility and visibility but scares all my enemies out of attacking me
    Gear: Radio on the left pec and motion sensor on the back of the head (to make up for low visibility)
    Ammo: 1 50 magazine and 2 25 round mags (100 rounds if you can’t math)
    Is this loadout good? Or should I change something? Btw my type of heavy is meant to maintain supporting fire from a bunker area in a pvp game.

    A little off topic here, but...what is your recommendation on eye protection for people who wear prescription glasses? (and can't wear contact lenses for certain reasons). I've tried lab goggles, but the one I have isn't very comfortable. (Might try a different pair.)
    Would Face Shields (for woodworking/metalworking) be feasible?

    • @GhostC10
      @GhostC10 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always get shatter-proof lenses in my glasses since my last couple jobs have always required eyepro on the job, they're not much more expensive than normal glasses.

    • @LightningEagle14
      @LightningEagle14 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll agree with what others have said, but add that side shields are a good idea if you are using prescription glasses. Super cheap, and then you get the full wrap around protection that actual safety glasses have.

    I'm definitely late to watching this but I have to ask: is it possible to mod or adapt the Jupiter (the one in the video, not the new offical Nerf one) to use a proton pack?

    • @CaptainXavier
      @CaptainXavier  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was quite literally originally designed for that. OOD has run dual Jupiter Proton packs at events. You can buy the adapter on his website. It is awesome.

    (This might be a duplicate but my comment may have gotten deleted)
    Primary: minimized rapidstrike that takes short length darts
    Secondary: mega hammer shot
    I can sprint in this load out because of the small mags and minimized rapidstrike so I can also be a scout

    Hey cap i was woundering with the double AK pouches, you cut out the little devider flap in them and the cover flap right? I have not and my mags are a bit to snug but i don't know if it would be to loose otherwise.

    • @CaptainXavier
      @CaptainXavier  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I remove the divider but not the top flap. I tuck the flap into the pouch. That is enough to keep them from bouncing out.

    Hi captain Xavier. Can you do a video on that double strike in your loadout. Because I've tried to mod mine and it look like you have a metal hammer on it? Also isn't hard to reload your auto stryfes when using them at the same time.

    • @CaptainXavier
      @CaptainXavier  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not much to tell on it really. The hammer and trigger were given to me by "ze Germans." Other than that it has a slightly heavier spring.
      Nope. Holster one, reload from holster, draw again.

    Should you expect to not recover any of the ammo you shoot home with you? I’m just curious what most HvZ’s do with the ammo at the end. I normally run Rival blasters but the ammo is a bit pricey so I might need to run something else. I guess when in doubt don’t bring more ammo than your willing to lose.

    • @CaptainXavier
      @CaptainXavier  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In big HvZ's like Endwar, Ragnarocktoberfest, and WvZ you should DEFINITELY consider all ammo disposable. Some might be recoverable but most will be lost.

    Also curious where shotguns fall as a weapon choice, would that be a lighter or heavier Loadout? And would you recommend them at all?

    • @CaptainXavier
      @CaptainXavier  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lighter, and only if you can be effective with them. Most have a pretty low rate of fire. There are exceptions. In general I would not recommend them as a primary. Secondary or Tertiary certainly.

  • @Draftsman_MC1300
    @Draftsman_MC1300 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I figured I’d ask because you never addressed them specifically but they do meet qualifications save for one. What about blasters like the Hades and and Raiders/rampages given their slam fire and especially the Hades’ large capacity for a springer?

    • @CaptainXavier
      @CaptainXavier  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my opinion neither is well suited for a primarily Heavy roll. They would be able to fill that function in a pinch but maintaining a constant high rate of fire with a slam fire blaster is just way too inefficient in the long run. Also, over time the Hades has a very slow fire rate because of how long it takes to fully reload once empty.

    • @Draftsman_MC1300
      @Draftsman_MC1300 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Captain Xavier makes sense, what category do you think they would fill then?

    Curious how you decided at 4 mags for medium and 6 for heavy....
    Whenever I see the question for “how many mags do I need for HvZ” it seems like 6-10 is the common answer. A ton of people run the popular vism ak rig which holds 8 IIRC, and 6 or 8 tends to be the common number.
    I’m not trying to say you’re wrong, just wondering how you decided on the numbers you did.
    (And yes I realize 6 & 4 are just recommenced not required)

    • @CaptainXavier
      @CaptainXavier  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By keeping track of how much ammo I went thru during 1 hr missions over the course of 10 years of HvZ.
      Most people run heavier than they need to. That is not a bad thing. Because most people are not running in organized squads and thus there tends to be a LOT of waste. It is not uncommon for 5 or more Humans to all tag the same Zed 3 or 4 times. That is 15-20 more ammo needed for one tag. Thus they need more ammo.

    Would a Semi-Auto stryfle MK II (With the underslung magnus et al) be considered a Battle Rifle, Carbine or still an Assault Rifle? It _sounds_ like it'd be one of the former rather than the latter. I'm just curious what you would consider it. I'm not an active nerfer so I'm not asking for loadouts or anything.
