I'm glad you got a soldier to help out with your tactics video. Someone who has had military tactics drilled into him haha. I'm sure you and Beret have had plenty of experience in this field as well and I dont mean to sound like I'm discrediting you. I was just glad to see a current US Army soldier there too. I know while I was in the Army I got plenty of training on squad tactics in urban/forrest/desert environments, training on breaching a room, defense, sectors of fires and heavy weapon employment and so on. Most of your communication during the video was very reminiscent for me and I love it haha. Tell John good luck out there! Also, could you ask him if hes stationed at Ft Lewis and what unit he's with? I was in 16 CAB 2-158th AHB. Thanks Captain! Keep up these awesome and helpful videos.

I personally think there should be a part 2 for squad tactics, because this is the only video that I've seen that actually both make's sence & really would be war practical in any nerf war.

If in the unlikely event I am ever part of a squad, I will most likely be an ammo mule, carrying at least two boxes of darts, lots of pouches full of preloaded mags and loose darts, a pack with those two boxes (or more) of darts and tons of preloaded mags, one pistol, and my modded Mediator. My job would be to take empty mags from squadmates, fill their pouches and holders with full mags, top off their loose dart pouches, and whenever I have time, load empty mags, and occasionally fling foam when a situation gets *especially* desperate.
Okay but I play a zombie LARP and had never considered a lot of this. It really is a very different sort of needed tactics so, cool, thank you!
great video, again. i'd love to see this done bigger. a full hour, cast of 30, full squads, hordes of zs, proper production (maybe ask outofdarts to shoot it?) 'cpt xavs' complete guide to battle tactics'.
have to say though, nearly fainted when you and john went out near the main road looking so black and tac and moving like proper operators. #DONTGETSHOT
That is the ultimate goal. Sadly my Crew is several hundred miles away and scattered these days. 7 years ago that would have been perfectly feasible. Someday though...

Excellent video good captain! Do you have any suggestions on squad roles and what to do with them? Shot gun/ultra cqb, melee, sniper, reloaded guy (which I haven't seen before)special ammo etc., where to put them in the squad, and how many of each should you have (or even if you should just spread the load and give everyone a magnus, instead of having a single mega guy). I would also be interested in seeing if you have suggestions for adding tactics to other nerf guns vs nerf guns events.

PVP squad tactics would be amazing for those of us who like shooting people who can shoot back. Me and my boys are extremely good at close range pvp but longer ranges make all of us except our marksman useless (we are a 5 man with 1 marksman, 1 heavy/ammo mule, a medic that carries snacks (when allowed), navigator/recon, and a leader/ coms man

For Mission One of EndWar I was in a squad with Beret, OoD Luke, and Ryan and his wife from Silverfox. Knowing how much they have warred together, I just picked up on their strategies and cues. It made things run so much smoother. I just wish the rest of the group could have agreed on common signals. Maybe this video will go a ways towards achieving that goal.

Captain Xavier Good tips, Chaylo. I'd like to see a few more videos on the subject, each with a more tightly-focused deep dive. For example, tactics in a squad-vs-squad setting; or better yet, for my purposes, squad-vs-squad-vs-zombies, which is what I see most often in my area. That style adds a level of necessity to things like hand signs and other silent code that I rarely see even mentioned from outside my local scene.

Which is not all bad...there is (supposedly) a fairly low ammo limit for the HvZ part of the event anyway.

our tactic is we have 6 members and i will set a choke point for the zombies and my team will disband from the main humans to find other separated humans while 4 were left at the choke point

@@CaptainXavier It occurs to me that the "Captain's Commentaries:" series does not have its own discrete playlist that I can find. Some of the videos, such as "loadout advice" has its subject matter explained in much greater detail in your auxilliary training videos in early 2020, but a lot of valuable info, especially your video on bullying and HvZ Philosophy kinda got buried in other content. Not saying that's a bad thing to have so much content, just something to be cognizant of.
